So what was the defense's point of getting TJ to go over his story again and then just letting him go until another time? Are they now going to go over what he said today against his interviews and depositions to try to impeach him at a later time? Pretty sure details from 4 years ago would be a little more foggy today. Were they not prepared to catch possible discrepancies today? :waitasec:

Kimberly Williams, Tyshawn Jackson's mother, is now on the stand as court resumes

Williams said her son and Toledo spent a lot of time together, including going back and forth to school

She said she usually goes to bed around 9:30 or 10. She said she did not hear anything the night of Oct. 22, 2013

She said she has a habit of getting up in middle of night to get a snack. she said that night she got up at about 2 a.m. checked on her son

Williams said her son Tyshawn Jackson was in bed when she checked around 2 a.m. on Oct. 23, 2013

She said she went on her lunch break at 10:30 and saw that she had several missed calls from her son. Jackson was crying and was scared

Williams said her son was scared and wanted to speak to police. She told him to wait until Toledo was in custody

Will asked Williams if she knew why her son had not mentioned the dumpster at first.

"He said he was nervous he didn't know if anybody was going to come back after him or anything if he gave more information," Williams said

Will refers to Williams' statement to police nearly four years ago. She did not mention the Saturn in that statement.

***note: Ms Williams said today that she saw the Saturn in the driveway in the morning when she was up getting ready/leaving for work. She did not mention that to the police 4 years ago. She admitted when questioned that she could be mistaken about that. She did see it there when she left work early to come home and see what was happening with her son.

Deen now cross examining Williams. She said she did not check on her son at 5 a.m. when she woke up to get ready for work.

Deen asked if Jackson had left in the night after she checked on him between 2 and 2:30 she would not know. she said she would not.

He just told me that Luis was acting strange and Luis said he snapped. I told him to stay in the house don't talk to anybody" Williams said

She said she told Jackson to lock the door and don't talk to anybody

Williams said she left the house that morning about 6:30 and 6:40. She said Jackson was not home at the time.

Kortnie Campbell is now on the stand. She is Tyshawn Jackson's girlfriend.

Witness getting a bit hostile on cross, MOO, when asked to speak into the microphone she replied, "I can scream at you if you want me to." Lol.

This gal says she "almost" had an affair with Toledo but he refused. He did kiss her outside Jackson's home once. She apparently was in school with both Toledo and Jackson.
