I’m not sure if I’d have told on a friend who said that or not. I remember 13-15. People said “I’m gonna kill him/her!” Hormones and puberty are raging. I would have *NEVER* thought someone would literally go through with it. Maybe if the person was disturbed, I would have said something. I’m just not sure. I was lucky enough to have good “normal” friends throughout school, so I don’t know how I would react. This is horrific. Absolutely horrific.

Yes. True. But every so often there is one that is a different breed with major issues.

FOX 13 News - Tampa Bay

Public access FB for Fox13 News in Tampa Bay FL with a partial video of today's presser; looks like the video starts late, already in progress, IMO. Speaking is SA R.J. Larizzo, run time 21:15. Lots of public comments.

How could someone like him not have a record? I wonder what else, if anything, he has gotten away with.

I wonder how his friends responded when he told them his plan.
I wonder if any pets have "mysteriously disappeared"... If he was really set on killing someone, which it looks like he really was, then it was only a matter of time.

Even as adults we say that. We don't actually mean it and we don't actually kill people. When I was in 9th grade, one of my classmates was in a really strange situation. His girlfriend, who was in 8th grade at the time, went to his house and told him that if he didn't ran away with her she would kill him and then herself. She had a knife and everything. No game plan though further than that. My classmate went with her but they didn't go very far, they stayed in the woods for a few hours until she realized she had no other option than going back home.

Very strange. The girl was quiet and I never thought she was violent or suicidal. I have no idea why she did it. They kept dating even after that incident. Our minds are a little weird. But all of this to say that, if that girl ever told me she was going to kill someone BEFORE that happened, I wouldn't have thought about it, but if she told me that AFTER that incident I would've 100% told an adult about it.

I can't really blame the parents either, I'm an adult now but I remember being 13 and 14 and being sneaky. If I wanted to lie, I would lie and my parents never knew. It's hard to control your kids when you're working, life keeps going and no parent can't control their kids 24/7, especially at 13, 14.

Also, I have 4 kids. From experience, teens are like a secret society. They will keep their mouths shut out of loyalty for their group. That’s just the way it is. MOO

Horrific!
"Larizza laid out the evidence against Fucci Thursday revealing the 13-year-old girl was stabbed a total of 114 times with at least 49 to her hands, arms and head that were defensive in nature."

"“Both witnesses indicated the defendant state on multiple occasions that he wanted to kill someone by stabbing them or slitting throat,” the document reads. ”The witness provided further testimony the defendant state if he were to kill someone, it was going to be planned, he would find a random person walking at night, drag them into woods, and stab them.”"

The state attorney said while it’s “disappointing” those statements were not reported, there is no evidence anyone else was involved in the violent homicide of the 13-year-old girl.

Charges upgraded to first degree murder, AF will be tried as an adult and he will be moved to an adult facility.

‘Horrific would be an understatement:’ Tristyn Bailey stabbed 114 times while fighting killer, prosecutors say

It's true. And it's not all just loyalty. Sometimes it's that sense of drama, of being involved in some drama. Some people never outgrow that need.

This^^^ is horrifying but I have seen much of it firsthand. I don't know what we can do. It is like a breakdown of society:

Teachers with years of experience say they’ve never seen the kind of “meltdowns” they’re seeing now. No one’s sure what’s behind it: food additives, environmental toxins, violent video games, trauma?

“The meltdowns are becoming extreme,” she said. “Now it’s total destruction of a classroom.”

Earlier this year, the Broward Teachers Union surveyed its members about school safety and released a disconcerting report, summarizing the anonymous responses of 1,884 educators.

Half said they had feared for their safety in the past year. Fifty-seven percent said violence disrupts the school day multiple times a day.

Inside the classrooms, teachers reported being stabbed with pencils or scissors. They’ve been struck with desks, chairs, fruit and water bottles. Students spit in their faces or mouths, or their coffee.

My husband is a veteran teacher as you know, and I was in classrooms for various reasons for decades. It is now a nightmare. I would home school mine if they were still school age. Giving IEPs and mainstreaming conduct/behavior disorders is denying FAPE for everyone else

Florida Teen Stabbed Cheerleader Tristyn Bailey 114 Times: Authorities

An article from the Daily Beast

I was flabbergasted with the number of stab wounds he inflicted. They need to throw the key away with him.
Wow, I had a feeling this kid was a psychopath based on his behavior in the beginning. Now I'm convinced. I never imagined it would be this bad, though. What a senseless, brutal murder. Did his parents notice any behavioral problems? Conduct Disorder? There had to be warning signs. Most kids don't go from normal to murder.

