For those following Luis Martinez, his body has likely been recovered from a septic tank near his house.
Sorry for O/T and cross posting.

I have a septic tank where I live. It has a cover that has to be removed which I have never done myself (lol) , but I'm sure that it's heavy and not that easy to do.

Is that the way they are in Florida?

I read what happened to the child. So so sad.

1. The dumpster at the Gano house undoubtedly was not the dumpster she was dumped in to go to the dump. It had not been emptied.
2. It is a crime scene (apparently) but probably not where the murder happened, but we don't know that for sure. If it was the murder scene, would it still be under crime scene tape?

I'm also open to the idea that DT did not commit this crime. I truly don't want it to be her or any family members/friend of the family/ BF, etc.

DT and the Gano house workers are placed in the vicinity at the time of her disappearance and murder - not by speculation, but by fact.

This is what I am personally interested in fleshing out - who can be placed there not by imagination or speculation, but by fact.

It seems to me there is a very short list from which to draw.

True, but if anyone is implying DT did it, I would like to see the timeline.

She was at work, came home, looked around some streets, and flagged the deputy. Within approximately an hour.

When did she have time to do stuff to her daughter and dump her in the trash? Did she have physical evidence on her when the deputy and the other arriving interviewed her?

Would anyone flag a deputy right after doing "heinous" things to a child?

IF anyone says that stuff was done after the deputy was called, they are even more wrong. Because AFAIK she was surrounded by cameras, police, people after the disappearance was reported, and she could not have exited the home to do bad things without being noticed.

1. I am not saying DT did it. How would anyone know at this point
2. There are inconsistencies.
She has SP babysitting the first time ever. Why? Who watched the kids normally?
If it was the older children-first the older elementary daughter and then the middle school child, why have SP there that day at all?
3. DT says that Somer doesn't wander. The babysitter that had sat in the past said
that she would be gone up to an hour. DT even had a list of numbers to call.
Several neighbors say that she wandered all of the time
4. Somer has been gone less than an hour and DT leaves from work. At 4:20 she
calls the BF to come home to search.
5. DT picks the son up at OPAA , is it at 4:25? Why there?
6. There is confusion on who was and who was not out looking for ST from the
family, according to the MPR
7. There appears to be blocks of missing time.

I can see the scenario of her losing it with the child. I don't know how she could dispose of the body in broad daylight.

I don't know what signs there would have to be on DT if she did do something to the child. She could have hit her in a way that killed her that left no marks on her.

LE has said to looks for marks on the perp, which leads me to believe that they have some kind of DNA evidence of a struggle.

I'm leaning more to the Gano house and something related to that. But the scenario brought up about DT seems plausible, except for body disposal.

But Sad - Remember when you told us that ST wanted to see Somer's body and the funeral home person asked him to please not do that -- I think IIRC that you asked them later privately if that was because of being in the trash compacter, and they said no, that she wasn't crushed --?

Sorry if I remember it wrong, but I was so hoping that wasn't the case, that that didn't happen to her little body . . .

Ive thought about that alot since then..I asked him and with tears in his eyes, he shook his head and just looked down.. looking back I guess it could have meant anything.. I dont think she was compacted.. but I think it must have been horrible none the less and I think this man was devastated by what he saw.

I thought I remembered CCSO calling Gano a crime scene as was the entire search area. I'll go dig for that video. Until then, don't quote me and consider it another hallucination.

ETA
Investigators left the abandoned house around 1 a.m. Friday, but it remained a crime scene with 24-hour police protection.

Three police officers are on each end of the house and crime scene tape still keeps everyone away. Gano Avenue, a major roadway through this neighborhood, is still blocked off, with a FDLE unit parked in the street.

MY question: Do they put crime scene tape around areas they do not feel are crime scenes?

They put crime scene tape around my house when it caught on fire.. to keep people out.. although it wasnt a crime scene.. I think they use the same tape for alot of reasons, mostly for no trespassing.

I see by your posts that you have been on WS for a pretty long time, probably. Does LE ever put out fake info?

Why do you think that they don't clear the family?

BBM

I'm not sure LE would admit to being the source of the rumor/misinformation, but yes, I think they do.

But I'm wondering how, in this case, how they can ask for the public's help and be the ones giving the misinformation (or not correcting it right away).

As far as clearing the family ... or not ... I'd been trying to figure out what would be the advantage of not announcing that (AS AN EXAMPLE BUT NOT SOMETHING THAT TOOK PLACE: Diena, Perry, Sean, etc. and taken polygraphs and were not considered suspects at this time and all that I could come up with was that they were giving the perp a false sense of security.

I was hoping others would have more ideas too.

She might not have looked good or able to view if she really was shot in the head.

I think those people in the funeral business have been in the position of having family say they wanted to see their loved one and then regretting it.

I was reading a blog by someone in that profession and although it was tough to get through, it was informative.

Why doesn't LE say she was shot then? Any ideas at all on that?

It's not like it's a secret to the perp that LE knows that it's a gunshot. I

If it was a gunshot. the public could respond to where they might have heard a gunshot.

I would think that would eliminate the family as a gunshot leaves a mess and there is no way they could hide that in a home or a car.

Hey everybody. I followed this case closely at first and have not been here in a while due to lack of information and following other cases.

I have a question.
I looked over the last couple of days of posts and I see that several times it was mentioned that money DT spent on booze and drugs would have paid for a sitter for after school.
Has it been confirmed that DT had a drug or alcohol problem at the time of Somer's abduction?
TIA

Yes please can someone fill us in on this? I had not heard this

I think that there were references to it by a friend of DT's one day last week, was it? It was all pulled before I ever saw it, except for the beginnings of it, and the mods pulled the thread.

I think some of the people involved got a time out for a few days ,and I think that the friend was banned, so I don't think anyone who saw what actually went down will be discussing it.

....[snipped]...Isn't the date of those party photos before DT & ST split? I don't know, I just thought I heard the two year mark being thrown around as when they split. The pics are from 2003/2004 yes? Hmmmmm. Please don't tell me ST was in Iraq at that time?!

Oh boy Sadnpod might know the answer to this one...all I can verify is that this is the same time frame as the "hospitalization" (c.2003-2004)

I wish I knew which one it was for as well...but in the neighborhood back then, DT was our Britney for sure.

As a matter of fact several of the neighbors laughed as they knew that one day.....one day we would see DT on Tv....but no one ever imagined it would be under these circumstances.

OK all this drug talk has me back at somethings from yesterday...

She was referred to as "Britney" who's former bodyguard once claimed he feared she would die from a drug overdose after finding her completely "out of it" in a hotel room and then another time Police and ambulances were called to Spears' home after Britney allegedley refused to give custody of her children back to Kevin Federline. She was then taken to hospital after it appeared she was highly intoxicated on an unknown substance. Some speculate it's possible that Britney Spears attempted suicide, or overdosed

Wheels are turning - which leads to other questions - and makes me wonder if ST knows about this "hospitalization"? Or was he in Iraq and missed EVERYTHING...for example, both the party and the hospitalization?!?!?

Just wondering out loud kids. Can I do that here?

You mean like go for a limo ride?

Sorry, carry on.

I don't think DT rode any limos the night her daughter went missing.

But, IF you know differently, by all means, please give us the link.

:)

I would like to ask the "thread " a question: Do you feel this crime was intentional or accidental?
Chee, you can go first................well.........hmmmmm.......gosh that's a tough one......hmmm....I'll say accidental.
