Bumping my own post, snipped by me, how much of a loser can you be to bump and snip your own post :(

Does anyone have the answer to the question I bolded??

Quote:
Can anyone tell me the procedure once someone is arrested for failing to notify an address change as an RSO.

If we can dig up the criminal codes for the state of FL, it might give some info on penalties for failure to notify change of address of RSOs. It's possible that jail time would be one of the penalties (especially if RSO was repeat offender with failure to notify), just don't know what the length of time would be.

Since this thread is so quiet tonight, I might just take the time to look into Florida's statutes regarding RSOs.

Hello- I've been following the case closely here and there and hope I can contribute.
But first, can anyone verify whether or not AC lived with the family at the time?

I have believed early on that the answer lies in the first statements released. Before any time to back track and fill.

The blackout from the clip disturbs me. Among a host of other things.

hmmmm, now I have tried to clartify this . In one interview DT states he was staying with relatives and she didn't know how he was doing as she had not talked to him! So....I still want to explore this, there is a contradiction . I must take the time and watch the video's pre finding Somer and Post. Thx

Florida statues regarding sexual offenders requirement to register address:

(b) A sexual offender who vacates a permanent residence and fails to establish or maintain another permanent or temporary residence shall, within 48 hours after vacating the permanent residence, report in person to the sheriff's office of the county in which he or she is located. The sexual offender shall specify the date upon which he or she intends to or did vacate such residence. The sexual offender must provide or update all of the registration information required under paragraph (2)(b). The sexual offender must provide an address for the residence or other location that he or she is or will be occupying during the time in which he or she fails to establish or maintain a permanent or temporary residence.

(c) A sexual offender who remains at a permanent residence after reporting his or her intent to vacate such residence shall, within 48 hours after the date upon which the offender indicated he or she would or did vacate such residence, report in person to the agency to which he or she reported pursuant to paragraph (b) for the purpose of reporting his or her address at such residence. When the sheriff receives the report, the sheriff shall promptly convey the information to the department. An offender who makes a report as required under paragraph (b) but fails to make a report as required under this paragraph commits a felony of the second degree, punishable as provided in s. 775.082, s. 775.083, or s. 775.084.

And then there's this:
(5) This section does not apply to a sexual offender who is also a sexual predator, as defined in s. 775.21. A sexual predator must register as required under s. 775.21.

Is WLK a predator, or an offender?

Second question- does anyone besides me think that the bookbag and lunch box were found early on?

Third questions-Could the problem in identification at beginning be because it wasn't through DT that the items were first mentioned. But, rather through the children telling their story including her hitting her brother with said backpack. And the reason the lunch box was so late in coming out, because it too, was through perhaps a teacher or someone else. Casually mentioned by LE, then, maybe something like OK I DO recall her missing a lunch box now that you mention it.

Just my line of thought right now

Okay it is coming back to me. On the same day Somer was found however not ID. Early that day, BEFORE a body had been found, there was a Presser with DT & Besseler. (Wed) DT was holding up Somer's pic. A reporter asked her how her son was doing and she replied she did not know as she had NOT talked to him as he was staying with relatives. However, initially during the Presser when asked, she said he lived with them. I don't think he does.

I don't think LE would have focused so much time and attention on drawings, etc if they already had the lunchbox and bookbag. That's a lot of time to create a red herring. To what purpose?

I will NEVER understand why they couldn't come up with which bag/backpack she took that day in a more timely manner. I can tell you that even if, as in DT's case, my child had gone to school after I left for work, if my child later came up missing I would find out which of her bags was gone within about 0.5 seconds of coming home so that I could give an accurate description to the police. I don't care how many bags she had, I'd be able to see which one was missing and I would consider it to be important information to get right. I would have already drilled my other children if I needed their help putting it together.

And I'd like to think that I would know what she was carrying to school because I'd helped her pack her homework into it the night before - right before I packed her lunch into her lunchpail...

OK, sorry if I am bombarding you all but I have been waitng to get my approval for a few hours so I had a number of areas I wanted to explore.

Let's wonder together how it would be that AC was not questioned on the MPR?
He would have travelled there from the opposite direction; I would have thought things
like "when did you leave school, what path did you take, did you see your other siblings??
Just some basic questions.

My impression of that presser was that he wasn't staying with her after the abduction. I got the impression that maybe none of the kids were.

DT states she did not know what back pack she took that day because apparently she had many and DT left for work prior to the Kids going to school. However she does remember that Somer felt sick that day and she did her hair. Oh wow . what time does school start ? what time does DT start work? Apparently a friend drives he kids to school in the am.

But, it doesn't make sense almost three weeks in to finally give a FINAL description that you've settled on this late. Because it WOULD either be long gone or just an alert to get rid of them. The only way it made sense to me is as a lure. "We are looking for them", when in fact they had them all along. It's the oldest detective trick in the book. Besides, the latest one couldn't be found online or anywhere as an identical one, so they hired artist to draw from the description. No just one, but BOTH of them??

I am willing to give ST a pass on the lunch box, book bag thing.

My father died when he was very elderly, and we knew he was going to die for about a week.

I taught in a school and we had been making Christmas ornaments with the students. It involved their pictures.

I came back to work and thought I was fine. I went to glue their pictures on the ornaments.

When I looked at them, I did not know who the children were-the children I had since September!

DT must have been in total shock, and I'm sure could not remember a thing about anything!

I think that it is beyond horrible that LE did not identify the pics of the book bag and the lunchbox for so long after it happened.

I hope it's because they really know who did this and are just awaiting more evidence.

Otherwise, their lack of information for the public to help is unconscionable.

There are so may things that they could ask for public help and they haven't. Makes no sense to me at all!

Even with 2cents info that she had gone to a swingset past the Gano house. We have never heard that except from her.

What is this lack of info all about?

WLK - sexual predator.

Florida's statues regarding sexual predators:

(10) PENALTIES.--

Penalties/Fines:

775.082 Penalties
(1) A person who has been convicted of an offense other than a capital felony may be sentenced to pay a fine in addition to any punishment described in s. 775.082

(d) For a felony of the third degree, by a term of imprisonment not exceeding 5 years.

775.083 Fines.--
(c) $5,000, when the conviction is of a felony of the third degree.

There it is.
I hope I have earned my keep now!

Okay cath!!! Great line of thought! Can someone go back in the thread and pull up those clinic times? They will help to establish a timeline regarding before and after school, and work schedules.
