I am really bothered by the fact that this vehicle was sitting for 3 weeks behind a dunken donuts, the busiest cross through to the drive through, no parking over night, a gas station etc.. the police must never drive through here EVER. I live near this and it really bothers me that the family was not putting out a missing person report, the car was just sitting there? What she climbed in the back of her car and passed away, some reports say she was just wearing a bra. This location is a known meeting spot for locals to share car ride, ie. car pool, drop off an pick up to go out at night because the drive to downtown bradento and Sarasota are so far and this woman lived in Myakka. BRADENTON, Fla. (WWSB) - Deputies say the body of a woman found behind a Dunkin Donuts in Lakewood Ranch has been identified.

Kendra Lee Parsick, 38, has been identified as the woman whose body was found in a red SUV that had been in the parking lot behind the business located on the 14400 block of State Road 70 in Lakewood Ranch for around three weeks.

It appears from her FB page that she may have been living on Hilton Head Island, SC previously, and worked as a dental assistant. She may originally be from Bradenton, where it appears her mother is living, and is perhaps divorced. Can't tell from her page whether her kids were living with her or not.

I don't think she was ever reported missing. No local media coverage for her.

PS...There will be minimal news coverage of this case, if at all. Lakewood Ranch where she was found, would not like any coverage that would put the community in any negative spotlight.

She lived with her parents, she had children, she had a job. She likely also had friends. This is not a homeless person with no connections to anyone.

Why on earth was there not immediate concern when she failed to answer calls from her son, when she failed to return home to care for her kids, when she failed to show up to/from work? Even three weeks later and still no one had reported her missing?

That is a little out of the ordinary to say the least.

I totally agree.
The MCSO spokesman said that it was not unusual for her to leave for days with no contact. Yet, her body may have been there in the car for weeks on end.
Was she staying with a boyfriend on these "days away"? Or was she living a secret lifestyle?
Just so odd...

The younger two children (ages 12 & 14) must live somewhere else (not with her). Maybe out of state with Dad? I get that her parents gave her space and privacy but after 3 days, and her employer contacting them, unanswered calls/texts, they still didn't report her missing? This seems really odd to me. Yes, this plaza is in the high rent district, and they surely wouldn't want to incite panic, but seriously? No one reported her missing???

I always think family that don't report family members missing as being pretty crappy and disconnected family. But when the family member lives with you with her children? Nope. Not buying what they are selling.

Looked to see her record, just in case there's something there.
Found traffic citations, foreclosure (2017), vacate judgement, with one dismissed animal cruelty charge.
Haven't found a divorce yet...
Sounds like definite recent financial worries, and some irregular behavior.

The parents probably were worried about her but it sounds as if the daughter insisted on her privacy so maybe they didn’t want to make her mad when she returned home.

I think when you have children you don't have the right to a level of privacy that implies you don't have to return home or take care of your kids and no one can expect you to. If that's the level of behavior that they were dealing with I'm going to assume some weird stuff was going on. :/

That doesn't make any sense to me. He called the police himself, he had more than enough time to retrieve a key if he didn't want it found.

My family is dealing w/ some issues that involve a sister leaving for days at a time. She communicates by text from apps. Her husband called to let me know her vehicle was at a convenience store and she wouldnt come home. The car was damaged. And shes MIA. Sooo, it dawned on me has any body put eyes on her or heard her voice?
It's easy to assume messages are from the account holder. Interestingly, the husband told me he has all her passwords amd watches her messages.
I mentioned all that to say: IMOO, her family may have thought they were communicating with her all that time and werent or another scenario was happening we aren't privy that kept them from filing a missing report. We just dont know. Things happen nobody assumes their 38 yr old daughter is dead.

Lighter note: My boyfriend asked me if I was closing my sisters case now, ...I clearly spend too much time here. But that was a valid concern.

Wish they would share the cause of death... I personally knew Kendra she was like a motherly figure to me. Nobody’s talks about it anymore but I can’t seem to get it to leave my mind.

Hii! Thank you, I’m very close with her younger son and daughter. I’ve gone to school with them for forever, I’ve been to the families’ home a few times. The last time I saw Ms. Parsick was before her and Scot, her ex husband split. I’m not sure if they formally divorced or they just split. After that I know she moved to Florida. (Before this she lived in South Carolina, where I know them from) I hadn’t heard or seen anything else until my mom told me the news her body was found. Everyone around our town suspected It was an overdose or something. After all Kendra had just kinda gone off the rails and moved to Florida. I hasn’t even known she had another son, I just found out by reading this chain. Anyways, hope some of that helps..
