Morgan Martin is missing from St. Pete, It is more recent though.

Morgan was the first one I thought of, afterall it's in the area where she went missing, but with them saying very old I would think that means more then a year or two and possibly decades.

Missing from Pinellas County

Hmmmm didnt think about Kelly Rothwell. Also, there are people missing from St Pete listed on the pinellas county site as well as the site below.

Edit-as we know from other cases, missing person doesnt necessarily have to be from Pinellas.

Suzanne, David Gore came to mind. He had victims in Indian River County as well as Pinellas in the 80's.

James Winkles also comes to mind. Before his death he claimed to have other victims and killed his victims the St Pete Pinellas Park area.

Could be a jumper from Skyway to or missing boating victim. I dont see a jumper going UP tampa bay, I would think they would go out towards the Gulf.

OT/ Even seeing the Skyway bridge from the satellite scared me! The first (and only) time I ever crossed that bridge was a couple of months before the previous one fell! (early 80s?)

OMG I just thought of someone else. Amanda Brown. It was said by the prosecution during Willie Crain's trial that they believed he disposed of her in one of his crab traps and dumped it in Old Tampa Bay.

I saw this about an hour ago. It could even be a homeless person, but in the mango groves, it is usually a suspicious death.

Crawford, 45, said the skeleton looked like it belonged to a shorter person. He guessed it might be a woman, judging from the smallness of the teeth and other bones.
But anything is possible.
"The head looked like it was a grown person," Crawford said.

On Monday, authorities said the skeleton likely is that of Thomas S. Schafer, a 54-year-old resident of the Edna Stephens Home missing since Jan. 23, 2012. The facility is located at 620 32nd Ave. South.

After the remains were removed from the mangroves, a wallet with cash and identification belonging to Schafer were discovered in the pocket of a pair of shorts found on the body.
