what is up with his mustache hair?? Did he have a bloody nose?

Looks bruised to me. Maybe 'someone' elbowed him there, or kicked him. The facial growth also appears to be fairly recent, to me anyway.

I'll also add that (in the link I posted above) is says the parole/probation agents that supervise the sex offenders went out to make contact and check each one.

No offense to parole/probation agents (they are underpaid and overworked) but we saw what a great job the one supervising Garrido (the one who went to his home, not the most recent one, kudos to him for acting immediately when concerns were voiced) did even when specific complaints were filed against him. I would have liked LE to make those visits.

Also, REALLY WAAAAAAY back in the beginning of the case someone posted up DT's FB link....on FB she had party pics posted.....does everyone recall those?? The pics vanished from FB right after Somer disappeared.

Regardless, this guy is in pics from that party - that both SP & DT were at as per the pics and IMO he sure looks like Michael Lyons....keep in mind this guy is wearing what looks like a mullett wig. Accept for the hair it seems like the same guy to me.

Anyways, I tried to do a side by side for comparison but the party pic goes too distorted when i crop it. If someone else can pull it off please do.

I really think these two guys are one in the same.

what is really boggling my mind (sorry if it's already been talked about/answered) but how did LE know to check the landfill, on NG last night she mentioned they went thru tons of garbage and finally found her

Well IF I am, it would be a real miracle. He seems a bit old to be commiting sexual crimes, kidnapping and murder, doesn't he? I wonder how many days growth of facial hair that is. Mustache looks like it had a head start, on the beard area - but it's hard to tell due to the redness/bruising.

Also, his address was listed as Jacksonville. Can any locals tell us how far the addy (below) is from Orange Park?

Wow, he is 72 y/o. Not that any of you can't read the BD for yourselves, jus sayin...and I agree that we could be onto something. Thanks, Liz.

Location of conviction says 'interstate' - federal crime ? - any way we can become more aware of the circumstances of that crime?

I also have not found an effective link to Duval Jail/JSO....what's he in for on 10/29?

ETA - I see that Liz also mentioned his advanced age above my post - I was simply pointing out his age (and remembering 'possibly coming out of retirement' or some such phrase) and while it would be easy to question his ability to commit this type of crime, I do not question it. MOO.

Everyone please bear in mind, I am not saying this guy has anything to do with Somer. It's just a predator that I happened to stumble upon, while trying to find the person Shutterfly was referring to. Shutterfly gave really great clues but 'Ms. not-so-sleuthy Liz', was unable to follow them!

The guys name is Brian R. Jones.

On satellite view, his current address is less than a block from a large park complex. Ugh. 2008 Lincoln is a bit nicer vehicle than we usually see.

Appears its a probation violation. Failure to notify of address change?

I have a feeling that there will probably be an increase in RSO arrests now that all eyes are on them. I think normally they aren't looked at too often, or too closely and get away with too much. jmo.

Oh yes, I noticed B.R. Jones was currently in jail. When I checked the Jax Sheriff's site to look him up there, there were two listings. Now when I just checked again, there was only one. He'd been arrested in June (I think) for a DWI. I notice on the FDLE's site that it was Dept of Highway Safety & Motor Vehicles that updated his address on 10/28 - yet his pic is dated 10/27.

The current arrest is for violation of probation. So, I'm curious about that violation, of course.

And yes, that (Jones) was one of the neighbor's last names, but I don't think this B.R. Jones is related to the neighbor (but I'm *not sure*, as I'm not good at this, like most of you are).

I was actually searching for other different people last-named "Jones" when I really just stumbled on this guy.

ETA Clarification: Just checked the Jax Sheriff's site again and there are two Jones listed. But the other Jones was middle initial "K".
