A failed abduction

The sheriff said there is no indication of a link between Somer's disappearance and an Oct. 10 attempted abduction of a 5-year-old girl about a block from where Somer disappeared.

Boivin said his officers have kept an eye out for any suspicious blue Nissan SUVs matching the description of one used in the abduction attempt.

Boivin said his agency received a flier from the Sheriff's Office a week before the attempted abduction that a suspicious black SUV pulled up to a student at Orange Park Junior High School. He said there was no indication the incident was an attempted abduction, or that there is any connection to Somer's disappearance. Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Mary Justino said she is trying to gather more information about the junior high school incident.

Back to the attempted abduction on Oct. 10. Has anyone looked to see if the blue Nissan SUV matches any of the vehicles registered to any of the known RSOs in the immediate vicinity? I will start checking them now.

I just looked at what I think is CPC's myspace page, and one of his "friends" has a photo of Somer as his avatar photo. Is it kosher to link to myspace pages? There's something odd about this particular page - his name on myspace is oby (am I allowed to say that?) but he is using the missing person's photo of Somer as his avatar photo.

Advice on whether or not I can link to that page? TIA!

his little icon he used for anxious looks like something one would use if scared or waiting for someone to come you don't want to see... I feel anyway..

I don't know, Sorrell, and I sure don't want to tell you wrongly.
His living in/being from (if it's true) Glen St Mary, is a very teeny tiny little town where Haleigh's mom lives.
And Orange Park is only about 50 miles due north of Satsuma. And this guy drives a truck. And 2 little girls.

I suppose this "friend" of CPC's could be using Somer's pic as his avatar photo as a tribute or memorial to her.

When I first saw her photo I was taken aback. He has several photos of kids on his page that I assume are his kids, or nieces and nephews.

Hopefully, the pic of Somer is just his way of remembering her on his myspace page.

I found a blue 4 door on Pecan court.. orange park , fl

a rso lives there and its around the corner from Somer's.. but the car isn't listed as registered to him..
but sitting in drive way on google maps.
it could be long gone by now ,,, hard telling how old the maps are.
only way out of his road is turn left go past somer's go right and I don't know where it goes.. you can see his road from Somer's back yard ,, its almost across the street from her back yard. and then 3 houses down on the right..

I have been reading the Somer case a bit but not keeping up by any stretch. Your comments on the "mystery poster" got my interest so I went and found the posts you mentioned:

The vast majority on here are looking in the wrong direction. Pay particular attention to body language/discourse analysis in the interviews on the day of this crime, and on days immediately after.
Once you have done so, you will know more.
Add this to information gleaned from the police report, google maps and police procedure and you will know who murdered this child.

I think that the point of this poster is that with their training, they are inferring this information from the interviews on tv and ont YouTube. Its like what they do on the Fox show "Lie to Me".

It is taking ones body language, grammatical structure, and overall responce to situations and deducing if someone is telling the truth, a half-turth, or a bold face lie. It is no easy task, to say the least. I don't think that this person is infact saying he knows the name, address, and phone number to the killer, I think he is saying that if one uses all of the information that is available, one will find the area where the perp lives/works, hence one will find the perp.

I don't think soot is a random thing to say.. It seems like it is common sense thing to say since the house LE investigated was a BURNED house.. I said this before about soot way back before the dad said anything on tv.. I am sure its in my posts threads way back.. I could see paint, drywall mud, drywall dust and whatever else one uses to fix a house that has been in a fire.. just depends what level of refurb they are at..

I got more of the impression that BSO wanted us to look at the mom more for not crying.. I for one was not going there.. until LE gives me a reason to look at the family closer I am not.. sure some things bother me about the family but I will let that go for now..

If BSO really wanted to help he should of stayed around and helped not give us more cryptic info.. we have had enough of that in this case..

If BSO knew all that and could tell us we would find the perp, then why hasn't he called LE and told them and this case should of been solved at least 3 days after he was here..

But no ..... here we are still sitting here with same info . oh I forgot a book tote with skull and crossbones with a bow and a pig insulated lunch box.. that no one (even me ) can find any where one like them on the www.....

So Mr Tabby Who is your # 1 suspect ???????

One would think they would like to get business but only way this company could get business to me would be word of mouth from someone or jot his info from his auto... why advertise on a auto if you aren't published number and no one can find you to hire you..??? why would a business be so secretive??? hmmmm

I figure the OP is a bored old man sitting at home just trying to impress us all (ladies) with his "vast" knowledge of things, when in reality he knows as much of this case as we all do. Not much.

Let's imagine for a second that he does know how to read people mannerisms. This could be a very lucrative line of work, if you asked me. I ask the OP... if the criminal has not been covered in the media... whose mannerisms is he going to read then?

Where does one learn the art of reading people's body language? I doubt he works for FBI or other LE, because... what interest is there to him to "steer" us "ladies" in the right direction?

Shouldn't he be trying to help LE catch the poop?

DOes that make me old because I have told someone before that claimed he was in the FBI (which was obvious he wasn't or never would be) and would call the head guy on me "Well you know J. Edgar Hover was a crossdresser... they supposedly have pics.." and I actually knew who Hoover was? :angel:
