I can't help but wonder if Somer died from some kind of severe head trauma and the autopsy left this child in a way that the funeral home couldn't make her presentable enough for the family..
My aunt suffered severe head trauma in a wreck to the point that the funeral director himself told the family it wasn't a good idea, but would honor the family's wishes if that is what they wanted. (For the record, no one viewed her body)
In my mind, this would be the only reason for the investigators to tell her mother that she didn't need to see her..

I do believe that Mom, DT, was allowed to see her baby at some time before the service. Of course the would not let or want her to see Somer when she was found or before the atopsy, but I am sure, the professionals at the funeral home did their best to make this happen for Diena.

After the death of a family member, I was in total shock. I did go to the funeral home at night, before they closed to mke sure this was real. Thankfully a God my best friend took me... Needless to say, the results were pretty bad. Thank godness for medications, cause I never would have made it...

Mom publicly stated that she would get a lock of hair but could not see her daughter.

Picture 4: Side by side of Stick Man and "Ickie T" Ickie, looks very similar to stick man. Ickie, is ALL over the newspapers and press, he does not know the family personally, first in line to meet mom this morning. Credit of pic goes to another poster who did this side by side.

Picture 5: William L Kuhn - RSO - Girlfriend died within last week of Somers disappearance. Lives on Gano

That would be a funeral director's job not LE's job. I have many coroner cases, I have never had a body released with the condition by LE that it not be viewed. Never. Once the body is released by the coroner it is up to the funeral director to counsel and lead the family.

It is my belief that LE does not want cause of death, condition of the body or any details of the injuries to be known except by the killer and LE. And they don't know who that killer is yet!

I have to agree with you here. There is WAY TOO much riding on this case for it to go unsolved is not acceptable. When I saying riding, I am talking of other children's lives at stake.

Sleuthing...finding no Dickie or Richard Thomas in Orange Park...several in Jacksonville, one in Green Cove Springs, FL , one in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL, one in Middleburg, FL, a couple in St Augustine, FL,one in Fernandina Beach, FL, one in Hastings, FL and the SO in Hilliard, FL...none in Orange Park.

These are the 3 that I have been interested in all along too. It is crazy though that there are so dang many of them right there.... Awful thought ran through my mind last night. They could be having a SO convention in that neighborhood. OKAY that was tacky. and scary

I am going to assume that LE was respectful when asking her not to look at the body with the explanation of not wanting anyone to know or see any details..surely they couldn't demand it of her could they?
I understand the point of it clearly, but still think she suffered head trauma of sorts that could be seen in a casket if opened.
Way too sad..
I hope Justice comes for this little one soon!

Hi yall. Been following this case right along with you, but just recently joined. This BSU person, imo, in my honest opinion, is giving clues to play you all. Don't be fooled by the quacks who join forums to get kicks off a little ones death. LE doesn't come on forums and give hints to open, unsolved cases do they? Personally I think BSU stands for bull ****.

I personally do not see resemblance of Dickie and Mike. Chins are shaped different. Mike looks to have a dimple in his chin. Noses look different to me as well.

Hi, I am a Newbie here so please bare with me, In regard to the robbery @ the Thompson home, I was wondering if the 4 involved thought there could be "pot" and perhaps $ at the household, the reason I am wondering as DT's facebook before it was altered had cannabis symbols on it. I realize this is somewhat far fetched however...
I was also wondering if Somer in DT's mind was an "Indigo" child hence the friendship with SP, she herself made reference that she and Somer had very similar personalities. I assume that Somer was a very free spirited child and the fact that she had a spat with a child at school and subsequently with her sis was not out of the norm along with her occasional history of not arriving home after school with the others. Thanks
