GUILTY FL - Steven & Michelle Andrews, both 28, murdered, Fort Myers, 27 Dec 2005

From the posts that I have read on the other website, I don't think very many of the posters would make it here on WS's.

I agree. That said, there ARE some posters there that post responsibly, and some that know the victims and/or Kellie and Fred. I would love to see them posting here, and contributing to the case discussion in a relatively flame-free environment.

I think that those posters gathered at the NewsPress are content where they are. Some served their purpose well and shed light on the mystery before the authorities were allowed to, but it was very hard to wade through the numerous nonsense postings. But, ya never know how long a forum will be up and running, especially one that played such a key part in leaking statements and affidavits before the Defense was given Discovery.

"I have a question for everyone: if you were Michelle, and you intercepted the call that Kellie made, asking for Steve, so he could help you move something, what do you think you would have done? How would you have reacted to the extravagant (for a Christmas grab bag) gift from Kellie to your husband?"

I would be more secure in my marriage as I know that my man wouldn't want such a funny looking woman after I snatched her baldheaded.

I'm mostly a lurker, but this case is fascinating. I listened to all the tapes. I thought it was very strange that the parents of Steve & Michelle showed no emotion.

They just learned about the deaths of their children & IMHO, they seemed rather calm.

What do ya'll think?

I think that it is safe to say that the calmness during their interviews was unsettling to most outside observers. Of course, they were all in shock and there was time for sedatives to have been administered if they were needed, but it would have taken an elephant tranq to have taken this Rat down a notch or two had they been someone in my life.

I am in fantastic shape, and I think that I would be tempted to tell the gal that she better back off if she knew what was good for her. I would have then told my husband that if he wanted out of our marriage to be a man and get the hell out instead of sneaking behind my back.

I would be watching closely for any sign of infidelity--and his a$$ would be gone.

That's just me, though... :blushing:

I hear what you are saying RR. It would have taken at least an elephant tranq to keep me down, along with a two-state alcohol allowance!

I know when they found my BIL, after he drowned, my husband's doctor put him on some strong tranqs just so he could function without killing someone. And his death was ruled accidental....However, no one in the family buys the "accidental.":banghead:

I've never been through this, but after my twins were stillborn people could have described me that way, at least for the first few days and that was without tranquilizers. I was numb, then the grief set in and I cried daily for three years and off and on for many years afterwards.

Hi Tezi!
I thought it was so funny. I think the writer did a pretty good job of capturing the essence of Steve and Kellie. The references to music were too funny, and I especially loved Kellie's "response" about being onto her next guy. :blushing: :innocent: :D

I've been good, how about you? :blowkiss:

...I am just sick after reading the emails. Steve was almost mocking Michelle, imo. The remarks about her trying to be perfect, seeing Michelle's love note to Steve, etc...I just feel sick to my stomach.

I too feel that Kellie has blood on her hands. She had alot of nerve talking abut Lukasz like she knew him, like she and Steve and the 2 kids would live happily ever after...I think the talk about Lukasz was manipulative as hell. And I can't get over the nerve of her, buying Lukasz a Christmas gift! And the nerve to call the house and tell Michelle she needed Steve to come help her with something! I'm sorry to rant, but I am stunned at the nerve of that woman!

Interesting that Steve and Kellie's coworkers let them know they weren't comfortable with the affair.

This wasn't a love affair as far as I'm concerned. It was a cheap, disgusting little whorish fling. If Steve had taken his wife for walks on the beach at night, bought her coffee, sent her emails, maybe the flame Michelle was trying to ignite could have taken off.

It's pretty sad the things that were said in those emails about the extended family members. Steve left quite a legacy. I hope this story serves as a warning to others that are contemplating the same path that if you play with fire you might get burned. Steve and Kellie's whorish fling ruined many lives.

I hope Kellie is haunted all the days of her life for her part in this.:furious:
I was also shocked and enraged that Steve was mocking Michelle, to Kellie, of all people. She is an absolute lowlife manipulator.

I believe that Steve was using her for a piece of a$$. I mean, she sure gave it up easily. She actually meets him at the office just to have sex with him. Geez...Doesn't she have any higher standards than that?? Steve even lies to her about why he has to leave immediately after sex. Surely, Kellie can now see that she was played. That's the only satisfaction that I get from this whole thing.

I don't think that Kellie will have remorse. Maybe, she will see that she was used and not fool around with someone else.

In any case, I think that she will find a way to blame everyone else but herself.

I am just glad that Michelle was able to fight back a little. Fred's DNA under her one fingernail will convict him. For the life of me, I just can't understand why he would throw away his entire life. Then, again, I don't have the criminal mentality and would never consider murdering someone myself.

I agree, Nan, with everything you said.

Did you notice, in Kellie's police statements, how she prefaced her comments and justified her behavior, by bashing Michelle? How she had a sense of entitlement because, in her mind, Steve was leaving Michelle after the first of the year? She is despicable, and a lowlife, in my opinion.

Thanks for posting that, PFM. I went to the News Press website and had a hard time finding the link.

Below is the Sheriff's Department timeline:

TIMELINE

Timeline from the Lee County Sheriff's Office criminal investigation report:

DEC. 26

-Between 8 p.m. and 9 p.m. Steven Andrews meets Kellie Ballew for sex.

-Between 10:15 and 10:30 p.m. Kellie discovers her boyfriend Fred Cooper is not at home.

-Between 10:20 p.m. and 10:40 p.m. a man riding a yellow motorcycle that appears to be the same make and model as Cooper's is captured on a 7-Eleven video a half mile from the Andrewses' home.

-Between 11 p.m. and 11:15 p.m. a man in a camouflage jacket is seen near the Andrewses' home.

-Between 11:20 p.m. and 11:40 p.m. Steven Andrews is e-mailing Kellie Ballew before going to bed for the night.

-Between 11:30 and midnight a neighbor next door to the Andrewses' home hears a motorcycle start up and take off.

DEC. 27

-Between 2:55 a.m. and 3:01 a.m. Cooper's motorcycle is tracked by his gate entry code re-entering the gated community he lives in.

-Between 3:50 a.m. and 4:10 a.m. Cooper is seen opening Ballew's bedroom door and leaving a note in the adjoining bathroom.

-Between 6:50 a.m. and 7 a.m. a neighbor is leaving the community and sees a man in a camouflage coat walking near the Andrewses' home.

-Between 7 a.m. and 7:03 a.m. a 911 call with no voice on the other end is received at the sheriff's office. The dispatcher believes she can hear a small child repeating "mama."

-At approximately 7:05 a.m. the same neighbor drives out to the intersection of Eagle Pointe and Gateway Boulevard where he sees the same camouflage jacket-wearing man walking from the direction of the Andrewses' home across the street and across the field to the south.

-At about 7:10 a.m. Deputy Gaydash arrives.

Another thing that bothers me about Kellie is that she had to have known in her heart (mind, too?) that Fred killed Steve and Michelle. But she implicated Michelle as having possibly murdered Steve. Tried to make her sound crazy.

I am sorry, but if my marriage was falling apart, and I was trying desperately to save it as Michelle was, I would probably come off as a basket case too! Michelle was begging Steve to stay, and in his words to Kellie- "trying to be perfect".

Shame on Kellie. :slap:
