Why do you say that? Do you think the police would have named him a POI in a high profile murder case with no evidence and knowing they can be sued forever if it turned out not to be true?
Actually, I don't think they can be sued for that. Like I said, I just want more info. I think he should have a fair trial, and if convicted, should get the death penalty. I hope they have a lot of evidence. I want this case to have some kind of resolution.

He has a million dollar bail - Do you think someone will put their paid for home or two up as bail? And if so, why would they do that?

IDK it would be $100,000 & Lenard Pedilla comes to mind. Let's hope he doesn't come NEAR this case. :snooty:

ITA - LP needs to stick to bounty hunting and leave all these cases alone. IMO

Wouldn't that be awful? I can't imagine Lenard putting up bond for a child 🤬🤬🤬🤬 addict. I highly doubt that would get him increased ratings.

Is it possible that he could have is bail reduced as it was downloaded 🤬🤬🤬🤬 & if he were able to show he wasn't a flight risk? Not sure here.

  • #366
I hope not Dee.

Downloaded child 🤬🤬🤬🤬 is horrific IMO.
I know there are different stages in charges. LIke if he downloaded it or actually took the pictures or videos himself.

But, I think even if he downloaded it, it is a crime and he should stay put.

LOL he hasn't won friends in the Anthony or the Cummings case, but it doesn't stop him from interfering. I think he believe there is no such thing as bad publicity. He simply doesn't care. :curses:

Somebody who gets their jollies from looking at sexually graphic pictures of children should not be walking the streets IMO.

Makes me sick and makes me want to scream. FREAKS

I can't imagine what makes you and spamalope so uncomfortable about Harrell behind bars. Please share!
It's not that he's behind bars, I would expect that for someone charged with what he is.
Guess everyone forgot that silly little "innocent til proven guilty" phrase.

I don't think anybody has forgotten the phrase.

I think we are all over joyed that it looks like there may be justice for Somer.
We are discussing this and drawing our own conclusions from what we know (not much right now).

We have been discussing this case for months and we finally have a face of a POI. Should we just hush until the trial is over????

I am wondering if LE found something of Sommer's or some of her DNA like a hair strand in the home. If so, they have to link that to JH and that could be what they are working on. If more than one person lived in the home, they have to connect evidence to him and not someone else. Just a thought.

Steven Jay Hatfill (born October 24, 1953) is an American physician, virologist and bio-weapons expert. The US Department of Justice identified the former government scientist as a "person of interest" in its investigation of the 2001 anthrax attacks. FBI raids on his home were well-attended by journalists and, consequently, several news outlets speculated that Hatfill was at one time the likely suspect for the attacks. He later sued the government for ruining his reputation, a case which the government settled for US$5.8 million.[1] Investigators later announced that the anthrax attacks had been carried out by another government scientist, Bruce Edwards Ivins, who they concluded had acted alone.

The girl was so traumatized by the pictures that she MAY go to therapy now that this has hit the news, six months later? Where is she? It's not like she's Brangelina and the press is going to follow her into Winn Dixie. What are they hiding from?
What if JH is being made a scapegoat? The cops, having all the evidence, still didn't see him as the suspect for months. It took repeated urgings from RB. Does anyone else feel uncomfortable with all this?

Well we know that he was under suspicion by LE for the past 2 mths, and i feel it may have been a bit longer, as I believe the hints given that LE had someone under their radar was directed towards JH. As far as the child 🤬🤬🤬🤬 on his computer, a history has been shown that makes it highly likely that it is indeed his. If a couple wanted to get back at a roommate for stealing from them, you would think there would be many ways that come to mind before you think of setting up child 🤬🤬🤬🤬 on their computer. I agree we need more information before we can be 100 percent confident that this is the right guy. i would not be surprised to find out that he was viewing child 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 shortly before he did this.

Personally I feel it is the monster , that there is going to be solid evidence to prove it and its only a matter of time before we get all this. I don't get any feeling that LE is anything but dedicated to finding the true person .
responsible for this. I hope I am right, but from what I have seen and read I am very comfortable that Le has their man.

A very interesting phrase to research for its origin and application. It's very commonly misunderstood.

There's nothing uncomfortable about JH behind bars for child 🤬🤬🤬🤬 - rightfully so!

What's UNCOMFORTABLE is the idea that he could be a scapegoat for Somer's murder.

Just to be clear: Scapegoating is the practice of singling out one child, employee or member of a group of peers for unmerited negative treatment or blame for something they did not do. Related concepts include frameup, whipping boy and fall guy.

I'm waiting for the FACTS to be presented before I get comfortable...

Technically Harrell is innocent - but we are on a crime blog and have been discussing this case for months and finally they have a person of interest that we speculate about. You can speculate he is innocent and I can speculate he is guilty - makes for good conversation. At LEAST there are real reasons he might be guilty; POI, living on street where children walked to and from school, at least 8 years of child 🤬🤬🤬🤬, history of bad temper, lying, stealing, moving, and who knows what else. MHO

Just a observation:

It seems those of us who always believed a stranger or child preditor took Somer and killed her are having an easier time thinking JH is the guy. I think it's because we always thought a guy like him was out there. KWIM

Those who thought Somer was not sexually assaulted and that she was killed by someone in her family or someone she knew are having a hard time thinking JH could be the guy.

Not trying to say who is right, just making a comment as to why some are finding it harder to believe than others.

Just my 2 cents.

It should be mandatory they lose their frank and beans immediately after they're convicted.
