Okay, all caught up and very disappointed...I was so hoping there had been a break in the case. I checked my blackberry @ noon and saw where white van and men in white suits were at the Gano house and that LE was at Diena's and substation and I got all excited.
So are we still looking at RSO Jones and is Kellum out of the scope of possible suspects because of EMD?

Thanks, I am assuming there would be more than one truck used in Orange Park on Garbage day but who knows. Maybe one a day for each area as each neighborhood has a specific day based on your address.

It has been stated several times in media that the trash around her body was from her neighborhood. I am not sure of how they define neighborhood, though. They could mean within blocks or within miles.

i know in my area in south fl..they pick up this neighborhood tues and fri...but i also see trucks going those same days miles away from here..but i'm sure they all go to the same landfill..so i think it was very smart of them to do what they did...and not miss her ...following one truck in one neighborhood..they covered all basis

Yes, with a LARGE trash can right in front. That looks to be the kind that the truck picks up and not a human - that is what we have and humans don't dump our trash, a giant claw picks it up.

I somehow don't think Kellum is responsible for Somer-it seems that these most serious offenders have their 'explosions' and it is seeming more to me that it is a serial....maybe he has moved on but I also feel that the sleuthing here is narrowing it down.....keep it up. Serials have a cycle-a cooling off period etc. History is key-esp the history of the area-and surrounding states.

Here's the sand from the park.

This is similar to what I have in Montana. A truck arm picks it up. Is this considered commercial? I was thinking big metal square things as commercial.

Also, this (and multiple other media reports) is why we keep going back and forth on what day was trash day.

Searchers combed the area before investigators, following garbage trucks that collected trash Tuesday, spotted her lifeless legs in a landfill about 50 miles away.

Good Friday afternoon Sluthers. I am reading to catch up; when I read this quote, something came to mind. Not having closely followed all the directions explored already.... I am tossing this out. If already covered... just keep moving forward.
The reference to Bundy... brought the thougth ..... have the Sluther's looked an any similar (and possibly recent - say past 2 or 3 years) of other female children abductions/murders in the Jax area. Was anything found that cross references anything (name/relationship) that you have found in your efforts on Somer's death?

Just a thought....
But Ted Bundy travel.
and if the pert is serial he/she might be traveling and he might not be just targeting Childern.

and when they found her..i think they can see name on things..like boxes or things that might give them an idea of where she was first put in....if it was a store dumster..it would have names on boxes and things..so i think they might be able to see that way....even a home trash can would have some evidence...name of something on it...wouldn't you think?

It was smart thinking to follow the Garbage, I am sure they knew they would find some evidence, but I am sure they didn't expect to find Somer's remains. What kind of killer disposes a body in this manner. IMO one that wants to get caught that shows zero regard for life. The 15 yr old who recently killed Elizabeth concealed the body and very well apparently.

So John Walsh probably has it right-a serial......but while it is all fresh that is why THEY ARE ASKING EVERYONE ABOUT ACTIVITIES of people they know-who is here now-who left the area etc. Time is of the essence and LE knows that the input from locals is of utmost importance-who was here-who left suddenly. First clue. Because a serial has a pattern........of appearing and then disappearing. I don't think they believe it was some transient type-I think they feel it is someone with TIES to the community.

I don't think this Kellan guy is our perp.

I am still stuck on CWG and more so than ever. It is possible since he is last person on report, he could have been stopped by PO while canvassing the area and not the know the family....but if that is not the case and he did know family I would not be surprised either.

However, after coming across some pictures last night, not showing mom in the best of light - I think theses were discovered on thread 1 but I first saw them last night. I have a new opinion. I think with lifestyle, it is quite possible that a person could have been around Somer and kids that should not have been. And it is seeming to me that this person could be a serial perp but knew the family and they had no clue.

Yes, and there were several others we thought that CWG could have been responsible. A TON of us sent in this yesterday to AMW - his mug looks identitcal to the one of Shannon Poulk!!
