I no way condone the crime. It's horrific and my heart goes out to little Taylor. I just seek to get some grasp as to when this Mother started losing it.

My first husband passed from a similar misadventure with Acetaminophen. All it takes is one extra pill in 24 hours. By the time symptoms show up it is usually too late. It is very sad to see others still dying from this.
I'm so very sorry, SuziQ.

You can get a BA in 2 years, I believe. BS is 4 years.
both of those are typically 4 year degrees. I think you mean an Associates degree in 2 years.

Brianna is smart -- top of her class. Bright students in high school can take courses at the local community college and get dual hs/college credit as well as take AP classes in their high school and get college credit if they score high enough on exam. So Brianna could have entered college with 1 or 2 years of college credit under her belt, and could have also taken a heavy load and done summer school. She had a full scholarship, I believe

She must have been taking AP classes or college classes while in high school and/or doubling up on hours in college, because the time line wouldn't allow 4 years before joining Navy.

And why join Navy when you have a college degree? (of course, I asked the same question when my son enlisted -- it just didn't make sense to me)
I do not believe she graduated - IMO

Williams planned to attend Alabama A&M University and major in mechanical engineering; however, as mentioned above, she ended up enlisting in the Navy two years later.

My interpretation of this is that she did not finish college and enlisted in the Navy instead. could be wrong of course. but she was in marching band in high school - that's a lot of practice time in the fall - not a lot of time for dual enrollment and 3.6 doesn't represent to me a weighted GPA with AP courses - again, my opinion.

Do you know where you saw that footage? I'd like to see it.
Sorry, @ TTF14 I've been out. Got the video. Starts at 19 seconds. Tom Willis, Joy Purdy and Jim Piggott reporting.

In the pic with the pillow with her name on it, Taylor's pillow is decorated with Doc McStuffins characters. My little niece loved Doc McStuffins at 5 yo and I'm just picturing little Taylor pretending to be a nurse with Hallie, nursing little stuffed animals back to health while Chilly the Snowman and Lambie look on.

My daughter also loved her when she was around Taylor’s age. She had the Doc McStuffin dress up outfit fixing all her teddies. So sad.

But who is there that knows these things :( :(
Her godmother seemed the one most recently in her life. But she's pretty much shut down her FB. She did have some adorable photos up she recently took (in Spring, I think)

I hadn't thought of that and that may be the answer to the discrepancy. But it begs the same question for me: If she did graduate and get her degree why enlist? Not that there is anything wrong with that but someone who seemed to know more about the Navy than I stated that officers are college grads and petty officers are enlisted personnel. ie. Officers are commissioned and selected after graduation to go through officer training.

Did she always plan to go into Navy after college? Was that plan threatened when she wasn't selected for a commission and so she then enlisted? Or did she not graduate and so then enlist instead? Or did something happen at college which then caused her to decide on the Navy? Did she join the Navy to follow or to avoid the alleged controlling boyfriend mentioned by the college classmate who also described her as "weird"?

So many questions.

ETA @oviedo has given me some food for thought on this subject in post 224

she studied mechanical engineering according to the Heavy.com article - I just think there is no way she could have run through all those courses in high school and 2 years of college and obtained that degree IMO. I think along the same lines as your last paragraph - she was either running away from someone or she was failing (it is a super hard degree IMO) and the Navy was a good choice.

For me it was the Dylan Redwine case. I was sick in bed. Went bat chit crazy on a poster that I still feel badly about. So off I went to "camp" for a few days. It happens.
Yep, I've been there, done that. I went off to "camp" during the Haleigh Cummings case.

close I think, does anyone know if it will be televised or live streamed? I know BW will not be attending but still wondered if reporters will be there or if it will be closed door.

Oh friend, that case was tough to follow, many had very strong opinions and made one or more visits to camp on that one. I, myself, had to step away pretty early on. ;)
I went to camp a couple of times. Didn't like it!! :D

Agree. If she graduated and had her degree, she would have entered the Navy as an officer.

Florida is EST, so it should be over by now.

Personally I think it is a HIPPA violation to release her hospital info. She would have had to been given her rights and allowed it, or a physician thought it was in her best interest, which I don’t see here. Is it possible she has someone appointed on her behalf to do that?

From the faq: 483-Does HIPAA permit health care facilities to inform visitors about a patient’s location

Even when, due to emergency treatment circumstances or incapacity, the patient has not been provided an opportunity to express his or her preference about how, or if, the information may be disclosed, directory information about the patient may still be made available if doing so is in the individual’s best interest as determined in the professional judgment of the provider, and would not be inconsistent with any known preference previously expressed by the individual.

Or, is it possible it doesn’t mean a recovery but that she passed? I can’t imagine her recovering that fast.
If a patient is Baker Acted or if they're worried about her 'safety' due to this being a very inflammatory and high profile case, she'd be under confidential status. We would also do that for domestic abuse victims, etc.

Terry Randall, who leases the land next door, told News4Jax he saw crews searching on his land on Sunday and walked around with them as they looked for Taylor.

According to Randall, the remains were found about a half a mile away from his property on Landfill Road. He said the area is very remote and wooded.

He said someone would have to know where they were searching in order to find something out there.

Remains found wooded area in Alabama during search for Taylor Rose Williams

JSO said Wednesday they couldn't give an update on her condition but when she is moved, her housing status will be updated on her booking sheet.

SNIP
She was supposed to make a 1 p.m. first appearance on Wednesday but jail administrators say that isn't happening.

The dual enrollment doesn't take extra time -- you just drive over to the college a couple mornings a week instead of to the high school - - so, for instance, instead of taking Algebra II and Calculus and such in the high school, you take it at the junior college and get credit applied to both high school and college. I knew people in sports and marching band in my high school that did that.
I agree that 3.6 isn't noteworthy and probably doesn't reflect AP classes, but her high school was small, so may not have had AP courses to offer. She was a big fish/ small pond, and maybe university was overwhelming for her (altho her classmate did say she was smart). I do think she could have done dual enrollment in high school and finished college in 2 years.

She also took some time along the way for a marriage. Or did they marry? If so for his long. Did Taylor ever have a daddy in her home or life?
