Ok, I've been gone for a couple of weeks and I have surrendered all hope on reading all the posts. I thought I saw something about chinese food containers- can anyone tell me what that is about?

Oh and to all the sleuths members, I appreciate all your work and time you spend on this and all the other cases you won't let die.

RE: Gano Street House

They have removed a white container from the house and taken it directly to the patrol car. The container looked like a cooler, though more of an official type container (not a cooler we would use).

They have removed other items from the house in paper bags. They continue to search the dumpster outside. Retaining items such as Chinese carry out containers.

Apparently they have had several workers inside this house working on it and renovating it.

They have also removed evidence from the Men's restroom in the park that is right across the street.

This is the restroom that is across the street which ironically is where police had a command post set up.

In case this hasn't been answered yet:
Amongst other things, LE took some chinese food containers from the construction dumpster at 1080 Gano Ave.
There were posts speculating why the containers were taken; dna, stomach content etc.

Someone feel free to jump in here if I've goofed this up.

Hey Share - if you're still on, I have a question - do you know for certain if the take-out food containers were removed from the dumpster? IOW - was it reported by media that those items were collected from the dumpster - not from the interior of the house?

I've searched print media for any info on the chinese food containers, and have come up empty. No specific info on any evidence collected.

I'm wondering if it might be referenced in video...

I realize we really don't know if 1080 is a crimescene but just thinking about someone staying inside the house...it reminded me of a guy i saw on the Clay County Sherrif Daily Bullentin for October 21st...there's an RSO listed (his home address was 1.9 miles from 1080 Gano):
R, AE (B M, 25) Arrest on chrg of Fail To Report Vacating Permanent Residence (F), at Transient, Orange Park, FL, on 10/21/2009.

How long had he been transient?? Where was he on the 19th?

Does this mean he wasn't in jail long (???) if he comes up again October 30th:
R, AE (B M, 25) Arrest on chrg of Shoplifting (M), at 901 N Orange Av, Green Cove Springs, FL, on 10/30/2009

And again Nov 10th:
R, AE (B M, 25) Arrest on chrg of Vop-providing Acl. To Person Under 21 (M), at 901 N. Orange Ave, Greencove Springs, FL, on 11/10/2009.

He's got one heck of a RECORD!!!!!

This guy has a slew of charges. Can't believe he was walking the streets on 10/21. It doesn't seem like he held any one residence too long. He had a ton of trespassing charges. Maybe it's because he was sleeping, loitering places? Or maybe he just kept showing up somewhere he wasn't welcome.

They need to keep a much closer watch on these guys. I'm betting a lot of guys had their luck run out when LE had to account for them all after Somer went missing. This should be done more frequently! Look how many RSO's were locked up in just a few days for failing to notify new address.

The public deserves to know when someone convicted of harming a child moves in next door.

I think this statement speaks volumes as to the kind of person who did this, and why the community should be outraged right about now.

"I fear for our community until we bring this person in. This is a heinous crime that's been committed," Beseler said. "And we're going to work as hard as we can to make this community safe."

This statement gives me hope that there was "key evidence". Or maybe it is just a general statement made by Beseler.
I hope it was a slip.

"Had we not done this tactic, I believe that body would have been buried beneath hundreds of tons of debris, probably would have gone undiscovered forever," he told reporters. Even if the body had been found later, key evidence could have been destroyed or degraded, the sheriff said.

I couldn't get the video on that link to load, but if the info is correct about the chinese food containers being removed from the dumpster, this is an outstanding piece of info!

I'm literally reeling right now!

That is one piece to the puzzle that I've been trying to put into place.

That is one more piece to the puzzle that I've been trying to put into place.

I couldn't get it to load either b/c I think the link goes to a live feed.
I tried to go back through the videos to isolate where this one is, but didn't have any luck. the newsite was not working great for me tonight. It may be on the thursday 10/22 10pm video, it wouldn't play past 6:48 for me-it just stopped, and it said there was 14:00 of video :waitasec:

I logged back on to make one more comment.

I was trying to work out a half-baked hypothesis about the food containers, but after giving it some thought - I have realized it doesn't fit and is not at all plausible (in terms of the scenario I was working on).

Sometimes I get far too excited for my own good!


ETA: If the victim's DNA is found on those containers, it places her at the Gano house (obviously). But I seriously doubt her DNA has been found on them. And now, I'm really going to call it a night! Be back on Friday!

Wouldnt LE search the Gano house just because it was empty and the last place anyone spoke to her? Does anyone know what time workers left that day? I know, I know, its already been answered in thread... omgosh...I really have to go cook... Happy Holidays.. hopefully Sorrell is right... maybe an arrest soon..

I have followed Somer's case and Haleigh's from the beginning.Thier cases bother me more than most other ones.They are sweet little girls.I pray for thier families. I hope and pray an arrest is made very soon and justice is done for them.

Ive looked and looked for the interview, it was day after poker run IIRC..
