Neighbors say the two had been fighting about everything under the sun for the past few weeks. Marshall, who lives in Lehigh Acres, was building on another property he owns in Bokeelia. The victim lived across the street from that lot.
Neighbor Jennifer Hammer said the victim, 65-year-old Ted Hubbell Jr. stopped by earlier this week, wanting advice on what to do about his neighbor, Marshall.
The two are described by some neighbors as polar opposites; Hubbell: A kind, quiet man. Marshall: Aggressive and angry... "I told [Hubbell], 'You need to be careful. This guy is crazy. He is not stable,'" said neighbor Gary Pierson.
