I don't know, MommaD. I just re-read it, and I just don't know that it helped at all. God, I hope it helps someone!

The exclusive word got me last night doggies.. AMW is starting to sound like

the national enquirer or globe those type magz.. That word should not be used I feel on a show like AMW..

AMw will start to lose credibility doing that carp... It really upset me when I saw that..

You know, I remember when I saw that last night, that "exclusive" hit me, too.
But I rationalized it, thinking that if I thought it was just the every day, run-of-the-mill stuff that had been around since she was found, I may not watch the show. I hope it's just one of those buzz words that gets people's attention.
(O/T, but "Breaking news" does it for me, every time).

How do you explain sp setting up the account for DT for donations?? If I thought someone close to me killed one of my children I couldn't accept them doing this for me.. I would be raising cane...

Don't get me wrong something weird is happening with sp just I don't know what... yet any way..

DT is on medication. She isn't thinking logically. She said in an interview that it could be anyone even SP. Why mention him??? Because in her heart of hearts she knows he's the only difference for that day.

Why would someone who isn't guilty set up donations etc? Usually the killer stays in the picture if it's someone that's in the circle of friends, relatives etc. They are involved. Perhaps SP sees this as an opportunity to profit over Somer's death. All DT had to do was set up a fund for her daughter at the bank. This is most likely all SP doing. For someone so smart SP is pretty dumb. He is making a lot of mistakes. I'm surprised with LE for not arresting him or at least searching his car etc. Maybe they are trying to catch more than one person. Who ever did this didn't do this alone.

So it takes a village to murder a child, too, hm? Or at least to get by w/murder?
You know, in a horrible, twisted way, you're right. Those who know something, anything, and don't speak up? They're guilty, too.

it has been a bit since i have followed this thread...i have seen the interview with DT where she says it could have been anyone even....and lets the sentence go. can you tell me where she mentions that it could have been SP? You seem to have a strong opinion on this that i will admit i just dont get

He's the one. I bet he picked her up with a friend and they both raped and killed and deposited poor little Somer. I think the kids and Diena know. I see there is something evil in SP. I don't believe anything that has been said. They all knew she was dead when reporting her missing to the police. I would question the kids about what they know.

What makes you think the kids and DT know? and why would they not tell police? I would imagine the police talked with him and checked his car? IDK

Can someone please explain why it matters so much where the items came from? :waitasec: tia

Thumbs down to skulls & bones for little kids! When I first heard bout skulls on her backpack I was sure it was a mistake.

I'm very glad my kids are out of school cos I honestly dont think I could deal with what's going on today. Oy! :bang:

It's only been 7 yrs (2002) but it seems like so much has changed=far more difficult to parent.

I have the feeling for a long long time that AMW was more into sensationalism and not much substance. I remember thinking that years ago and wondering how JW got to be so slick.

At any rate, LE was certainly looking for backpacks , whatever, in the garbage, I am sure. I don't think it would have slipped past them.

LE has said that no one is NOT a suspect. The construction owner said that they were in the clear. That is not so according to the sheriff, IMO.

I just can't see SP? Too little time. If he wanted to do some weird crime against Somer, that certainly wouldn't be the time to do it.

But you have to wonder what ST and SP were up to that day. Doesn't make sense that she comes home for lunch. If he has a car, and he has nowhere to go, why not meet at a restaurant right by her work somewhere?

What post are you referring to? I don't recall anyone saying that it mattered. But now that you mention it, I could see their origin being important if they were custom made. That would mean that anyone who spots one of the items would know it was hers. If they aren't custom, I find it odd that they didn't just contact the manufacturers and get photos instead of waiting all of this time and relying on sketches.

Here are my thoughts as of today ;) And that's subject to change.

I'm sticking with my theory of someone possibly totally unrelated nabbing her at the park. She may have seen him before, because he probably hung out at the park, watching kids. I think the way he was able to get her in the car or to go with him really doesn't matter because however it was done evidently caused no one to notice.

I don't think the fact that there is a fence around the property at Gano was a big factor with Somer, at all. Some kids are completely oblivious to barriers. I have a little girl that lives up the street from me that is a PERFECT example....and honestly an accident waiting to happen. My entire driveway and front porch was under construction a few months ago (roped off)...do you think it stopped her??? nope...she was knocking on my door asking me if I had seen a puppy...I don't even know how she got up on the porch!?! My point is...some kids are like that, they are not bashful, they are not used to barriers or limitations, and I feel Somer was that type of child.

