Just saw a preview on tv...abc Nightline News just came on here where I am 11:35 est and there is going to be coverage on Somer's case.

I told LE about those cans!!! that is why I went by tonight....they do not look like they have been touched......of course I couldn't stop and really check, but they were sitting in the exact same spot....full!

Thank you! I've been watching these cases like a hawk, but my Hubby hasn't..well bits and pieces he sees on NG or some other program. But even he was taken aback with that banner!!!

I'm even thinking of taking this district wide...that's how furious I am, that either they know or heard about these cases and Iggyd, or they simply just don't care, since it's not in their state. :innocent:

My nursing home theory was to put WLK in the area... not Somer near the nursing home.

I think she hid behind the tanks until her brother and sister went by. If she then stopped to talk to the workers at 1080 Gano, then dawdled and headed home, she could be the last child walking home from school. She may even have dawdled long enough for the crossing guards to leave.

If she was the last child on the street, she would have been an easy target. Especially for a known predator that may have been visiting his brother at a nursing home in that area.

All this after losing his long time girlfriend and having to move out of her house.

Of course this could have been any predator.

Cheewawa... right behind the school is what I've been saying.

paris-paris - I like your nursing home theory!!! Since I think WK is THE guy, it sure makes sense to me. I'm wondering if a visitor has to sign in at the NH...and if they do, hope you have notified LE of the info.

I'm not good with maps. I wonder if there is a way to go from the NH to the street Somer might have ended up on if she went through the yard at Gano? Just a thought!

This is the same reporter that was on Today Show this morning. Much of this interview was the same, but some add'l information I didn't see from earlier.

Diena keeps thinking it's a nightmare and Somer's going to come walking in. Doesn't understand the senselessness of it. Why does he (killer) get to live nearly 3 weeks after it and her baby is thrown in trash?

Re: walking to school together DT says: She told them all 3 to always stay together. It was rare for Somer to break away from them. Paraphrase here: If it had ever happened before, they didn't tell mom.

DT was unable to view Somer's body. Investigators said it would be too traumatic to see the body.

Showed funeral procession with balloons. Sheriff has rec'd 3300 leads. DT made broken glass statement about missing huge piece that is the monster that did this.

Comments about Somer being very friendly...trusting...She always ran out to pet every animal and DT would tell her you don't know these people and it would hurt mommy PARAPHRASING if something would happen to you and you didn't come back. She doesn't let her other kids walk to school now...NEVER again. Somer was 1 min older than Samuel. They used to race in the backyard pool. Somer always reminded Sam she was a minute older than him.

Diena understands acutely the worlds attention will fade. Believes speaking out no matter how painful can keep it from happening to another parent. Always tell your children you love them. Don't ever think you're too busy for your children.

Isn't this contrary to what we've heard? And babysitter said mom did know Somer wouldn't stay with siblings thus the contact names and numbers for Somer's friends so they could be called if somer didn't come home on time??

This case is making me insane. Nothing, nothing is consistent. If LE wants help from the public, it would help if the facts weren't ever changing.

The only fact that has remained consistent is that Somer disappeared on 10/19 and was found dead on 10/21.

Justice needs to be served for Somer.

I agree - this case is crazy making! I have to wonder if it was Somer who didn't like the babysitter so she stayed away as long as possible? I think the only person to talk about Somer jumping ahead on a consistent basis is the babysitter? Also, I've heard many times that Somer loved animals, cats and dogs etc. So hearing about her petting animals came as no surprise. just some thoughts that help the insane become a little more sane.

But , seems like its getting to be a habit to just come on air and talk to MEDIA to get a donation site advertised or promoted...

Sorry, I thought I was more specific a page ago.

Mary (Mom) owned the house on Oakridge. It has gone into foreclosure. David (her son and WLK's brother) lives at the nursing home behind Somer's school. David's wife (or possibly exwife) Denise lives in the home on Harbor (where WLK was said to be living and arrested there).

2 things bother me. WLK living with his brother's (possible) ex-wife. And his brother David living at that nursing home. WLK may have visited him the day Somer went missing. The whole "K" family bothers me.[/QUOTE



I posted this about WLK going by the park and school way back when first looking at rso's when Somer went missing.. I am sure most here will remember..

I feel a certain person took our information and made a big hoopda doo about it in the FA thread..

This person didn't like our thread .. we had already hashed the family or WLK and found the houses etc.. and him connected to Debbie who lived on gano ave. before she died and him living there as per: his profile on florida offenders register...

Seems like we figured WLK was under a lot of stress with his family passing away one after the other and homes being sold and then his dear beloved Debbie dying... on the 12th of Oct?? I think that is right.. funeral on the 15th??

I know if kyle talked to Somer that day but she went on her merry way then WLK could certainly of been in the area...

I am sure he favored that park and school.. knew about the house burned also..

and these 2 are kyle and WLK and they are on my list as top 2..

as they are on most here ...

I live in a different time zone than many of you, so by the time I finally get the chance to log in and post comments, most of you have already gone to bed!