Tristyn must have suffered terribly as she fought for her life. Now her family has to live with the pain for the rest of their lives. I hope they can find some way to heal.

I wonder what he thought was going to happen? No one would know that he did it, even after stating that he wanted to?
And if the friends identified it as his knife, he must have carried it and showed it to them.

After hearing what I did today, there is no doubt in my mind his “selfie” in the police car was his “I told you I was going to” shout out to his friends. Scary to think a 14 year old is so evil.

That's why adults (parents, teachers) have to teach kids that they have to report it anytime someone says they are going to hurt someone, hurt themselves, or someone is hurting them.

Yeah, no. 114 stab wounds isn’t a “oops I didn’t realize she would die if I stabbed her” situation.

Plus, I can’t really blame the kids for not saying anything. If when I was 14 another kid told me “I’m going to kill someone” I don’t think I would’ve thought the other kid was being serious, I would’ve just said “yeah, right... you’re funny “.

Every day there are thousands of kids who do break that "loyalty," by telling a counselor that their friend is being molested; telling their parents that they think a friend is cutting themself; telling a teacher that a friend is talking about bringing a gun to school. Kids can be taught what to look for and when to tell.

114 times and no cuts on his hands?

that aside, i have the sad feeling that Tristyn was just testing the waters staying out too late and she thought she was safe with him walking along the road to wherever they were going that night. maybe she felt cool like her older sisters. like a big kid. then he tricked her into thinking he was an ok guy and she let her guard down. she might have even liked his attention that night. ack, what we don't know about the people around us is frightening. she should have just gotten in trouble for sneaking out that night - grounded and been lamenting that her Memorial Day Weekend was going to suck because she has to stay in....all the normal 13 year old stuff. none of us have the right to end another person's life. so sick and so sad :(

I totally agree and I said it from jump. This kid was an arrogant, cold hearted #%! that acted like this murder was a joke. He was proud of himself when he snapped that selfie in the squad car.

Imagine this---the kid just watched detectives going into his house, where he knows he has his bloody clothes and muddy shoes in his bedroom. He knows they are taking him to the Homicide Division to question him about a brutal murder that he just committed, in which all his friends knew he had been the last to hang out with the victim.

With all that going on---his first reaction is to snapchat a video selfie smirk and joke about his murder victim, 'peace out' ...he is truly a cold hearted callous shell of a human. JMO

Prosecutor Says Aiden Fucci Stabbed Tristyn Bailey 114 Times, Told Friends He Had Plan to Murder Within a Month

Tristyn Bailey was stabbed no fewer than 114 times by her assailant even as she lay dying — and knew she would die — earlier this month. [...]

[...] “The bottom line is that premeditation could be inferred, certainly, from just the sheer number of stab wounds that Tristyn Bailey had to suffer.”

“Every time that arm went back, and every time that arm went down,” Larizza continued on while motioning with one of his hands in the style of an over-the-shoulder stabbing, “that was premeditation. And it happened — if you times 114 by two that’s 228.”‘ [...]

“It was not [a] difficult decision to make that he should be charged as an adult” [...]

I. Just. Can't. Horrific doesn't even come close to what this poor girl experienced. Excruciating pain being caused by someone she thought was her "friend" with no way to stop it. Alone; in the dark woods, with a monster. No way to escape. He deserves much more than LWOP.

How could he? I'm in tears but also so angry I could do violence with my bare hands. Some of us have experienced the fear of dying. I remember thinking "this is how I'm going to die and it's going to be ugly".

Tristyn did suffer horrifically. Her 50 defensive wounds are the proof that she fought this mad manic with every inch of her fiber.

I suspected and mentioned that her killer had an illegal Buck knife when we discussed the fact that only a pocket knife was legal in FL without a permit. Now, I want to know who bought the camouflage Buck for him.

How dare this psychopath slash her over a hundred times! It's no wonder why the Sheriff wouldn't tell us how many horrific stab wounds Tristyn' body endured.

Now, we can better understand the two hours that separate the times he was seen on CCTV. I believe it was a slow, highly tortuous death because he planned it to be as painful as possible. JMHOO
