Yikes, I scared everyone away. Well , I am wondering if my way of thinking is completely wrong regarding this case. I am truly wondering if the lunch between DT and SP even took place and if in fact he stayed at the house as the after school greeter. I also wonder if the scrap took place between Somer, school mate and subsequently Somer and sis.

I am wondering if Somer just wondered off that day as she did many a time , doing her thing. Therefore I am going with the idea that the above statements were part of a story to cover up the fact that no one was home that day. No one panicked until 4pm arrived and no Somer.......It would be interesting to know how long a period of time Somer would go off on her own.

I would not want to be in DT's shoes as the mental anguish, a mothers worst nightmare happened.

I am not here to be a critic of DT and her child rearing and myself would most likely scramble to fill in the blanks.

I know this will be an unpopular post, but it is my hunch the killer is a minor. Obviously big enough to carry her little body to a dumpster. Or possibly the killer is old enough to drive.

Remember the movie "The Good Son"? Remember who killed little Maddie Clifton? Remember who killed Elizabeth Olten? It is possible... the kid might have not intended to kill her, just sexually assault her. But then things went terribly wrong.

I have thought about that also. Somer may have been more likely to fend for herself with someone younger, as she had older brothers and sisters. An adult male, I think, would have been more likely to knock her unconscious if she was struggling or subdue her in a different way than engage in hand-to-hand combat, more like a teenager would tend to do.

They would be truly stupid to lie about that. Family members would be the lst to be investigated & they would be checking phone records as well as getting copies of the text messages. SP given his job description should be familiar with communications & storage & why would he part-take? The other kids are witnesses as to him being there after school. Mom no doubt gave a reason for leaving work early. I believe this part of the story is correct. If not...a whole can of worms opens as to why lie?

There probably are some statistics reported about mothers of multiple marriages and/or multiple boyfriends that they bring around their children, that those children are probably more likely to be molested. Just my thought. I mean, really, there are some good guys out there, but to have multiple men around when you have that many children, I would say most men would be there for one thing, not necessarily to be a parent to those children. And if you have girls, hey, they might think that is an added bonus. I think there are men who seek these women out, whether to abuse the woman and/or the children, physically, sexually, emotionally. I grew up with a mom who had multiple husbands. I left home when I was 17. My mother is a great woman, very attractive, but she attracted the cons. And between marriages, there were a multitude of suitors. So I can say, from experience, that is never a good situation to put your children in. If you have to have that many people in your life, keep your children out of it. I mean, heck, they are only little for a short while...and if you want to keep seeking men, quit having children. I mean, there are exceptions to these rules...but I would say they are rare.

Nicely laid out theory Kamille! A couple thoughts - If a mom with multiple marriages is more likely to have her child murdered by a sexual predator, then that needs to be researched right now!!

Another fertile area for research: moms who fail to receive child support - are their children more likely to be murdered by sexual predators?

Regarding sadnpod - you use information from this person to make your argument that the children were neglected and therefore, more prone to be murdered. sadnpod gave us information that dad T. was disabled for life when, in fact, he told us on national TV that he was injured in a car accident and it was temporary. Quite a discrepancy between sadnpod and Dad T's. version of an injury. Wonder if the other proclamations by sadnpod are as one-sided and misinformed as this one...looks to me like there is an agenda on sadnpod's part!!! You're right - it isn't in the public's job description to support mom or dad. However, if someone wants to do a fund raiser and wishes the proceeds to go to mom T, that's where it should go - don't you think? Who are we to interfere with that decision? mho

And what agenda would that be? ST is disabled from his mililtary service which can takes yrs to get. SS had jusst approved his disability and DT should have received her back compensation for the kids right after somers death. This info was from him to me and several of DT's family members when one called him a deatbeat dad in front of everyone there, including the children. Im not arguing that he has been a great dad. Im just telling you all what has been told to me or around me.. and I have made this clear everytime. He was injured in a car wreck, i dont know exact date.. i think a couple months before somers disappearance...the leg injury is temporary.... the disability is not. I believe IMO that there is no reason for him to be having fund raisers....for what exactly? It began with getting him to fl for the funeral.... that is over..
I have only tried to inform you of what i have been told, and especially about the soot comment. If the info I have been giving is no longer wanted, I can go back to lurking and keep my opinions and info to myself.

Oh, wow. Coinky-dink? That's bizarre. So both PC and SP are from the same small town, which happens to be the same small town where Crystal Sheffield lives, as does her mother and other relatives, and to top that off, that one of PC or SP's ex's had a lawsuit with someone with the same last name as Lindsey Croslin's nee. Did I sum that up correctly?

NOW, that is what I call bizzare!!! I am going to be thinking about that all afternoon. :waitasec: Food for thought, SP set up the fund immediately after Somer disappeared. There are so many co-incidences in such a tiny town, it should be at least looked into. :cop:

If we saw the same interview it was Prime News...I just remember him saying he wanted to bring the children back to NC "where they will be safe". I remember distinctly thinking, he can't support them now...how will he support them then?

there are a lot of people who are in favor of unending fundraisers so the mother can stay home with her children to keep them safe, and have food on the table, and a roof over their head, and counseling, and entertainment etc etc.

why wouldn't this hold true if the father had them. they are still the same children who lost a sibling, and he is the other parent who lost a child.

I remember this as well.. it is video even and out of his mouth and in some article or video of his sister as well.. ST was asked out right about that ... he stumbled and hawed but he finally answered.. reporter gave him time to think and didn't move on. he had to answer or go to other topic himself..

He wasnt suppose to put any pressure on his leg, he did during all of this.. his donated van was not handicapped vehicle, and he had to get in and out himself... he was recently given crutches adn can start therapy soon... This again is what I have been told by ST. I dont see the revelance of what this has to do wiht somers murder...I think its pretty clear he is not a POI. He was in front of me when this happened in nc.

I was told the benefit on sunday was for community awareness and only found out yesterday that it was for him. I will not be attending.
