IIRC there was one cameraman in particular who was there throughout the original run of the show, and possibly even when it became Counting On, too. I'd be very interested in a tell-all from him
It would be difficult for a person witnessing abuse and profiting from promoting a cult for years, and doing nothing about it, to write a book, and for the book to come off as helpful rather than a cash grab.

MOO

What was the timeline between when the victim's dad confronted him and the police call?
The father confronted Joe on March 17th, and went to police on the 18th. Tontitown LE contacted Bay County, and the latter issued the arrest warrant. Joe was taken into custody at 3:00 pm on the 18th. Very quick turnaround.

I am interested in what Kendra was arrested for. In this article, she had locks on the outside of the children's bedrooms. Wow.

they’re babies! Can you imagine the terror they must’ve felt to wake up at night locked in their rooms?
Knowing that an even worse horror beyond the door awaited them at the hands of their father. The mother is no prize either. Abuse must be rampant in their home. These people are sickos.

Locks only on the outside is something we frequently see in some of the most heinous child abuse crimes on here. The absolute audacity of this family to portray themselves as wholesome and above others and "godly" people is sickening.

Duggars talked openly about how they did this and didn't lose their weird fanbase back in the day. It's like the modest dress and baby voices are supposed to distract from the admitted abuse and neglect.

And if you say, “I love Jesus,” you can get away with anything. “He molested little girls? He loves Jesus, he isn’t a bad person, he just made a mistake. The little girls in their pink clothes temped him. They should’ve known better.”

So evil!
I wonder if they even had access to a bathroom, once locked in.

What was their biblical "reason" for locking children in the bedrooms?

Verily I say onto thee, if thou cannot copeth with thy multitude of small blessings, thou must joyfully chain and restrain them.

The Duggars have been locking their kids in their bedrooms since Josh started SA'ing his sisters. 25 years ago. Kendra and Joseph apparently aren't the only ones in the next generation following suit. I suspect this weekend there were lots of screwdrivers coming into contact with doors throughout Northwest Arkansas.

No words. I think if I owned a Bible I'd get rid of it.

no kids myself but it always felt wrong. My friends who did it said it was important to teach children they weren't the center of the universe
And children DO need to learn that, but not as newborns!

THEIR Bible, yeah. I have several Bibles, and I need to start reading it again, just for myself.

That some people think this is what mainstream Christians are like is one reason why church attendance is plummeting.

Could they get out in case of a fire?
That would be my biggest concern, and the parents would have a harder time getting to them if they weren't able to escape themselves.

Or go to the bathroom? Let me guess, a bucket? "Bedpan". Like that normalizes anything.
Or Pull-Ups, perhaps.

I could definitely see those kids wetting the bed beyond a "normal" age for that kind of thing, because of all the trauma they have experienced.

Have they found anything in the Bible pertaining to bedwetting?
