I love what they are doing, except that a RSO can also put on purple and lure them...I think they are going to be better off having a chain of command for that walk home.

I thought that, too, about anyone wearing purple. I hope that their houses or something are marked; not just clothing. And the chain of command is an excellent idea, too! I hate our world has gotten to this point. I used to walk home from school. There are so many sickos out there now, I would let my dog walk alone, much less my child or grandchild. Gone are the days of letting your kids play outside and get exercise and sunshine; walk home from school and share chit chat and secrets with their friends; and feel safe and protected by the world.

Did I hear correctly (yesterday) that Somer was identified by dental records? So what we have, IIRC, is her leg with a birthmark, that she had at least some clothing on, and LE doesn't want her mother to see her remains. Having been in the garbage truck and being found in a landfill, I wonder if it's possible there's at least some mutilation from that? MOO

Wasn't the birthmark on her hand right near the thumb? So many things to remember and I'm not doing a very good job. TIA

I agree SO's need some sort of branding to tell them apart from the rest of society. I always thought a black bold tattoo of " RSO" or "RSP" on the forehead would be good or maybe fire engine red, flouresent Green even better...
If they have to be out in society then everyone should know...

Yeah, that would be excellent, as long as the ones being branded were clearly and definitely guilty. I recall "The Scarlet Letter" from past readings. To me, the trouble with "branding" is that perhaps some innocent persons become part and portion of that branding, and DNA analysis over the past few years has clearly shown that some who were considered guilty have not been guilty. I would suggest careful care and attention to such things as branding.

I vote for HUGE RED X...!! AND no hair to cover up the mark of the beast...!! They deserve to be branded like the animals they are. At least we could teach our children what the mark stands for.

Sadly, I think its worse than that. I immediately thought there must be some obvious, gruesome injury LE does not want accidentally leaked yet. Goes along with sealing the autopsy and cause of death. Parents are usually allowed to see their children as soon as LE is done, even if its painful. I HOPE this isn't the case, but I can't think of another reason...

I actually think it could be due to decomposition. Somer was in the worst place she could have been put. A landfill is filled with garbage, debris, spoiled foods etc. which heats up the surrounding environment and it seems she was buried under tons of trash. That would speed up decomposition.

Imo, they will not release the COD until a suspect has been arrested.

ITA- Now with DNA evidence we can be 99.9% sure! so those are the ones who get branded!!!

If they are proven innocent and wrongful conviction-- they could get a tatoo artist to make the RED X into something pretty or remove it.

I think that may be a possibility but for now I'd suggest that this perp had the entire thing planned, it happened so fast that it just seems like a planned thing. He knew what he was going to do, and what he was going to do with the body after the fact (as disgusting as that sounds). I think the empty house has the answers, from what I have picked up via y'all, but I'm not here a whole lot so I may be missing a whole lot of things that may cause trouble with that opinion. That house just bugs me, and did LE not take some evidence from it?

On right leg and twin has identical mark on stomach I think its the stomach.

I'm in favor of a lot of things for SO's. A remote island? Branding? Castration? But another thing that sticks in my mind is something I heard recently (please don't ask me for a link, I couldn't produce one if I had to), that a huge percentage of these monsters, who kill children, have never been arrested before. Which makes me wonder what the he!! LE can do to cast the net further. Horrific to think that with as many RSOs as are out there, that there's a much larger number, apparently, looking for their first victim.

The first report two nights ago said she'd been ID by a mark on her leg. Sorry I don't have the link right at hand but I can find it. MOO

For awhile the trend was real pretty colorful flags outdoors, and now they have pretty much disappeared. At least where I live.

Maybe they could come up with a special flag posted at homes in the neighboorhood for a safe haven for emergency. Parents could have neighborhood meetings and know the designated homes. Of course a child in a panic situation would know what a certain type flag meant. kwim?

I would love to know what LE took from that house, that's a long time being there, clearly they found something. Otherwise, they would not have remained so long, and they wouldn't have taken "bags" of apparent evidence from that place.
