FL - Somer Thompson, 7, Orange Park, 19 Oct 2009 #16

Beginning at 11am this morning, the local biker bar in Green Cove Springs was holding a fundraiser for Somer's family. Everyone was to meet at the bar, drive to Somer's house & deliver flowers, then ride to Buffalo Bills in Argyle for a cookout (sponsored by Luv 2 Ride, Faternal Order of Police, Carrabbas Italian Grill, Applebee's, Buffalo's Wild Wings, Ronnie's Wings & Oyster Bar). The Local 122 Jacksonville Fire & Rescue Department is doing the cooking for the bikers... there is a local country/southern rock band playing. The cost is $10 per person. Once they are finished with the cookout, they are all going to ride back to Somer's house and give her family all of the money they collected. It states 100% of all donations will be delivered to the Thompson family at the end of the event.

Is there Family Dollor stores in Floridia we have them here in Missouri my niece has a wallet from there that has skulls and hearts. I looked on their web site but could not find school supplies maybe someone better than me can look

I looked there, too. Couldn't find school supplies, book bags or lunch kits/bags.
Thought for sure I was onto something when I found the stores were there, but nada.

I think why they are saying serial killer is because of the missing lunch box and tote. I think it's because the killer has kept them as a souvenir. Otherwise, they would have been found with her. IMO

I think it has to be someone local. Because the body was found in local garbage, I think that it would have to be someone who knew when the garbage was going to be picked up. I don't think they dreamed that she would be found.

imo.... a perp would not risk dumping Somers belonging somewhere other than where her body was dumped, as it would be double the risk of being found. .....

........I also have a problem with the inconsistancies of what bag and lunchbox she was carrying. I think that as backpacks were found at her home it changed accordingly, and I dont get why.....Im wondering if it is because she made it home and her things were there and now new items are to be believed to have been with her.....

I think the missing bag and lunch box suggest that she got into a car with someone, probably someone she knew or who claimed they were giving her a ride home. If someone grabbed her off of the street they aren't going to grab her bags too unless perhaps they grabbed her things first to lure her away. If she was struggling and possibly scratched the perp, she'd drop her things to fight back.

I also wonder what the purpose of disposing of them separately was. Perhaps he hoped that it would obscure her identity.

I so totally agree Gypsy Blue..... I can't remember a case with so many inconsistancies about such personal information on the victim..


I wondered about sp also. but I just can't get over the fact cross guards at 2 crossings did not see somer that day.. So how did she get home without someone seeing her???

Did sp have a car that day (which we probably know he did meeting for lunch with DT) and thought he would go pick the kids up at school.. but on the way saw Somer by herself?? so he talked to her why she was alone.. and took her then?? I am seeing him driving close to school area and seeing her.. before the crossing guards.. that is the only way I any way can see sp with Somer that day..

I have a bad vibe about sp but just can't put finger on it..

Good question where those items are if they weren't found in the same area of the landfill as she was. It seems either the perp would still have them, they were tossed at another location, or :waitasec:. MOO

I must have missed that. All I recall hearing was a black book bag and a jumpsuit. What were the other versions of her appearance? And why would there be inconsistencies? Didn't mom and sibs know what she was wearing and carrying?

I don't see the advantage in withholding this information from the public from the beginning. Maybe they do think that the perp kept her personal items.

I am pretty sure they filmed this just after the funeral.. local media were doing articles about DT taping segment for amw.. even showed a small clip of her.

I remember because same scene is in the amw show..

I remember because That frame behind DT to the right of her is THE LOCK OF SOMER'S Hair I think....


So it has been awhile since taped . delayed showing 2 weeks because of baseball games.. so now the 3 week it is shown.. so say 4 weeks ago taped?? sound right or little longer even.. just a shame..

How do you explain sp setting up the account for DT for donations?? If I thought someone close to me killed one of my children I couldn't accept them doing this for me.. I would be raising cane...

Don't get me wrong something weird is happening with sp just I don't know what... yet any way..
