Not sure this information has already been put up - I'm amazed at how young JH wanted his 🤬🤬🤬🤬 victims.

CLAY COUNTY, Fla. -- Within hours of Jarred Harrell's early morning extradition to Clay County last week, Harrell, 24, a person of interest in the killing of 7-year-old Somer Thompson, was charged with 12 counts of producing child 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 and with molesting the child in that 🤬🤬🤬🤬.

State Attorney Angela Corey talked about the additional charges on Monday.

"It was a very young child, even younger than Somer Thompson, that there is physical evidence that corroborates the charges," Corey said.

Corey said the child was as young as 3 years old, and the evidence was found on a memory card from a digital camera. According to court documents, that card belonged to Harrell.

I bet there is, that is a very large increase in the DNA they take. I just wish they would not keep it if the person is found not guilty of a felony.

I wonder where our world is headed on most days, with so many advances so quickly. I wonder if in the future, babies will have their dna on file somewhere, and crime solving might be alot easier when they grow up.

What would be the harm to the person not guilty? There are cameras almost everywhere these days, bank cards that track our money & what we buy, the list goes on, but frankly if they have my DNA on file...I have no problem. Just wondering what the possible repercussions would be for an innocent person?

Yes, I did .... sorry, I got bumped out and could not get back in. Thought I was headed for Vacationsville for some reason.

I really hate that this society thinks backwards. Not dissing anyone here. Really.

But I was listening to public radio today and they had a program on about how states are cutting back their services to children. Some states are laying off child protection workers. Some are only investigating the most serious of charges.

I would rather have things done in the start of life, rather than having all of the money spent on tracking criminals and housing them.

I listened to the Mayor of Newark , New Jersey on public radio as well today. I have to drive a lot on my job, so I am in and out of my car and don't always hear all of the program.

He has turned Newark around. He talked about being the change that you want to see. He said that he took on three very tough kids as a mentor.

I was thinking about what a difference that could make in our country. That's what he was saying. It was so inspirational. I hope he's for real, as it brought trears to my eyes.

Not that I do it myself, but I do have a job working with tough situations and I do see good that comes from it. I don't mean from me, but from programs that help people. I wish I could tell you the stories of hope. I think that we should have a lot more stories of people that made it out of incredibly horrible situations. They are my heroes, rather than athletes, etc.

Are there any handwriting experts out there who could take a look at JH's signature's? Very weird IMHO

Sorry to disagree but I live here and know they have been on top of this from the very beginning starting with late Monday afternoon after Somer disappeared. We have an outstanding Sheriffs Department. They are always very closed mouth which they should be to protect any case. I have not heard one person here (Clay County) complain about our LE. And this is not just MO!:woohoo:

That is good to hear. I am counting on it!! Thanks for sharing.

I know most of us disagree in the big picture overall but Somer seemed to be having serious issues the day she went missing. A child in disarray.

1)Not feeling well in the morning
2)Fight in school which more than likely resulted in punishment
3)Spat with friend MC on walk home
4)Spat with siblings
5)Murdered

Something MUST have been on this child's mind. Kids tend to act out for attention. Seemed to be acting out most of the day. I feel awful that Somer went through such an awful day and then ends up murdered. It breaks my heart.

Snipped for space.

NSC I don't think the fact she had a bad day means something was on her mind or she acted out for attention.

1) Not feeling well is normal. Happens all the time. My child tries to say this when she doesn't want to go to school - she goes anyway most of the time.
2) could be explained by Somer's personality (fiesty)
3) could be explained by Somer's personality (fiesty)
4) could be explained by Somer's personality (fiesty)
5) Well, this one boils down to actions by a monster IMO.

No doubt her last day on earth was horrible, but I don't think it means anyting was going on that was causing it. Seems like it could be just normal chains of events - up until the monster acted.

We all have bad days.

Yes Kim, True we all have bad days --- but I think back to age 7 and it seems like so much to me.

I was the QUEEN of "not feeling" well and not wanting to go to school -- FOR A REASON - I had the number on absences. I know we don't have a history on her attendance but I put myself back to first grade in my mind. If I wasn't sick and I didn't want to go to school it was for a reason of my own.

JMO - in any case - it is heartbreaking - I can not imagine the day and later the fear she faced when she saw her killer.

I know. It just breaks my heart when my mind goes to the instant Somer realized she was in danger. I can picture her eyes, her reaction. It's too much to think about.

