Hey Everyone! ;)

Sooooo... I have been a member for kinda a long time.
My primary reason for being a member is a handful of cases that I follow avidly.
As embarrassing as it is to admit- until a couple of days ago, I had NO idea that there was a more social aspect to this group!
It is SO NICE to see people exchanging ideas and recipes and friendships.
I love it because it puts whatever differences anyone has on the back burner.

This makes me wonder if now I can seriously minimize my time on other SM accounts!
I am excited , and look forward to getting to know others and also to score some recipes and cooking ideas!

There have always been social discussions in the private forums (members only - not available for public viewing) here at Websleuths, but this particular forum and the grocery shopping forum have been especially helpful and welcome during the pandemic. When many of us were trying to consolidate trips to supermarkets, this forum offered guidance and suggestions for how to make the most of grocery store visits. Since most of us weren't able to dine at restaurants and found ourselves having to cook more at home, it was refreshing to get ideas and recipes from other members. I've appreciated all of the contributions and the positive, upbeat tenor of the thread, and I'm sure you will, too.

Looks like an extra large ice cube tray...lol

Seriously, it's about time someone came out w/something like that for brownies.
That is exactly what I thought. Then I thought that the Home Depot was an error. My brain couldn’t compute why someone would buy a big ice cube tray from Home Depot. LOL!

Home Depot has a variety of kitchen pans and dishes. All the ones I have from there are extremely nice.

Quoting my own post because I wasn’t able to edit it.

That looks like some of the vintage bowls from back in the 40’s and 50’s. Nice ! Had no idea HD sold bowls and things.

Is that stuff edible? I keep wanting to try it but can’t quite go there. I hate to waste food, as I’m rather picky about my pizza, lol.

Awhile back (pre covid) I used to make homemade pizzas every Friday. Some sourdough crusts and some cauliflower crusts. I learned the cauliflower crusts were way more involved. This was before you could find the riced cauliflower in the freezer case. I made them using fresh cauliflower. Have to say they were good though.

It was really good. My husband is the ultimate in "picky" for pizza. He hates all vegetables except peppers and onions. And I am almost vegetarian. How we have managed 15 years...:p

Anyway, he loved it. Then he was all mad. LOL.

Pretty much feeling like a slug after a very long day in Tampa yesterday. Steroids + broken sleep = no food prep. I thought anyway.

I’m poking in all the cabinets trying to find something appealing to eat. I decided I’d make chocolate fudge for dessert this week. All the ingredients were here and the kitchen WAS clean. LOL!

Now I have to wait hours for it to firm up. It called for a 9” x 13” pan. But I stuck it in my 10 x 10” pan instead. I cut the pieces really tiny anyway. I’ll pack it in small bags and pass out to kiddos & friends too.

So I wanted tomato soup again. This time I added powdered onion and garlic and dried chopped basil. I added half a small Roma tomato too. I used whole milk. It was good. I dipped my grilled cheese in it. I had fudge for dessert. Yum.

It was only 65 degrees so comfort food was calling me. It’s going to be 46 degrees in the morning. I am getting tired again so an early bedtime for me tonight.

Tomato soup and grilled cheese on homemade sourdough is my go to for cold weather.

We had cream chipped beef on toast for breakfast last weekend. We haven't been able to get the small jars in years, so I usually split the larger jar in half and we have it two weeks in a row. That won't work this time - husband has been snagging slices and there are only a few left. I can't imagine eating it straight up! It's so high in sodium that we don't do it very often, and I rinse before I use it. My husband is the one that's supposed to be watching his sodium, too. Grrrrrr

I'm feeling lazy and don't feel like cooking dinner after work. I will, but it'll be easy. I'm going to make burger patties with cheese. Hubby will eat his dipped in Heinz 57, I will make me a patty melt on rye bread. I'll do baked steak fries. He'll dip his in sour cream, I'll sprinkle mine with cajun seasoning. I think I can manage that. :)

I cannot eat dairy and so during my pandemic pantry gathering, I found a dairy free Alfredo sauce. It was made by Primal Kitchen. Tonight I will put some fresh asparagus under the broiler. Boil up some fettuccine and grill up some Beyond Sausage. Dinner is served!!
