if it was same pics from amw then it was sketches. look like pics tho cause of color.. so weird we can't find either on the www.. I just don't get it..

both can't be made special for summer.. I wouldn't think..

I guess they could have been sketches...but looked like the real thing to me. It appeared to be 2 seperate pics side by side.

These pics/sketches should be out front and center for everyone to see, IMO.

“We got 79 additional tips about the blue Nissan after we already said we were not looking for it,” he said.
Other false alarms included a connection to a sex offender arrested in Georgia and suspicions generated by mistakes in a police report.

In the Clay County case, a mistake on a police report set off one wave of suspicion.
The day Somer disappeared, a deputy who was among those who responded to the missing girl’s home was called away to an unrelated armed robbery. He arrived at the second scene and caught four suspects, Beseler said. When the officer wrote the report, he forgot to change the address on the call, resulting in armed robbery arrests mistakenly tied to the Thompson home.

The nature of the case has also meant attention has been focused on sex offenders. One of those men, who worked on a renovation crew months earlier at a house near where Somer was last seen as she walked home, has been interviewed. Another, whose name was on the initial police report after a woman thought she spotted him near Orange Park, was in Texas. When he discovered he had incorrectly been mentioned in the case, he nervously went to authorities there to say he was not near Florida.

I am not quite buying that one either. IIRC he was listed as absconded & approx. 2 or 3 days later registered in Texas. Wonder when he left for Texas? Hopefully they are trying to quietly build a case against him, because otherwise...I am really afraid they don't have anything. Not trying to blame LE, stranger abductions are just so hard to solve is all. :banghead:

My beef for the day is if LE is frustrated that people are sending them on wild goose chases due to errors on the police report, well.... what can you expect. Just give us some proper info. We don't like running down false leads either.

DT said on today show that Somer fought back. wonder if this is a fact or fiction???? So did LE tell DT she had dna under nails and just need to match it up???

So is it is FACT Somer fought back???

ETA: I don't know why I keep double quoting .. grrrrr I tried to delete some of wrong quote but didn't get it all .
I am sorry Dee for messing this up so bad..

did[/B] fight back, especially since they seem to be suggesting this was the work of a sexual predator. I wonder if there are any stats about child predators drugging victims? I am not familiar with any cases. I'll see if I can find if there are any studies.

If certain ppl really aren't suspects then they have cleared some people. Correct?? That is the only thing it could mean. Everyone is a suspect until cleared imo. Whether or not a person is a probable, or even possible suspect doesn't really matter until they've been cleared.
Maybe the sheriff needs to update us on who besides himself he has cleared!!

OK...

Now if this is true about a woman reporting that she thought she saw CWG in the area - while he was really in Texas - I want to know who that woman was.

What are her motives? How does she know CWG? Or does she even know him at all?

Someone mentioned - like a million posts ago - that someone could have looked up CWG's info and gave it to authorities to throw them off track or pin blame elsewhere. What that person didn't know was that CWG was not around any longer, but in Texas.

I thought that idea was pretty far out back then - but now - who knows?

Almost sounds plausible.

Who is this woman?

Also said the FBI said the perp has done this before and will probably do it again.
*respectfully snipped*

You know this, along with this :

Referring to earlier unsolved cases in Northeast Florida, "America's Most Wanted" host, John Walsh theorized on "Good Morning America," that Somer's murder is the work of a pedophile serial killer emerging from a dormant period, possibly having killed 4 Jacksonville area children. The 20-year-old cases remain open.

Makes me wonder if there is something they found in the crime scene or autopsy that shows a similar pattern or "signature" that could link Somer's case with these other unsolved murders.

According to FBI profiler John Douglas, a signature "is a ritual, something the subject does intentionally for emotional satisfaction -- something that isn't necessary to perpetuate the crime” Some serial killers pose their victims in a certain way or leave them in a certain place after killing them. Another signature might be a method of torture or mutilation. It's what the killer does to fulfill his fantasies, and it can tell investigators a lot about his personality.
Investigators also look at the MO, or modus operandi, of the crime. The MO reflects what the killer had to do to commit the crime. This includes everything from luring and restraining his victim to the way that he actually murders her. A serial killer's MO can change over time. Essentially, he learns from past mistakes and improves with time.

http://people.howstuffworks.com/serial-killer5.htm

Does anyone know the specific 4 cases John Walsh was referring to?
Maybe going back and re-sleuthing these cases can give us some additional clues...
I know there is the chance these cases are totally unrelated. But I really wonder what info LE and the FBI has that keeps these kinds of statements coming up...Of course they are keeping everything so close to the vest including the COD so it's hard to tell...

Just something I keep thinking about..
I am sure there have been sleuthers already checking out this angle in previous threads..

could it be the other person on mpr ??? wasn't she found to be linked to cwg some how??? so is she a little upset over losing a lover or is she suspectful he did this??? I don't know if I would take cwg word for it. he had plenty of time to high tail it to texas... geezzzz..

from all reports from LE sounds like all these rso and so 's are angels and to take their word for fact... grrrrrrrrrr.... :banghead:

Yes, as a matter of fact I did - he drives a tan convertible with leather seats... he shouldn't be too hard to track down. Maybe shadowizar who lives in the area can ride his bike this weekend & scope out Briarwood for a tan convertible.

I don't have a bike but in addition to taking some pictures requested by others, I will be checking the neighborhood for that vehicle this weekend.

OMG - after everything she has been through - and is STILL going through!!!

Has anyone else noticed how thin mom is in recent videos/pics? Her double chin is gone and she's beginning to look gaunt.

She looks as if she hasn't been eating (I know I wouldn't be able to!) and as if she's lost weight. She's stated that she's not able to sleep.

We've all made mistakes as parents. We've all made mistakes as human beings (those that don't even have children!).

It makes me sad and angry that people could send her hate mail and blame her for what happened.

IDK what's up with some people. Diena is already blaming herself for what happened. Until there is evidence implicating her directly in the murder of her daughter, the least folks could do is show a little compassion!

I'll admit, some of her choices/decisions and things she has said/done, have made me sit up and say "Huh?!" But I don't know her. And I would never want to walk half a block in her shoes, let alone a mile.

People who send hate mail to a grieving mother are heartless.

We're all entitled to our opinions. We're not necessarily entitled to express them.
The police have not said she was a suspect and do not act like it.I think it is obnoxious. They are very ill people. It's very sad.

Never heard or read the word cleared.... I don't know what they mean by not a suspect... but want everyone to leave certain information alone cause they checked it out and so and so is not suspect..

I just don't get what LE is doing..

Hey, are we allowed to link to a news article? I found a single man who lives in OP, has been charged, out on bail, and a crime technician?

Links to news articles are fine.