I try to direct my thoughts to something else, but sometimes it just haunts me.

And, I'll tell you this, sometimes now when my daughter says she does not feel well in the mornings (allthough I know she just wants to lay around, play video games, and eat junk all day instead of sitting in a classroom, lol) my thoughts go straight to Somer.
I wish Somer would not have went to school that day. But, I do see why she was sent. You can't always just let a child stay home because they want to.

But, I just think, if she wasn't sent that day, she may be alive. Not blameing anyone, it's just my thoughts.

So, anyway, when my DD trys to pull a "sick day" I think, should I send her????
I think of Somer and I really don't want to send her by I know I need to.

It's amazing to me how a case can change how you think about so many things.

ETA: And to tell you how my mind works, everytime, I think, is this a sign? Is something bad gonna happen today? Then it's torture to send her. But if I let her stay home everytime, she would be a drop out at age 12.

I am a little curious as to who took down Jarred Harrells myspace accounts AFTER he was arrested. Would LE request that they be removed?

Myspace has a policy to remove profiles belonging to known predators and child sex offenders. I guess in this case they are going by accused as well.

100 Percent agree with you. This case DOES haunt me! During the day and in my dreams EVERY night as well!!!!

I hear where you are coming from about the going to school thing. I get that. I don't want you to think I was placing blame because Somer was sent to school. That was not my intention. I just can't help but wonder if she feared going to school that day because she got into it with the girl that prior Friday which led to her fight that Monday. I could say the same had it been a homework assignment she hadn't completed over the weekend - it could be any reason. We will most likely never know.

In response to the myspace comment - UGH, I can't stand myspace - it is a breeding ground for TROUBLE in today's day and age. Sex Predators - UGH - they all need to be HUNG, LASHED and PUT ON AN ISLAND to pick berries and fend for themselves. I know myspace has done a lot of crackdowns on this issue. But they have other problems as well. UNDERAGE children signing up and posing to be older -- these children think it is "cool" put it all out there and it makes them targets, I don't care what anyone says, there are statistics and websites to prove this. The picture JH had on his profile was NOT that of his and then with a little girl standing in the back round - INSERT PUKING ICON---and I also think it is a way for these predators to network with one another in code. With the removal of JH profile I think also has to do with his "friends list" -- JMO of course - I am certain his friends on there are also being investigated and looked into for like behavior similar to JH online activities.

This also gives these sickos ample opportunity to search young girls and potential victims online in their area!!! Do you agree or disagree??? Is it or is not possible for them to do this??

It also breaks my heart to think of Somer's day that day from what i have read. That poor little girl. Being a mother it just wants to make you keep your children as close as you can everyday, and i know, that is impossible. Having raised 4 myself, i have found the hardest part of being a parent is "letting go". So hard in this day and age though. Thank god my kids are all adults and one almost at adult age. I would hate to have to worry myself sick over a small child nowadays. My beautiful daughter is 35yrs old, and she tells me no way does she want children, because of this sick world we live in! I also think her brother's death had a lot to do with it when she saw what i went through as his mother. She had her own loss to deal with too.

I was wondering about the timeline of Somer that day. For when the bus dropped the children off, to when the alert that Somer was missing. I think i read she was first reported missing at around 3pm. I am imagining the bus drops the children at around 2pm.? Then she had also walked part of the way, so what kind of timeline did that give to abduct her? I am guessing approx. 1/2 an hour?
If she had walked past J.H. house first and from there he got her, she then couldn't have gone past the burnt out house where the workers were, to tell them what a good job they were doing?
She must have gone past the burnt out house first, IMO, as has been established re her comment to the workers. I wonder who stated she had said that, that Somer said they were doing a good job? It surely would have been one of the worker/workers there on the site.
If she then proceeded past the J.H. house , i don't think he would of taken her to the burnt out house, because the workers were still there, weren't they? because she had spoken to them.
As i mentioned i am talking about a reasonably short time line in this from what has been said.
Usually when workers working a site are done, they usually have a bit of a clean up afterwards, throwing things in the dumpster, etc.
Does anyone think she may have possibly even made it home first, and the culprit got her from there?, seeing as from what i have read nobody was at home yet by then.
There was hardly anyone on that day that noticed Somer, apart from her sibs, a boy by some tanks?, and the workers from what i can gather.
