It is possible that AC (13 yo brother) came home from middle school and Sean P. told him Somer was missing isn't it?

Did Diena mention how it was that AC was already there looking?

IIRC, the middle school got out later (3:30ish) than the elementary school (2:30ish).

Here aremy questions on the garbage.
1. There is no way that anyone could get a body into the garbage dump area, I don't think, especially to end up in Somer's neighborhood spot. I don't think that anyone can have access to a dump and not only that, how would they traverse a mound of garbage and coincidentally end up in Somer's neighborhood garbage dump area? I think that is totally out of the picture.

2. I posted before that hubby was at a motel when a garbage truck came and took the garbage out of the dumpster. That is with a mechanical arm. They shake it out and then compact it in the truck, mechanically. Don't think that would work to be able to see legs at the dump. JMO and not meditating on that thought. Plus, aren't dumpsters in commercial places such as stores, etc locked? Does anyone know? That would make a difference.

3. That leaves residential. If the garbage was to be picked up in the AM, no one could stash anything into my garbage can except maybe a piece of paper. I don't think the perp would be looking around for empty garbage cans hoping to find one.

4. I can't see my garbage guys ever letting the homeowner empty the stuff from the can into their trucks. Does that happen anywhere?

5. I can't see it being the park as there were just too many people around and it would be way too much of a risk.

6. People were looking pretty quickly for Somer. So how could anyone have time to ditch her unless they did put her into a car in a garage or shed and then dump her later. But strange that the garbage is from her neighborhood. To me that indicates that it is somebody from the neighborhood who knows the perfect place to put her into the garbage (I hate typing that!) Otherwise, they would be long gone. Why stick around? And stick around where?

7. The RSO on the police report. Continue to say, "Way too weird?" They just happened to put the correct name and address on the report of an RSO? If indeed iit wasn't the RSO, who was it because it certainly was somebody!

So what garbage can, dumpster? could be used? I think it's totally determined that it can't be a construction dumpster. Any ideas on it?

I have thought about the lawn care people next door, I have known some of the lawn care outfits that know all the good dumpsters they can put their clippings in without getting caught. Do you see a dumpster at the house next door?

Nonni ~
I tried to find the video you asked about, but I'm not sure which one it is (I've watched so many, I can't keep track of the names and dates of all of them). There was a lot of discussion about it here a few days ago. Maybe someone else knows which one?

Thanks for looking, SS. I will go back tomorrow when i am less tired :pcguru: and read posts from earlier in the week. I may have to give it up in a few minutes and get some sleep, just can't fight this addiction.

I like everyone here has no clue where the children were. They could have been in the other room trying to sleep, like Casey did with dragging Caylee around. They could have been in the other room with strict orders to stay there and play until bed time. We know they weren't with their father due him not being around in 2yrs. so the other option is M. the babysitter. OR maybe home alone with the oldest in charge?

BBM

Bolded is the answer to the rhetorical question.

What is the point of speculation about where the children were the night these mysterious photos, (photos no one can see), were taken?

Did Somer disappear the night those photos were taken? Or did she disappear some ... oh, let's see ... 350 days later?

Link please?

IMO.

Electrician, Drywaller, Painter, Cabinet people, Floor people, Siders, Roofers. I do not know how much of this work the guy would do himself, but with any of those people you might also have them just coming by and doing measurements and stuff or picking up or leaving tools or materials and not really doing any work and if the general contractor is not there he would not have any idea they had been there.

When we had an addition put on our home, the roofing guys showed up 5 hours late. General contractor was never around that day. These roofing guys were .......well, something else. A girlfriend of one of the roofers showed up at our house, and proceeded to start a huge argument with him out in front. Screaming and yelling ensued. Hub and I were pissed! WTF? Told them to go home and come back and finish another day when general contractor was there. They told us to get f#$%&ed. LOL....General contractor told us "well, that's how they are, but they do good work"

Long story short............we had subcontractors here on a daily basis working independently. No general contractor present.

I used to work at a factory and there was a dumpster a couple hundred yards from the breakroom. I saw a local lawn care company dump many a bag of clippings at night in that dumpster of the factory.

