I have not heard of a real link between CWG and anyone on the report. I could have missed it though.

I don't necessarily take CWG's word for it - but I would hope LE could figure it out.

If he went to LE first - instead of them coming to him - I wonder how he even found out about it.

He would have had to be pretty interested in the case to know his name was involved right away. Doubt that was it. (Innocently anyway)

Someone gave him a heads up?

Or he knew he'd be implicated and just went preemptively? I don't think so.

I kinda feel like if he was really involved he'd have stayed away from LE - not gone to them.

This is just too wierd.

I need to know more. UUGGHH

If certain ppl really aren't suspects then they have cleared some people. Correct?? That is the only thing it could mean. Everyone is a suspect until cleared imo. Whether or not a person is a probable, or even possible suspect doesn't really matter until they've been cleared.
Maybe the sheriff needs to update us on who besides himself he has cleared!!

Bottom line, they have f up the case. The police report isn't valid. I don't believe anything in it. I don't believe DT at all. I for one think she's covering up for someone. I don't even believe the time line. For all we know she could have started looking for her at 5. I wonder if there is even a 911 tape for the police. I doubt there is. She went about her usual business and picked up her other son which doesn't make sense if your child is missing. I wonder what time AT normally gets out of after school activity. I have to do some investigating. If that's the normal time, then she's lying. We know she wants to keep ST out even though he had rights. This woman is hiding something and it isn't pretty.

http://jacksonville.com/news/metro/...mer_thompson_case_rumors_become_a_big_problem

From the article:
But the calls didn’t stop and Beseler worries the confusion could lead to something being missed.
“Potentially someone could have real information and say, 'Oh, they are not looking for a black van; they are looking for a blue Nissan,’ ” he said.

I could understand this being a problem if they've released info to be on the lookout for, but they haven't other than: the nervous, suspicious, hair growing, hair shaving, drinking more, drinking less, may have cuts on their face and arms, ditching religion, or becoming more interested in religion, hiding the car away person out there.
And NOW 3 weeks later we are to look out for a backpack and lunchbox that we've had 3 other descriptions of since the onset of this case.

From the article:
In the Oct. 26 arrest, the man — whose crimes in Florida were in Hillsborough County — was charged with attempting to entice a child. Beseler said the man is not a suspect in the Somer case.

when this guy was arrested they didn't come right out and say he wasn't a suspect, did they? I thought they said something to the effect that it was unlikely, but they were going to be looking at him. again if this is the case, let the public know.

Ugh!! i understand they don't want to tip their hand but they could certainly let us know who they cleared once someone came under their radar.

Cheewawa,
I guess your visions aren't working today! I said I would be back didn't I? I am trying to juggle working and taking classes which does not leave a whole lot of time for posting so please bear with me. I did speak with Somer again, keep in mind you can't interrogate someone who has passed, you can ask questions but if they don't want to answer they go on to something else and you just have to go with the flow.
In answer to all the pictures you have had me look at, the answer is no, I don't believe it's him. We are looking for a big kid-boy/man kind of person. i am compelled to say that if he DID play football he would have been the quarterback. I'm not sure why I'm supposed to say that, but I've learned not to question.
She was lured to his home to look at puppies, they are in his garage with something that looks like a babygate around them with the mother who's name I believe is Frito. She looks like a boxer and I am told the father is Sampson.
Once inside the garage he tried to get sexual with her and she got VERY loud. Afraid she would attract the neighbors attention he then choked her, backed his car up to the garage, wrapped her in a plaid beach blanket and placed her in his trunk. He later hid something, the blanket I think, in the attic at the bottom of a box of sports supplies.
She said something about the garbage bin behind the "mall". I don't know if that's where he put her or her belongings. She also said the word "canal" but did not elaborate further on that.
I asked her to show me something that would prove to her mother that it was really her and she opened her hand and in her palm was a very small turtle. I don't know if they had turtles, or if she wanted a turtle but that is what was shown.
I did ask for a name, first I thought she said Keith which I discounted because that is the name of my best friends deceased husband who likes to come and mess with me when I meditate, so I asked again and she said Kevin. So it's either Keith (as in AKT) or Kevin. I could not get a last name.
I read the story of AKT andwhile I do not believe it's him I do believe this young man was trying to be a copycat and got in over his head.
Once again thanks fir your time.

