Somer Thompson's neighborhood remains on edge
Crossing guard Jim Woolsey, 69, recalls getting hugs from Somer at his post at Grove Park Drive and Gano Avenue. Woolsey said he didn’t find it unusual when he saw Somer’s siblings, but not her, the day she disappeared. Now he doesn’t hesitate to ask if a child is missing.
“If I know brothers or sisters and there’s not the brother or sister there, I ask whoever is here, 'Where’s your brother? Where’s your sister? What’s going on?’ ” Woolsey said.
Gonzalo Floyd, 38, lives across from a large propane tank where Somer’s siblings said they last saw the little girl.
