That is the problem when abuse is normalized. And in a homeschool environment, no one else to tell. Mama doesn't have time to listen to anyone not quoting scriptures. We don't "tattletail" on others. Yes, Josh only admitted to touching over clothing but I don't believe it. Too many instances. Over a period of time he was touching sisters in bed asleep, having youngest sister sit on his lap, stalking a sister in the laundry room and touching her under her dress, touching the babysitter.

With this happening on vacation that signaled to me the victim could have been his niece on either side. The proximity, the opportunity, would not surprise me. IMO

This happened on a holiday taken with Kendra's family. His family wasn't there.

I have no idea who the child was. I think speculating creates information on the internet that points to a certain child. The privacy of this young girl shouid be something that we all protect.

For me, it is enough to focus on the bad guy who has abused a child AND anyone else in that family who assisted, harbored, or minimized his behavior. The final question is if any other child in his sphere has been abused. The child who told her father has an adult with sense who was not going to hide the crime. There may be other Duggar family members whose children are at risk and their parents/guardians may be silent on protecting them.

Jim Bob's father was a shady guy who did a stint in prison for some financial crimes. And his granddaughter by his daughter says he was a pedophile.

My understanding is victims are usually family/someone with close accessibility. We can speculate all day, but odds are this would follow the same pattern...It isn't hard to guess who the victim might be but what is the point of doing that? It is enough to remind people that victims are usually closer to their abuser then it being a stranger and leave it at that imo....

I always wondered about that. How can a parent refuse a CPS request for investigation? I can see why they would want to, but since CPS primarily investigates primary caregivers, that would be the parents.
