I totally agree.Sommer was murdered.....by a monster.

Maybe you can help - what is the purpose of this thread? If it's to cast mom Diena as the negligent and irresponsible mom, culpable for the murder of her child, than I would like to see more evidence than just opinions by those who need to cast her as such.
The case was closed in two weeks - and a Social Worker made the report. Now I'm wondering how a SW would know that one of the children was alone in the woods alone with a man. I'm wondering if this SW is a man and has been investigated. I'm pretty sure this was discussed back in the beginning theads. not sure though all my opinion
How close to a year was it that this report was made and Somer was killed?

NO Doc, there is alot more that is not being said... MOOOOOOOO
Dang who is this worker?
The unidentified worker told the Department of Children and Families that Somer and her three siblings got lost at least once walking from Grove Park Elementary School and were found in woods with a stranger. The worker indicated that Somers mother needed to pay more attention to the childrens safety and get them into day care at the school.
Why would someone make that kind of statement if they did not have anything to back up their accusation? Did this SW just make up the story?
I will look forward to seeing it.
But from the evidence we have now, the story stinks.
I think the odds are Somer would have been more likely to have been killed in a car wreck riding to and from school then killed walking to school.[/QUOTE
Odds would have been better than being killed by a meteorite, winning the lottery, whatever you want to say.
It is not easy to get a case to be investigated by DCS. They have kids with cig burns, broken bones, etc. I'm sure there was a lot in the case file that finally triggered an investigation.
DCS gave suggestions and she chose not to take them.
I guess it was worth it to gamble for DT that there was no issue.
We are not talking hypothetical here or statistical odds.
Your doctor can tell you to lose weight and exercise and you may choose not to and gamble that you will be one of the statistical odds that doesn't get one of the diseases that goes with those issues.
DCS gave their suggestions. DT didn't choose to follow their expert advice. Oh well. Somer made it another year.
