I love this new grill! Seriously, best thing I have bought this year! And so easy to clean! I was on the fence about it for awhile, because it is expensive, for me, but it went on sale, down to $150, so I decided to get it. Love it!

You are going to love it! Especially on ripe melon! And perfect to rim bloody Mary glassed or margaritas.
(SBM)
Last weekend I made margaritas with jalapeno tequila and rimmed the glasses with Tajin and paper thin slices of jalapeno. So, so good on a hot Texas day.

When you get zucchini in abundance, make quiche. 2 with gluten free crusts and 1 regular. I add whatever type cheese I have on hand. Today’s was white American and Colby Jack. I also add a bit of diced tomato.

Also when you get an abundance of strawberries, then you go to the produce market and you find strawberries for $1/qt, you make Strawberry Bread. Gluten Free too.

LOL! Did you like it? :p

So, of course, now I am cooking every single meal in my new Ninja Grill! Last night, it was fajitas. I love that thing, put food in there, push a button, come back later, done.

Dont Mickey, I cant be trusted :D.

Havent tried the Tajin yet because it just arrived and we ate already (7pm ish here). I'm thinking of giving it a try in my guaca-nnaise... Avocado mashed with lemon or lime juice, fresh chilli, coriander (cant remember what you call that) and mixed with mayo. Adding the Tajin instead of seasalt. Reckon it will be v good. Watch this space..

I’ve got to check that out. I’m not a good cook and need something simple to use and makes things tasty.

Re: Tuscan Lemon Chicken on Monday. After all the time and effort spent on what should have been an amazing chicken dinner, the bird itself wasn't good :( Breast meat was fine, but leg, thigh, and wing meat was mostly gristle and basically inedible. From now on, we will only buy Bell & Evans chicken and chicken parts because they are high quality and worth the expense. We started spending extra for Bell & Evans boneless/skinless chicken breasts because similar chicken product that Nino's featured was not up to par. After several disappointing chicken meals, we spoke to a butcher who was aware of the deteriorating quality of the vendor's chicken as we were not the only customers who complained. We don't know whether or not Nino's changed poultry vendors because we've been buying Bell & Evans since. Whole Amish chickens were featured last week and that was the only reason that we got it. Lesson learned. I was able to repurpose breast meat in a delicious chicken salad with celery, dried cherries, walnuts with Dijon mustard/mayo dressing.

Are they free range Bette? I'm v fussy and only buy free range organic chicken. Even then I only like the white meat

Anything that makes cooking easier is it. My husband was having problems with his dentures, I am like..
Yes, I can just put everything in the Vitamix! He didn't like that idea. Dang it.

@HongKongPhooey Bell and Evans have two different types of chicken. The all-natural/RWA (raised without antibiotics) feed is not organic. Both are free-roaming within their barns, but the organic chickens are given access to the outdoors and free-range.

I sell several different types of poultry at our facility, I will admit Bell and Evans is my most expensive, but it is my favorite.

For me, I'd rather pay more and eat it less really. I can be funny about meat though generally. Havent eaten lamb since a visit to Wales years ago (seeing them playing in the fields!) and I couldnt eat duck, or venison. Anything that appeared in Bambi is out :D

Mickey, I've been reading here about your new grill and getting interested. We live in hot, humid NC, and DH, who used to grill outside often, now rarely wants to do it. I'm not eager to sit outside tending the grill on sticky days either. I'm wondering if DH would like to have a grill like yours.

Is your grill this one?
Ninja® Foodi™ 5-in-1 Indoor Grill with 4-Quart Air Fryer

There's also an XL one, more $$. But it's just the two of us, normally.

I have the 5 in 1 Ninja Foodi Grill, and so far, I totally love it. (Okay, I unpacked it Monday, used it Monday and Wednesday). I made hamburgers (black bean for me) on Monday. I put a probe in the burger, set it for medium rare, and pushed button, then, I went and watched the news, a little bit later, the machine beeped, and everything was perfectly cooked. Fantastic! Zero smoke!

Okay. It doesn't taste like a charcoal grilled burger, but considering all I had to do was put food in, and press a button, that was pretty great.

I liked the fajitas last night, I used no oil, steak, onions, peppers, Tajin, same thing, put food in, pressed a button, went and took a shower, then, magically, 20 minutes later, the food was perfectly done. I love this thing. I am doing shrimp tomorrow.

Half of my quiches is gone already. That came out so good. I have been in the mood for fried zucchini with Ranch dressing. I still have a lot of slices left. I'm going to try to "oven fry" them.

Crispy Fried Zucchini - Spend With Pennies

Oven-Fried: If baking in the oven without oil, simply place the coins in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and spray with cooking spray. Bake for 18 to 20 minutes in an oven preheated to 400°F degrees.

DH and I discussed this over dinner (salmon steak with honey and white wine), rice, and salad). He figures if I buy the grill, it will be my device, not his! Hmmm. The best thing about him grilling is that I just have to deal with the sides.

Do you do anything with the blossoms?

I don't grow zucchini so I don't have access to the blossoms. My produce comes from the local food bank's distributions. I've heard you can eat them tho but I doubt I could tolerate them.
