I know y'all hate me but thanks for the many posts since last night that to me are really relative to the crime, information that is excellent and isn't an emotional diatribe. It really helps me personally to try to figure this and that out. I'm sure it's the same for a few others. Honest, I'm very thankful to you excellent sleuthes for information that can be actually checked into and challenged.
:waitasec::waitasec:hate you?? NO

what's the construction guy saying??? Poor mom. My heart is breaking for her. I can't get it out of my head when she said " I can't remember if I told her I loved her that morning before she left".

I get tears just reading what you wrote...

He was talking to reporter on the 10pm news its web is news4jax but it is off now they may post the video on line. He wanted the public to know he (the owner) was questioned by police but was not a suspect, he even said the bro was not either. He was mad cause news stations put his bro's picture up but did not post all the other RSO pictures.
(the other RSO's were not working in that area)

I wonder if bro is still being questioned.

How sad, but I can understand why LE wouldn't want her to have those memories.

Sadly, I think its worse than that. I immediately thought there must be some obvious, gruesome injury LE does not want accidentally leaked yet. Goes along with sealing the autopsy and cause of death. Parents are usually allowed to see their children as soon as LE is done, even if its painful. I HOPE this isn't the case, but I can't think of another reason...

Wonder if perp moved body from one place to another because of the high news coverage got scared and placed in regular trash for the trash pick up.

Yes he could have.

Do they, when interviewing these RSO, do they have the right to test them for their DNA right on the spot?

KIMster! I suspect this has been posted, 'cause I haven't read through the threads completely. But I went to one of the local stations' websites: http://www.firstcoastnews.com/news/local/news-article.aspx?storyid=147076&catid=3. They posted about the creation of MAP, by the mothers in the community. There's a video report on that link. I like what the moms are thinking; purple's going to be their "safe" color. If a child has trouble, they'll know that they can safely go to someone displaying something purple. (Purple was Somer's favorite color.) I think what they're planning is a grand idea. And one that could be embraced by all communities. I did notice in one of the blogs a link to M.A.P. -- but it's another M.A.P. -- aimed at internet predators. The MAP in Orange Park is supposed to be "Moms Against Predators." The posted link on the First News blog is to Mothers Against Predators. I'm going to be standing in line for the new organization, as a mom and a grandmom. I'd encourage everyone else to do the same.

I love what they are doing, except that a RSO can also put on purple and lure them...I think they are going to be better off having a chain of command for that walk home.

Maybe it's more a matter of what happened to her in the garbage truck rather than what the prep did.

He'll blame it on drugs. It seems like they always do. Who cares why. I got some rope and torches. Who's bringing the pitchforks?????
Let's go get him!!!!!

I think the 'real' SO's should be branded like cattle-- huge red x
on their foreheads so we know who they are! Would be nice to know
who they are walking around with us in society. They deserve the
branding as far as I'm concerned.

What I mean by 'real' SO's are the true nasty offenders against
children. Seems to me so many SO's are lumped together that
even the system can't tell them apart. Example: underage
consensial sex.

could some of her injuries be caused by the trash compactor maybe?

That was so sad when she said that.
Sometimes we do take things that simple for granted.

The news that is on now is news4jax.com also firstcoastnews.com
news4jax was the one reporting the construction guy owner.

You're absolutely right, we need to separate the SO's from the consentual sex, the poor drunks who were busted for urinating in public etc. The problem comes in when the SO's make a plea bargain. This happens in many cases because the parents don't want the children to have to testify. So, we may not even be aware of the "true" charges.

They should already have their dna on file.

I think that may be a possibility but for now I'd suggest that this perp had the entire thing planned, it happened so fast that it just seems like a planned thing. He knew what he was going to do, and what he was going to do with the body after the fact (as disgusting as that sounds). I think the empty house has the answers, from what I have picked up via y'all, but I'm not here a whole lot so I may be missing a whole lot of things that may cause trouble with that opinion. That house just bugs me, and did LE not take some evidence from it?

I agree SO's need some sort of branding to tell them apart from the rest of society. I always thought a black bold tattoo of " RSO" or "RSP" on the forehead would be good or maybe fire engine red, flouresent Green even better...
If they have to be out in society then everyone should know...

News guy said Somer's mother was ask by police not to see remains before she was laid to rest. news4jax

Did I hear correctly (yesterday) that Somer was identified by dental records? So what we have, IIRC, is her leg with a birthmark, that she had at least some clothing on, and LE doesn't want her mother to see her remains. Having been in the garbage truck and being found in a landfill, I wonder if it's possible there's at least some mutilation from that? MOO

Sounds great at first glance, but I worry about this. Who is going to make sure that every purple house will be a safe place? What about relatives or friends or repairmen? What if someone puts up something purple temporarily? Who will take down the purple house if someone moves? And someone else moves in?

I don't know how the garbage system works there.

We have a large plastic can from the city/county sanitation department that is picked up by an arm on a truck and dumped. Then the can is put back at the end of our driveway. (if all goes according to plan).

I think it was much smarter to do truck by truck. Then you know you have garbage from house 1-30 versus (with 9 trucks) 1-270.

And I made up that number (30).

We have same pick up system here & it sounds like they were smart enough to do it the way you described above.
