It's hard to imagine that something could have happened to Somer in the bathroom at that time of day in the open like that.
I have mentioned before that construction dumpsters are not allowed to have household garbage such as might be put in from the worker's lunches. I would guess the burned house did have its own garbage can for household garbage that is not construction debris.
People are always dumping garbage by the side of the road where I live because we live on a scenic drive that has no houses for a couple of miles. It's easy to dig through it to see who dumped it as we have done many times because of the bills, etc that are in the garbage. I think LE has a pretty good idea of where the garbage around her came from.

Shutterfly, the MS page is very interesting and strange. Just to think of doing it for a male minor is pretty weird thinking.- going into the female bathroom. VVery weird.

Looking at some of those free people search pages such as Lycos or 411 should give an idea of who is associated with the homes in the neighborhood, although I don't think they list minors. I like the idea of the teens and their friends. But I don't know how they could get into the house, unless they've been doing it for months and figured out a way to get in. I don't think she went to that house later-too many people around looking. I think it happened right there right away.

I thought they said they followed 9 garbage trucks and new exactly what truck she was in, and that it was from the neighbourhood.

Morning, Shutterfly. Thanks to your post that I just happened to see right before I *was* going to bed ... I've been up since then trying to figure out who you were referring to and still haven't figured it out. Some sleuth I am, huh?

Somehow I came up with some guy with the last name "Jones", and started searching some aliases. I'm pretty sure it's not who you were referring to. Aywho .... it is okay to post names of sexual predators, isn't it?

Because this guy that I just stumbled upon, just happened to be one, and he just happened to be arrested on 10/29 and is now in the Duval County Jail.
Hmmm....

Also, he just happens to have an eye that looks like it's been punched fairly recently and maybe even like his face has been a little manhandled.

Someone please reassure me about what we're allowed to post and/or what's not allowed. This guy is listed as a PREDATOR under FDLE's database.

Nowhere did they say they knew which truck,IIRC, just the neighborhood it came from.

I'm wondering if there were two or more workers at the house - that drove there together? Maybe a couple of them leave to get food or supplies or something , leaving one there alone for a while. Something happens during that time - she is hastily stashed before the others get back - and the perp has to ride home with them - no car of his own?

And if he had any scratches or bruises he could have easily explained them away by saying they happened on the job....sheet rock fell, scratched himself on a nail, saw nicked him, etc.

Decided to take the actual names out. I'm paranoid, and I know I wouldn't want my name out there if a crime occurred in my neighborhood! Thanks for the help!

This is what I don't get! If they're following the dang trucks why didn't they inspect each dumpster or trash can before it was dumped into the truck! It just seems so logical. I mean they were right there!

The current onwer of that property is a 28 y/o female that was granted the property by the estate of the people listed on the reverse address lookup.

Everyone please bear in mind, I am not saying this guy has anything to do with Somer. It's just a predator that I happened to stumble upon, while trying to find the person Shutterfly was referring to. Shutterfly gave really great clues but 'Ms. not-so-sleuthy Liz', was unable to follow them!

The guys name is Brian R. Jones.

I was taken aback when I saw his facial bruising. Even though it's possible Jones got in a tussle with the arresting officer(s) - I'm thinking that's kind of unlikely since it seems they'd been out checking on him the previous couple of days prior.

I still think the reason this was able to be carried off without a witness to the abduction is because whoever did this is someone Somer was used to seeing and speaking with. If she had a history of running off, away from other siblings, she would come in contact with other people. If this was the work of a predator (and I think it was), they groomed her to feel comfortable with them. Starting with small talk one day, the next time a little more conversation etc. I don't think they specifically planned to take Somer that day but whatever the circumstances were, it was the right time for them to act. Somer had run away from her siblings and other children upset. If she came across this person, they may comfort her, oh, what's wrong tell me about it, etc. They may have her come inside (to somewhere, wherever) to get a tissue to wipe tears, or have some ice cream to make her day better etc. At this point this person still has done nothing wrong so if someone comes after Somer or finds her there, everything is OK. Whatever the circumstances were after this point on that day, this predator felt the opportunity was there to act, and act he did.

I still think the best bet for finding the "who" in all of this is to talk to neighborhood kids to see who Somer may talk to from time to time. I guarantee there were lots of someones who saw Somer talking to this person, and it didn't seem out of the ordinary or odd. She probably considered this person a "friend" (shudder).

As for the car, I am thinking there probably was one, but if there wasn't maybe LE is just putting that info out there to lull the perp into security. He's thinkin' hmmm they are looking for a car and I don't have a car, sweeeeet. They aren't lookin' for me.

I can't fit time frames together in my mind. Somer would have been at/near that house around 3:15. Lots of other kids/parents walking by the area around that time. Then the high school let out, so lots more older kids walking by the area. Sometime after 4:00, Somer's Mom picked up her son at the park across the road, and there was LE at the corner of Floyd Circle. After that there were lots of people out searching for her.

It just seems like so much activity going on from the time she went missing to well into the night.

I wish someone local could walk the walk from Somer's school to her neighbourhood on Monday to see what the normal activity is in the area.

It says they made contact with SO on supervision. Wouldn't it be possible to be a RSO but no longer on supervised probation. If you have to register for life it doesn't necessarily mean you are on supervised probation for life, right??
I just found this interesting because it make a clear distinction of "sex offenders on supervision" vs. all RSO's

So maybe it's possible that all SO's were not checked immediately???

You could really be on to something there, that is new hair growth and it appears there are more scratches on his neck.
