The Super Bowl is in one week!! My beloved Matthew Stafford is the quarterback for the Rams and I will be cheering him on.
What is everyone planning for food? We will most likely have one or two other couples over to watch the game. I am looking for some ideas!

Totally make those brownies! 27 minutes is perfect. Fudgey and yum! They were easy, and better than a mix.

We will probably have wings and pasta salad.

As mentioned above, I'm going to roast Prime Rib and serve with mashed potatoes, gravy, a salad, Yorkshire pudding and some type of dessert (maybe mickey's brownies without nuts). Appetizers will be Hormel Chili Cheese dip with tortilla chips and this amazing ham & cheese puff pastry: Ham and Cheese in Puff Pastry Recipe | Ina Garten | Food Network

I love brownies. I may put them on the menu. We like wings, too. I make some amazing Buffalo Cauliflower wings.

Now I do remember you posting your menu, @BetteDavisEyes. It sounds good. And fancy!! I am going to go for some Buffalo Cauliflower wings. I need to think about a main course though.

I am not a sports fan. But, I'm for the Puppy Bowl, if I can find it online, as I don't have cable, just internet. All the small dogs at the shelter are on medical care so there's no furbaby for me to foster right now. But, if one comes up, I'll share my Cheez-Its as always. LOL!

Hey Everyone! ;)

Sooooo... I have been a member for kinda a long time.
My primary reason for being a member is a handful of cases that I follow avidly.
As embarrassing as it is to admit- until a couple of days ago, I had NO idea that there was a more social aspect to this group!
It is SO NICE to see people exchanging ideas and recipes and friendships.
I love it because it puts whatever differences anyone has on the back burner.
This makes me wonder if now I can seriously minimize my time on other SM accounts!
I am excited , and look forward to getting to know others and also to score some recipes and cooking ideas!

Truth be told, I don't care for football or basketball. I like hockey and baseball and enjoy going to both. I've only been to two pro football games in my life: Once when I danced in the halftime show in 1967 when the Detroit Lions played at the old Tiger Stadium. The other time was one of the early seasons after the new Ford Field opened, and someone gave us tickets. I went to a few Michigan games in college but could have easily gone to the library to study or worked a shift in the dorm office :D I do enjoy figure skating, tennis, horse racing, swimming and diving.

Welcome! This is a fun thread. I'm thinking of trying the brownies @mickey2942 posted above.

I'm hoping friends of ours with a huge TV will invite us over to watch the Super Bowl. We will be happy to take food, including brownies. :)

So, for us tonight , I am making a super easy dinner!
I am doing Garlic chicken pizza.
There are 5 of us here, and 3 of us don't really eat meat..so , I guess ours will be a creamy garlic pizza.
You can use store bought bread dough- thawed and stretched or rolled out OR
you can use a ready made wood fried pizza crust

The sauce is easy!
Olive oil and garlic lightly sauteed.
Add a couple tablespoons of flour.
Them add about 1 and a half cups of half and half, thicken it up. Turn off pan.
Throw in a handful of Parmesan and stir.

Then just saute toppings separate- get creative!
We like green onion , mushrooms...and for 2 of my family members chicken.

Spread your sauce on the crust, throw on some mozzarella slices and your toppings.
It only takes a few minutes to bake !

That sounds really good. Mushrooms for me.

I just ordered this brownie pan from Home Depot, and it should be delivered in a couple days.

Sweet! I was looking at Gotham Steel for something else the other day. Have you used GS before?

No, but Home Depot is carrying a lot of pieces now and the reviews are very good.

Nice. I had a Chicago Metallic pan like that, it was so nice, my daughter stole it. Maybe I should get one, and hide it.

I was running out of ideas for dinner with everyone home, so decided to start making recipes from the web; blogger websites, tiktok, facebook. Pretty impressed with ones I have made.
