February 2011 - perjury charges dismissed:

Merritt ruled that because neither Trehy nor defense attorneys specifically asked Angelo if he took all of the photos on one day, the perjury charge was invalid.

During the trial, Trehy and Brown asked Angelo when he took the photos. Angelo said they were shot about two days after the boy ran off.

Trehy argued Tuesday that because authorities could prove the photos were in fact taken over a span of weeks rather than in one day, Angelo had perjured himself...

Citing historical cases that dealt with similar issues, Merritt sided with Brown and said the questions asked of Angelo about the photos during trial needed to be more precise for him to have committed perjury.

Two years after escaping what seemed like a neverending nightmare, Shang Han is now getting ready to graduate high school and move on to college...

Han explains he was rarely fed, and can't remember a time over his last two years of abuse, where he never felt full. He grew accustomed to sleeping on the cold tiles of the bathroom.

His body is covered in scars from the years of beatings at the hands of his aunt. He testified in court his aunt would use a wooden stick or hose to beat him repeatedly.

Adam entered foster care when he was 16 and spent one year in the state of Florida's foster care system. His case was very high profile and he faced many awkward situations at school due to the fact that his story was being told all over the media. He graduated high school in just two years to catch up and is now 21 and a sophomore in college. Adam is currently working toward his degree in aerospace engineering with a planned minor in Chinese and eventually Russian and German. Upon completion of his degree, Adam plans to become an officer in the United States Air Force and a fighter pilot. Adam is a hunter, a diver, a pilot…...and a foster child.