This post is going to be a little more difficult to look into. The mall is very close to us, however there may be dozens of dumpsters located there. Many of the shops likely have their own personal dumpsters. Furthermore, most commercial dumpsters are picked up by the dumpster company so I doubt they're on the same schedule as normal trash pickup and/or they'd go to the same landfill.

No idea what canal would be in the area. It's a very odd choice of a word from a 7 year old. We have lots of drainage ditches, retention ponds and the river a few miles away but no canals. I'll check with my kids and their friends to see if this may be a slang term used for a location in the area.

I will be looking for a yellow convertible with tan seats all weekend. The home has a garage, dogs with puppies, and should be located on briarwood or the surrounding streets correct?

If I do find the vehicle I will not post pictures of people, information including addresses, or license plates as this is just speculation and I don't wish to drag someone innocent through the mud.

The police have not said she was a suspect and do not act like it.I think it is obnoxious. They are very ill people. It's very sad.

They haven't said she is clear either, and I think cleared would be an easier statement for LE to make than suspect.

Regardless, I think it is poor for people to get involved by sending hate mail. Very low.

I am not quite buying that one either. IIRC he was listed as absconded & approx. 2 or 3 days later registered in Texas. Wonder when he left for Texas? Hopefully they are trying to quietly build a case against him, because otherwise...I am really afraid they don't have anything. Not trying to blame LE, stranger abductions are just so hard to solve is all. :banghead:

My beef for the day is if LE is frustrated that people are sending them on wild goose chases due to errors on the police report, well.... what can you expect. Just give us some proper info. We don't like running down false leads either.

AMEN Dee, AMEN!!!!!!

They've got no one to blame but themselves for the wild goose chases! A little bit of "fact" goes a long way.

did[/b] fight back, especially since they seem to be suggesting this was the work of a sexual predator. I wonder if there are any stats about child predators drugging victims? I am not familiar with any cases. I'll see if I can find if there are any studies.
They think it was a sexual predator? That's done this before?are they saying if he/she is older?I really would have to know if and who they have as possible other victims of this killer.

As far as sleuthing the "puppies"
Maybe take a look at craigslist, under pets. Lots of people post when they have puppies that need homes...Just a thought...

What I don't get is why would LE leave Somer's home for a robbery. A little 7 yr old child is missing ... That was not important?? They couldn't call in someone else??

I hadn't heard this before.. LE leaving to take another call during the interview for Somer... wth...

Am I wrong here for stating this?? Is LE at fault here?? or am I??

I see a 7 yr old missing very important .. hmmmm

Did they say where they think she died yet?

I think what may have happened is when the call went out to all LE about Somer missing (this is probably after DT flagged down the first officer and he went to interview people at house and check that she wasnt' there)
Probably many many officers in the area responded to look for Somer.
Then another call goes out about a robbery attempt or in progress and one of the officers who came to look for Somer responded to that call. Most likely because there were many looking for Somer already, maybe all LE in the area initially responded to look for Somer and another call came in, so someone had to respond???
i don't know. I did not interpret what was said to mean the officer taking the report at Somer's house just abandoned Somer's case to go check out the robbery. I think if we look at the incident occurrence it will probably list the officer who arrested the robbery people and see if it matches the officer taking the report at Somer's house.

Sorry this is so windy. I was kinda thinking this through as I typed.

Can a local tell me whether the small white bus I've seen in some of the street view are public transportation and whether the drivers wear any kind of uniform (shirt).

Just wondering if a driver would have offered Somer a ride. (Even though against rules ... nobody would notice someone getting on a bus is what I'm thinking.)
