Thanks Liz for bringing up the old man, I find it intereting he was booked a few days ago. I'm curious about his cuts and bruises.
Cam..please becareful if you back over to that house..BECAUSE you never know if the killer is reading here and might wait for you because we are getting close and I would HATE for anything to happen to any of our sleuthers here and or anyone else.
I'm still very worried about the public because the killer hasn't been found yet. ESPECIALLY with Halloween tomorrow..I have a strong feeling the killer will do it again soon and maybe he will have interaction with children tomorrow.

Did you guys see the article on orlandosentinel and wesh that states a 19 yr old was abducted and murdered and they took the guy in this morning. He had a knife and they didn't give details of the cod of the girl. Maybe we can check to make sure this guy that was taken in isn't apart of this case. Because he went to orange county this happened.

Garbage Trucks Lead To Missing Girl's Body (about midway down page)



Detective Bruce Owens said he alerted Beseler that clues could be found in trash from around Orange Park.

"If a truck was seen, it would be best to follow it to its next location, so they could search or follow it to the closest landfill, so they could isolate it from the dump," Owens said.

Owens said he got dozens of deputies and police officers on the road after Somer was reported missing. He said he wanted all garbage trucks checked as quickly as possible.

"Time is of the essence. That collection was being done by outside companies," Owens said.

Dozens of squad cars stayed on the trail of the garbage trucks as they traveled across the state line into Georgia.

Passion I agree..I've been thinking about it a lot and didn't they just state recently that "no one in that group" meaning the sex offender group is responsible and they are all cleared.
Why haven't they cleared the family, the boyfriend, and S? I'm still curious about S because I want to know what he was doing before they came home from school. Why not take polys? Why pick up oldest son when she knows Somer is missing?
What if the guy in the pic, i dont think hes a minor and hes very suspicious

Have we really sleuthed mom and close friends?
Not that I think mom had anything to do with it,
but she is a receptionist in a Dr. ofc?
She could of met anyone that admird her, hung
around her and stalked Somer.
DT didn't know he or they were into little girls.........
and maybe this guy has not been caught for any crimes yet
therefore no fingrprints or DNA. Never been in military.

Sleuthing Mom is going to bring out some uglies....but that is what usually happens when one chooses to post personal information and photos online, and shares with friends that post information as well. NOT saying that Mom harmed her daughter, just saying Mom was surrounded by a lot of shady characters, and has been through a lot of relationships with men for her age. 3-marriages and living with B/F even before this last Div is even final. Not sure how many B/F in between and how many B/F from online..? Certainly never knowing any of them for very long or what they could be like, not including their circle of shady friends.

Sorry for the repeat, yikes he's creepy and he kills his prey. I realize Somer is much younger than his previous victims, but who knows.

Do sexual predators stay with one age group? I don't know exactly how to word this so here goes-- like age groups so to speak. Little girls, and then teen girls? Child verses young teens ..?

I believe it has been posted previously and also stated by a forensic psychiatrist on NG show that predators do stay within one age group and often that they seek similar-looking victims. ie: Ted Bundy...young, beautiful, brunettes around college age...but then he did stray from this once with a 13 yo whom he also murdered.

We don't know if this 19 yr old girl looked like a 12 yr old though..I just mean some people like myself some people say I look much younger than I am its crazy. Also, maybe its all about opportunity and he needed to kill again so he grabbed the opportunity. He may be our perp...idk I'm just glad hes caught

Yes...but when it says The Town of Orange Park provides its own waste collection services.....it suggests that it is the same as it is in my city where the Department of Public Works is responsible. So while it may be a contractual situation.....does Orange Park DPW have control over the trucks?

And on the Clay County site there appears to be a distinction made between private & public contractors i.e. Keystone Heights is serviced by Emerald Waste, Inc.

I wonder if there was anyone absent or anyone that left early from either DT's work or her boyfriends?

I'm sure that's been explored, but she is sure to have pictures on her workspace, her computer, at least her cell phone and in her purse. Someone could have been eying Somer, or the whole family for that matter, and finally saw their chance.
Someone at work would possibly know that her schedule was different that day, and might have thought they could get further away with the child. If she talked about going home for lunch that day, or having to find someone else to watch her kids. In conversation about finding a sitter, someone could even ask what time they get out and make it sound natural.

I'm just kind of thinking out loud. My brain is fried from spending an hour in a gym with 50 screaming three year olds.
I have a new respect for special education teachers.

He was booked just yesterday, the 29th.
But the pic shown on FDLE's site was taken on the 27th.
And it seems Dept of Motor Vehicles was notified of his address on the 28th.

Everyone please bear in mind, I am not saying this guy has anything to do with Somer. It's just a predator that I happened to stumble upon, while trying to find the person Shutterfly was referring to. Shutterfly gave really great clues but 'Ms. not-so-sleuthy Liz', was unable to follow them!

The guys name is Brian R. Jones.

I found him also in the Duval County Jail but there was no pic, at least not that I found. The pic on the FDLE site says it was taken on 10/27/09 so it's recent enough.

I was taken aback when I saw his facial bruising. Even though it's possible Jones got in a tussle with the arresting officer(s) - I'm thinking that's kind of unlikely since it seems they'd been out checking on him the previous couple of days prior.

Hmmm .... what do you all think?

According to Nancy Grace last night, the father of Somer states that he found out Somer was missing at 6:25pm by the police department calling him saying your daughter is missing but we are going to find her.
WHY DIDN'T SOMER'S MOTHER, D, CALL HIM?? I know they are through a divorce but put the pity crap aside and call him immediately!! Sorry my own opinion.
They are still married and they are the parents of Somer.
He states that she was brutally murdered. I know this is a rumor but theres a comment on a article from Jacksonville saying its a rumor but that her fingers were removed. Don't know if anyone else heard that? Eck..I hated to write that.
