While I definitely have a level of sympathy for Kendra, it only goes so far when you are an adult and are responsible for children. I've spent my entire upbringing surrounded by homeschoolers and those in the IBLP spheres. Honestly I am a few phone calls away from being able to hang out with this family myself if I wanted to (spoiler alert, I have never wanted to ). MANY people who grew up in this, with no formal education and "no choices" have ended up running away, spending time homeless, INCLUDING WITH CHILDREN, to escape all of this abuse especially to spare their children of this life. There are choices out there. They are hard. They go against everything you've been raised to do. But MANY people in these circles have done it (and been completely estranged and ostracized for it). But there's always a way out. Kendra and Anna have chosen to stay. That is their choice as American adults who have children. Think of that what you will.

Florida state prisons are not nice, friendly places, dedicated to rehabilitation. They are run by gangs, you either join one for protection or you are alone. He wouldn't fit into a Hispanic gang, black, veteran, drug runner, so that leaves Aryan. It is absolutely epidemic. Maybe he could ask to serve in Arkansas. They might do that.
