GUILTY FL - Taylor Rose Williams, 5, found deceased, Jacksonville, 6 Nov 2019 *Arrest* #4

Her face looks utterly vacant. She has checked out. As much as I hope she'll plead guilty and spare us all the additional grief and heartache of a trial, I have the unfortunate feeling an insanity defense is going to be forthcoming. I hope I'm wrong.
It seems to me insanity plea is off the table. She knew right from wrong, she got rid of the evidence. Or tried too!
Maybe definition of insane is different in Florida. I'm in Texas.

Wonder if there's any permanent brain damage or defect from the OD? If so, how will this affect her defense?

That’s an interesting question. I hope whatever eval they did at the hospital stands.

Well, the Florida statute looks broad enough that a defense attorney could give it a shot:
Statutes & Constitution :View Statutes : Online Sunshine

Something like "At the time she believed she was saving the child from blah blah blah" who knows. I don't believe it and a jury hopefully wouldn't, either, but I can see it being attempted.

I agree. I think the way the charges are wrote she would have a rough time proving she was insane in April of 2019 while she was leaving her child home alone for hours, pulling her out of daycare, but getting that promotion. And then insane clear up to November when she lied to police. I bet you the Navy might have plenty to say about her sanity in light of her active service this entire time.

It's got to be hard to cherry pick charges to try to claim insanity. Bahaha.

Considering she went to her job and was promoted at one time... incompetence or outright insanity will be tough to prove.
Her relatives talked about her accomplishments in school as well.
I agree her attempt to OD might have affected her.
But Taylor died before that !!
Grrrr....

I read that the red is for high risk. E.g. suicide attempt, or someother medical issue and ambulance transport in emergency. She's watched more closely since she's in red. She may even in a different pod or something.

From Google:
The colour of a prisoner's uniform indicates his or her category. A clean prisoner uniform. Red prisoner uniforms are for high-risk. Orange prisoner uniforms are for medium-risk.

Mother of missing Florida girl transferred from hospital to jail

Sheriff: Missing girl's taken to jail after suicide attempt

The Florida Times-Union reports that the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office confirmed Thursday that 27-year-old Brianna Williams had been transferred to the Duval County jail following nine days at a local hospital being treated for an apparent overdose. She was charged last week with child neglect and providing false information to police.

Still no identification of Taylor rose?

Thanks @HayLouise and @rainynights for keeping her media thread updated.

As you know I live in Linden less than 5 miles where body was found and I’ve heard the same thing from a bunch of people who searched and helped with investigation- the way they go about identifying a body is to first see if they can figure out COD, then do an autopsy, and then go about getting DNA! <modsnip: no MSM to support information stated as fact> I really hope they bring her down! Especially if you can do this to your own child!!!

I might tap out till Dec. 4th:( My stomach is absolutely churning from reading some of this stuff.....my heart can’t take it...hearing what might have happened to lil Taylor is beyond devastating:( I realize it’s part of the investigation & trying to get evidence to keep BW locked up, but...I’m out for now.
My thoughts are only for lil baby doll Taylor ❤️
MOO:(

News outlets reported that there was animal activity, so mild or serious damage wouldn't be surprising, sadly.
