Hmmm, am I reading this wrong? How did this cat have a microchip tying her to her owner if he only had her for 'within an hour'? :waitasec:

The cat went missing from the Naples, Fla., area in June, disappearing within an hour after Johns adopted the stray.

Last month, a woman in a Denver suburb noticed him hanging around as she walked her dog and brought him to the shelter. A microchip linked the cat to Johns.

My cat came with a microchip, from the shelter, so if I had lost him on the way home, he would have been linked to me. They are all chipped now at the shelter, at least in NM.
