I think it is creepy to allow children into these gaming worlds, where it is so uncontrolled. I played Roblox a few times, and really worry about it.

Roblox is a gaming platform where all sorts of people use it even though it’s primarily aimed at kids. There are some seriously messed up people that pretend to be kids on it so they can talk to other kids

If this girl was living with foster parents, it's possible they didn't even know she was communicating with her bio mom through Roblox. They may have just thought she was online gaming. I recently was acquainted (through volunteerism) with a situation just like this. The bio mom was communicating with her daughter (who was in foster care) through Roblox. The foster parents were aware of it, but trying to limit it because it wasn't emotionally healthy for the child to have that much contact with her mother (who was saying negative things even though she was actually on board with the foster care placement).

Roblox is such a unicorn. Parents do know enough about it. One Parent used it as a "reward" and "punishment". Her child went SO crazy when she was going to take it away for two days as a punishment, he went into an absolute fury. Such a display of rage, she was actually frightened. Of a seven year old.

He told her he could stab her with a knife, and could play forever. And he was serious. That is scary.

So it is possible to set up parental control account---one can see whatever convos are happening and block whatever they want.

Anyone with a bit of internet skill can bypass them. It happened with my daughter and grandson. Not to mention Roblox is highly addictive.

It said she also was instructing the 10yr old on how to kill the adults who lived in the home with the 10yr old and the baby.

And the adults were the 10yr old's grandparents who were fostering the child? Or were they unrelated foster parents?

If they were grands, were they the parents of the defendant? Or could have been the defendant's parents-in-law.

I guess the 10yr old reported to the foster parents who reported to the police?

Would LE have been able to view the online messages or did they have to rely on the testimony of the child? (Not implying the child made anything up; I fully believe the defendant did all the horrifying things she was accused of!) I just didn't know if Roblox is a platform that saves records of texts or not.

You are supposed to be able to go in through the chat feature and read the texts, I was told.