MommaD - do you suppose this attorney may have been hired by the family to protect Diena's and her kids' interests? I don't know anything about trust account laws, or foundations and how they have to be operated, but I'm sure it's tricky in terms of how the money is disbursed, to whom it's disbursed, etc., in order to avoid getting a knock on the door from the IRS or some other governing agency (and after everything Diena's been through, that's the last thing she needs). Even though the money has been donated, it might still be regarded as income by the IRS, and taxes might have to be paid on it. Perhaps this attorney has been hired to help Diena with all the legal ins and outs regarding how to access it and how it can legally be spent in the care of her children. I heard she has quit her job, so all the money donated is what this family will be living on, until Diena is able to return to work at some point in the future.
FWIW - I looked up the attorney's peer review ratings, and he gets high marks in terms of his ethics.
After everything this family has been through, I truly hope he's there to help, and won't take advantage of the situation.

Nevertheless, I totally agree with you about justice for the victims. I think LE being so tight-lipped about certain info has hindered this case, not helped. Like waiting so long - 3 weeks - to release images of Somer's book bag and lunch box. Not to mention all the misinformation about it to begin with! Cases go cold for a reason. I truly hope this one doesn't. I truly hope LE haven't made mistakes in their investigation and dissemination of information that could jeopardize solving this crime.

seems like we have had now what 2 or 3 people come to "get us turned in the right direction" .. I don't buy it .. if they would of stayed around and helped then ok.. By leaving cryptic information some of it already hashed ,,., I feel they were on a mission to get us off the track... Could they know something of importance of the killer ?? I am sure they could.. Are they protecting the killer??? I am sure they are..

Are they killer ..???? who knows.. I don't but I know to look out for this type of situations ... shame on them if this is true to protect the killer in anyway.. I hope they suffer along with the killer when brought to justice..

paris-paris - I see what you are getting at. If WK went to visit his brother at the nursing home - he would be near the school with access to children. Wouldn't that be easy to find though, cause doesn't one have to sign in to see a person at a nursing home? Maybe LE should check. Good thinking!!!

eyes4crime... this was posted long time ago about WLK.. that is why LE we noticed after us here at ws finding out WLK had registered address all the way to end of gano ave. past Somer's turn .. must of found him missing from that address since Debbie his lady friend he was living with at that address had died early in oct... so LE finally caught up with him.. at green springs area..

Since it's the middle of the night, I'm feeling particularly brave about posting what I'm about to say.
I think one of the reasons the facts keep changing (aside from media being in too big a hurry to get their "scoop" to bother to double-check or ask follow-up questions) is possibly (let me stress here possibly) because those closest to this case haven't been as forthcoming with information as they could have been or could be.
I've acted as an advocate for crime victims (child abuse cases, domestic violence cases, and assault cases), and there have been numerous occasions when the victims have withheld vital information that could have secured a conviction, because in providing that information, the victims would have implicated themselves in other crimes. In other words, in order to protect themselves from possible criminal charges, these victims chose to keep vital information secret from the investigating officers and the prosecuting attorneys. In essence, they sabotaged their own cases.

I'm not accusing anyone in this case of doing what I just described above. I'm merely suggesting that it's possible that there might be certain aspects of their private lives they might not want LE to know about (or the rest of the world, for that matter, given the media attention this case has garnered).

I have stood in court rooms and watched violent criminals who could have received life sentences get to make plea bargains, because their victims had made poor choices prior to being victimized. It's a tough row to hoe, as they say.

No one wants their dirty laundry aired, especially when the entire world is looking in!

I will say this - from the very beginning of this case, based on my own experience, I felt (and still feel) there were times when the wagons were circling.

I hope I have not offended anyone, most of all those who are grieving.

I heard him say also that he wanted to pass the bus. I agree that he is probably some kind of hearing impaired. He seems to be hearing a lot, but his speech is exactly that of people that I know that are hearing impaired. He may have lost some hearing due to an illness as a child.

I think it would be pretty tough for a hearing impaired person to kidnap someone in a situation like Somer.

I like the WLK person as a suspect, but I also like someone at the construction site.

I have asked the question before, but why are some guys charged as a sex offender for having a sexual relationship with an underage girl and some not?

The brother of the contractor is an SO, but apparently it is for a relationship when he was 19 and she 15.

I know that all 19 year olds are not charged as SO's for having sex with a minor. So what is the difference why some are and some aren't?

I'm not saying he did it, I'm just wondering why he was charged at 19 as an SO. I'm just wondering if there is more to his story when he was 19.

I still think it is incredibly weird that Kyle did not say which way Somer went after she talked to him. It makes no sense at all. You would think after having a conversation, they would say goodbye. Then what.......?

human.. If I remember right the brother So had different charges than what is being said. it is way back in the treads .. couldn't even come close to telling you what one. heck it could be deleted as far as I know ..

I don't know why some get charged and some don't.. some marry them .. lol rc and mc.. some drop charges if girl won't testify I do know charges get dropped.. maybe I don't understand your question either but I am trying.. I do not know all the laws in each state to answer that.. judges make the charges final... I don't know how the judges come to their final charges but seems like he puts his finger in the air and makes a circle and where ever it lands is the charge.. so many of them get just a probation . that I am sure comes back to bite the judge or a different one in another state..


And for KYLE not saying which way Somer went or who with etc.. maybe LE told him not to say anything just like all the other witnesses in this case and others..

just my thoughts.. as I see them.. I could be wrong ... It is just the way I am understanding things..