The entire family and the friend SP were contacted and mobilized to search for Somer. Details about how each and every one of them was contacted has been written out in the police report and talked about in media interviews. Except one.
Also, the early media reports said that Diena stopped by the OPAA on her way home to pick up the oldest son. Later, Diena says in a TV interview that he was at the OPAA looking for Somer.
In that same TV interview, after she flagged down the police officer (because, she says "I didn't know what else to do."), and they went to the OPAA and the video went black for a few seconds.
She shrugged her shoulders when she said "I didn't know what else to do" and it almost seemed as if she was trying to justify her actions or apologize for flagging down the police officer.

The shrugging of the shoulders seemed out of place. Her words "I didn't know what else to do" struck me as odd. He apologetic demeanor seemed incongruent with the situation.

I grabbed this and got pulled into discussion with son and friend and forgot what I was going to say.

SOMETHING along the lines of this:

If her body was put in residential trash that did not belong to the killer ... how could he be certain that the homeowner would not come down to add trash -- or was that just a chance he had to take?

How close is Horton to the city limits (I know it is outside the city limits)?

Media reports say that LE followed the trucks carrying trash picked up on Tuesday. But trash on Horton is picked up on Wednesday ... so IF media is right, and it was picked up on Tuesday, it has to be trash from within the city limits.

I've thrown trash in commercial trash cans so they are not locked here but can't say for OP area. I can't see inside always ... just tossed my trash bag in ...

There was more ... and it sounded so brilliant in my head too. I hope it comes back to me.

I agree that it was someone that had a knowledge of dumpster/trash collection etc. I also think, as I've said a bunch of times, that it was someone who had the means to get her body to the trash without calling any attention on himself whatsoever. Like a groundskeeper with a riding mower and cart attached, or a small truck he used in his daily routine, etc. Something that everybody could see and think nothing of it. He'd be next to invisible.

I think, imo, that our little Somer was placed in a communal dumpster of sorts. Thereby putting many other people in the mix who use the same receptacle.

cell phones. mom to son. Perhaps she called him and told him to go where Somer likes to hang out & look for her.

Does the fact that Sean P. was at the house (not normal routine according to Diena in police report) to wait until the kids were home mean anything?

What was the normal routine?

#1. I agree.
#2. I think they might have been able to see her legs. To explain why would require a lot links on the human body and crushing injuries. I looked it up, over and over again. I even did calculations. I still don't know for sure.
#3. Agreed.
#4. Happens here, you tell them it's over the weight limit or has glass in it, the trash guys make you load the can if you want it gone.
#5. True, but anywhere would have been a risk.
#6. Haven't figured out that puzzle myself.
#7. That still has my head messed up, but I'm thinking total incompetence.

I think if she was in a residential trash can, the person would have had to load it themselves, or find a way to make her body smaller. Otherwise, too much risk that it would be left for being too heavy.
Does anyone know if Orange Park has a "special pickup" policy? Like here, if you are a landlord and have to evict anyone, you set their stuff to the curb and then you can call for a special pickup to grab the stuff, because they have a limit in what they take on trash day. Could it have been someone that called for something like that?
I toyed with the idea that she may have been inside a fridge or other appliance, but if there are metal scrappers in FL or if they have the same door removal policy, that wouldn't work.

Dr. Fessel ... I was just thinking about subconractors!

My sister is having her kitchen redone and there is a guy for the painting, a guy who took down the cabinets (he wanted them) and a guy who will be doing the flooring.

That's in addition to the contractors she hired.

I had asked long ago exactly what kind of renovations were being done right now. Because in news report, it said the house was down to the 2x4s ... and I asked what kind of workers you'd need at this point ... can you or anyone give me a list of possibles?
My hubby's a retired electrician. He's asleep, but I can tell you from listening to him throughout the years that they would be needing electricians, plumbers, measurements may be needed for inside drywall/flooring, and perhaps, being as this is in FL, radiant panel measurements for the attic. Oh-and foundation work if it's on piers.
Does that help?

A building inspector would probably have to come okay the work on the house after certain jobs are done, and maybe before another set of workers come in to start on something else. I'd think the remodeler or general contractor would know pretty much when things were scheduled. If someone attacked Somer in the house, they probably knew that no one would be there or show up to catch him.
