I pulled up court records for AKT, and apparently he's had a lead foot for awhile. Speeding citation dating back to 7/13/06.
Careless driving 12/15/06
Speeding 4/03/07
Speeding 1/08/09
Driving vehicle in unsafe condition 11/02/09
Following too closely 11/09/09

Then there are the aggravated battery charges from this past spring.

I couldn't find the record for the speeding citation on 10/19/09 (?) that was posted above. It's not listed in the court records.

wow 2 in one week, and 3 in one month. definitely an increase in erratic driving. wonder what's going on with him.
the 10/18 is listed in the clay county daily bulletin report.

Wasn't that Ted Bundy? I seem to remember that...and I think it was just a fluke (just like they're saying about checking the trash collections) on a cop's part to check that.

Its the new program that neighborhood parents are starting in the wake of Somer's murder to try to keep neighborhood children safe:

It's just kind of interesting that this 21 yr old guy would be so involved. Unless he DOES live with his mom and half-sister and the half-sister is younger, closer to Somer's age. Then that would make a little more sense.

Re the 2nd degree felony charges from the aggravated battery back in the spring. Looks like he plead down to a 1st degree misdemeanor assault, unless those two charges are unrelated. I'll look closer to see if they're 2 different incidents.

It's there. Above him and below him were 2 Juveniles.

Lower is someone with an accident in a parking lot. Maybe near a dumpster.

Yea, Share, I found the speeding ticket on the daily bulletin, dated 10/19/2009. But for some odd reason, there's no court record of that incident. I'm wondering why the report hasn't been filed, when all the others have been?

Lovely, my kid has autism. I guess all the nuts want to work with special kids.

Do you think he knows SP??? Since SP works with special kids too.

I do think a lot of people, if not most, who work with special needs kids do it because they want to help -if that's any comfort. And this kid may not be a freak. He has written about having had a difficult childhood, and it can't be easy coming out of the closet if you don't have a supportive family. He could just be a compassionate kid who thinks he can help kids who are having issues since he had issues of his own (a lot of people who go into psych and social services do so for this type of reason, and they have their own history).

I did consider the whole SP thing, but this kid seems pretty medical model when you look at his past and present workplace - he doesn't list any esoteric ideas or practices on any of his profiles. SP, on the other hand, is definitely alternative model of treatment. I don't know how often those two really intersect (medical and alternative models). Frequently people seem to go one way or the other.

Just for my own process - I can't add the metaphysical leads into the mix. It's too nebulous for me to work with, but if its helpful to someone else that's great. But for me it makes things too confusing. I'm pretty concrete.

But in general, I'm open to the idea that someone with LE could be a perp in this or any other case. You would hope not, but its happened before.

well it's either because someone is trying to keep his name out of any events surrounding 10/19 OR
the officer who wrote the tickets that night (he wrote a lot at the same location minutes apart, probably running radar) hasn't turned his tickets into the court yet.

In MD the officers turn their tickets in in batches to the court, not sure how they do it in FL. Maybe the later officers were just more diligent.

it would be interesting to see if any of the officers other tickets written that night show up in the court record. if not, we know he just hasn't turned them in yet.

It wouldn't have gone to court yet I don't think. Aren't court dates for traffic about 4 - 6 weeks out? And you can get them dismissed before court too...

i think sorrell meant record of the court receiving the ticket. not necessarily record of the adjudication.

I think they know he is in another state. TX, I think.
How they 'know' this I am not sure. He is not listed on the absconded list anymore as far as I know.