I also think all of the speculation on the book bag and lunch bag is ridiculous and frustrates me. I'm really not even sure at this point why it matters where they came from unless someone has found similar items already. But I don't understand why DT doesn't just say where she bought them? Wouldn't that simplify it? I spent hours last night looking on-line for those 2 items. I can't find them anywhere. That tells me maybe they are a couple years old, maybe they are hand-me-downs from her older sister, and currently not being sold anywhere. The skull thing has been popular for a few years now. The piggy?...I dunno. That's why I went on e-bay...not looking for collectibles...but looking more for yard sale type items...and I looked on craigslist too...with no luck. So either the items aren't accurately portrayed as they've been recreated, or they are a few years old and out of circulation, or it's just a coincidence that none of us can find them anywhere and they are currently being sold everywhere (fat chance).

I still want an answer to the attempted abduction approx. 10 days before Somer's abduction. There is something way too hinky with the undercover cop story. I don't believe it. Why would the mother that witnessed the attempted abduction AND the little girl completely distort the facts of what happened??

I think maybe people are trying to find out where the book bag and lunch box came from so that we all have an accurate depiction of those items, rather than an artist's rendering, which is really nothing more than a close approximation. If we can find the actual items, then it might help jog possible witnesses memories - "Hey - I saw that exact same book bag!" or "I saw that exact lunch box!" Since there have been several inconsistencies describing clothing/hair style/color of bow/ribbons, etc., having something tangible and accurate to look at could help people zero in on the killer(s) if those items had been seen by anyone.

If someone could answer this question for me? When they spotted her at the tanks..was she walking on the sidewalk in front of them..or running behind them? I noticed a deep wooded area next to the tanks....I know this sounds silly..but could she have noticed someone in those woods following her and ran to the house on Gano because people were there. I could see her going into that house if that were the case..but not saying anything..and then walking on home....later to be grabbed?

I can't really find records of missing FL children or unsolved homicides of FL children from the late 90's on in which there hasn't already been an arrest. Maybe someone has additional records.

I've been meaning to tell you THANK YOU for the amazing work you did in compiling that list of abducted/missing/murdered children!!!!! Sometimes, lack of access to cable TV is a good thing!
When I get the chance, I'm going to look at the links you posted and see if a pattern emerges.
Great sleuthing!!!!:woohoo:

I'm still wondering if the 4 attempted abductions from Timicuaun Elementary in Jacksonville in 2008 were related.
Strange how many young girls were abducted this year from busy streets or areas and no one noticed anything unusual. Thank goodness for the video in the Tori Stafford case.

Good thoughts, but if she really did talk to this Kyle at the house, and if she'd been chased out of the woods by somebody, I don't think she'd be commenting on what good work was being done on the house. I still wonder how close the witness was to her to see she "had a frown on her face" by the tanks. :waitasec: MOO

What 4 attempted abductions? I'm not familiar with those? Can you fill me in?

I've been reading about the cases that hopetohelp posted, and a thought has occurred- imagine that!

I had initially suspected that the killer(s) disposed of Somer in the garbage (Ugh!! I hate to type that!!!) because they were inexperienced and in a hurry to hide the evidence of their crime, and perhaps a dumpster was nearby where she was killed. Now, I'm thinking it's a high possibility that the killer(s) planned on burying her or hiding her in a more remote location, but when the missing persons report went out and the all-out search began with cops and helicopters and neighborhood volunteers all over the place, he/she/they realized they were running out of time, so Plan A (burying her in a remote location) was discarded, and a Plan B had to be formulated quickly before it was too late and they were seen/noticed.

I say this because so many homicide victims are found buried in shallow graves or found in bodies of water, etc., and it seems that Somer's poor little body was discarded in a hurry in the hopes that she would never be found and the killer(s) wouldn't be seen or caught with her.

Feedback, please?

Makes perfect sense to me, sorrell. Do you think the killer lives in the area, or passing through?

Yes that was unbelieveable to have that video of Tori. There also was a video of that girl missing from Myrtle Beach. I say put cameras on every corner.

Where is Somers Mom. Why isn't she talking to the press?
LE should talk to these kids that walked home from school that day. Ask them questions like did you see a car driving on the wrong side of the road that day. Or did you see a guy smoking a cigartee on the corner? I feel these children might have seen something that they didn't realize that they saw..Does that make sense?
