To the best of my knowledge, according to the MPR, SP and DT didn't exchange messages until 4 pm, DT then left work after she found out Somer did not come home with others and didn't flag the Cop down til 5 pm!

So really if School is finished at 2:30 and LE doesn't get involved til 5 pm there was about a 2 &1/2 hr window of opportunity for the Perp. (Give or take the various stories of when she was last seen). Lets say 2 hrs. To make matters worse the all points bulletin wasn't called into the LE switchboard til 8 pm that Eve. I suppose Somer's Hx of wandering was the reason for the delay. Now a blinking 5 hrs had passed and I suppose the first set of officers conducted their own search before alerting the rest of the Force. Did they ever issue an Amber alert? I don't think so.

I was wondering about the timeline of Somer that day. For when the bus dropped the children off, to when the alert that Somer was missing. I think i read she was first reported missing at around 3pm. I am imagining the bus drops the children at around 2pm.? Then she had also walked part of the way, so what kind of timeline did that give to abduct her? I am guessing approx. 1/2 an hour?
If she had walked past J.H. house first and from there he got her, she then couldn't have gone past the burnt out house where the workers were, to tell them what a good job they were doing?
She must have gone past the burnt out house first, IMO, as has been established re her comment to the workers. I wonder who stated she had said that, that Somer said they were doing a good job? It surely would have been one of the worker/workers there on the site.
If she then proceeded past the J.H. house , i don't think he would of taken her to the burnt out house, because the workers were still there, weren't they? because she had spoken to them.
As i mentioned i am talking about a reasonably short time line in this from what has been said.
Usually when workers working a site are done, they usually have a bit of a clean up afterwards, throwing things in the dumpster, etc.
Does anyone think she may have possibly even made it home first, and the culprit got her from there?, seeing as from what i have read nobody was at home yet by then.
There was hardly anyone on that day that noticed Somer, apart from her sibs, a boy by some tanks?, and the workers from what i can gather.

BBM

No bus. They walked home (they lived too close to the school to qualify for bus).

School is out at 2:30, although Sgt. Mahla said Somer was released at 2:50, reports also say her siblings last saw her around 2:45 ...

As reported: Siblings saw her at Solomon and Gano; boy on bike saw her near tanks, CS saw her near intersection of Gano and Grove Park; Kyle, construction man, saw her at burned out Gano house. (The exact timeline of those events has not been established.)

There may be more children who noticed Somer walking home, but their parents have chosen not to put their names and faces in the media.

Somer and her siblings walked home from school every day, there's no bus to take them that mile home. [edited out commentary].

Also, DT had lunch with her friend SP and asked him to stay (or come back?) to be at her house when the kids came home from school; it was the first time she ever asked him to do that, IIRC, so I don't know who was home to watch the kids before that day. SP was there when the other two kids came home without Somer and he started the search.

Yes, they did. (ETA: • An AMBER Alert was issued on Tuesday morning. It does not mention the book bag or lunchbox, but mentions her possibly wearing white hat and scarf. JPG of AMBER Alert)

Also, the Sheriff said that Somer's slight history of running off was no reason to suspect that is what happened now (this was during interview with Jennifer Waugh on Monday night during late news ... 10 p.m. I think).

For sure I can agree with you on that. Of course it is possible. Young girls have photos of themselves all over FB and other sites, dressed provocatively, posing, etc. Lots of them leave their pages open for anyone to look at these pics. they have personal info and usually belong to their school network, so anyone can see what school they go to. Then all a perv has to do is look up their last name on the net and they can get a telephone number and address. We had a case near me where an adult male was posing as a high school kid and trying to meet up with girls from the local high school. The entire internet is a breeding ground for the fantasies of sick twisted individuals IMO.

I 100% agree.

What fight Friday? I don't remember anything about this.

Where did I say FIGHT on friday, Fess? I said "got into it" -- it could have been anything or nothing -- I am only speculating.

Did you ever dread a Monday morning because of something that happened on a Friday that you forget about over the weekend? Did anyone ever tell you "I am gonna get you Monday" -- or "you just wait"?? That kind of thing -- never stated it happened as fact.

okay, now I really feel like Im having a heart attack -- be back later, or not!

Yes, i did read back on the "Reporting Officer Narrative", obtained from F.C.N. website, and the other children got home at around 1510hrs. Somer was not with them according to S.P's statement. That was when he stayed there and told A.T. to go out to look for her. She returned some 15 minutes later, and was once again told to go out and look for her real good this time, before notifying Somer's mom. A text was received by him by D.T. asking about the children at 1600hrs., and that's when she was told about Somer.
Seems they all spent quite a bit of time searching themselves first, before L.E. became involved.

I hope this works. Do not know what I am doing!! Want you to be able to enlarge each picture and read note with each. I have them in order.

Would really like to post several large pictures at a time so they are good size and clear.

GrannyL, I so see what you and Cam meant about the ditch ... some of that would appeal to me as a kid and some of it would be difficult to navigate through.

Thank you so much!

GrannyL, I put your PB in my siggy but if you want it in yours, let me. If you need help, I'll tell you what I did. Have to run out now and will be back this evening.
