Noway--re: your earlier question about whether police car was near Grove Park Elementary on the 10-19--I looked at the Daily Bulletin for that day and saw no traffic citations close to that school that day, although there were several near other schools. That doesn't necessarily mean they weren't there, but I'd be surprised if they were and didn't write a single ticket in the neighborhood.

The police near the school are many times officers with the Orange Park Police Department---because this area falls within town limits. If any tickets were written by these officers, the information wouldn't show up on the Daily Bulletin because that information is for deputies with the Clay County Sheriff's Department.

I also have a vague recollection from way back in this case of reading an article that mentioned the co-workers and even a brief quote by the dentist. I wanted to think it was on maybe Action news or First Coast news or maybe a Times union or other paper online. I came on here and read through posts to see if anyone had a link posted to refresh my memory. Since no one else remembers reading this it either went quickly down the memory hole by being removed from the net. I hope with your post and mine that if anyone else remembers this they will post a response. Otherwise, just mark this 'hallucination'.

Prior to Somer's abduction, I always saw a cop car sitting in the OPAA parking lot (across from the 1080 Gano Ave. house) when school let out. I think they were mostly there looking for speeders.

Since her death, I've seen multiple cops in the area both driving that route and sitting at the OPAA. I've never seen at deputy at the intersection with flashing lights.

I don't live in the neighborhood, and probably pass through only about once a week, so I wouldn't take what I say as fact so much as just my observation when I have been there (which is not a daily basis).

I had also heard a reporter on a video (can't remember which one after watching so many) talk about the police patrolling the neighborhood regularly @ the time that school let out - before Somer went missing.

Which was why we were all wondering several threads ago how she could have been snatched (unwillingly) off the street with so many people around and police patrolling. Add this with your info about the police @ the OPAA - it seems even more likely she went with someone she knew, which is a possible explanation as to how it went unnoticed.

hi everyone!

Well in reading all the pages and pages of posts, I thought I would assure everyone that I am still here, not a hit and run poster. lol

I haven't had much to add lately, I am not local and really only came on originally to shed light on DT, her behavior, and such that most people don't understand about her....I am not sure if it helped at all. Once again I will say in this post, that while she wasn't the best example of a mom, and she has a wild side, I don't think she is directly involved in Somers murder. My instincts tell me that her lifestyle may have brought some shady characters into her home and the lives of her kids....and that is unfortunate if the murderer turns out to be someone DT knows.

Anything I have said regarding DT was not meant in any harmful way (you often can't tell someones tone when reading stuff on the CPU y'know). When asked if someone had anything good to say about her, I was first in line telling you some DT stories....someone even said it made her sound "normal".

There is a lot more info, that I guess some of us who are closer to this case, are privy to. Of course I can't share it all, as some things just aren't allowed to be discussed on here. And with the likelihood of getting a supoena lingering over my head, I am trying to limit any further posts.

I hope you all understand, I am still watching and reading the news on here....or lack thereof. I am still hoping for an arrest soon, clearing DT's name, and I hope the sicko who did this rots in jail.

As for ST, it will be a long and bumpy road in working on his relationship with the kids....I hope it all comes together for all parties involved. Change is good, forgiveness is divine, the healing needs to start somewhere, for the sake of the Thompson children...AC, M, AT, ST jr.....and in memory of Somer.

Great! Well, the way I remember it is I read posts back and forth about what the coworkers had said on the comment section of n4j. So I wrote a comment asking did they know this person (co-worker being referred to as Chatty Cathy), and learned that from a conversation first hand? They responded back with a link. I went there and read this article about what the co-workers said to an interviewer. It was a brief article about their shock and sadness and their equally vague comments about when she left, but I don't remember it saying a time like so and so pm last saw her.
It may be because they had been interviewed of course and asked not to give any specifics but it was interesting nonetheless. But, mostly I wanted to refer back to it since many times but can't find it for anything and now it is almost two months ago and gets more ephemeral in my memory everyday!

You'd think with a story that huge, since media had been camped @ every other location regarding the case, they would have been camped outside the landfill, as well.

This new info with the FBI agent's comments provides a whole new perspective to the case - especially with regards to evidence.

It never made sense to me that LE would allow all that garbage to be mixed - it would have destroyed any chance of recovering viable evidence that could lead them to the perp.

We have all watched countless videos of the media covering every aspect of this case.

How odd that none of us recalls having watched a single video of media present at the landfill.

Another thing I find odd is that the name of the ME who performed the autopsy has never been released. In my memory, from the few crimes that I have followed over the years, the name of the ME is discussed in the media in high profile murder cases. But we still don't know the name of the ME who performed Somer's autopsy.

Media reported that the ME in Savannah GA would perform the autopsy. But the ME's name was never revealed.

Could it be because the autopsy was not performed in GA, as we were led to believe?
