"For subscriber's only" article addresses the rising cost of eggs due to bird flu. About 1/3 of the Michigan chicken population succumbed to bird flu in the last year or were euthanized. All Michigan eggs will be cage-free in the future.
Are you being affected by high egg prices where you live? $4+ for a dozen eggs in these parts - nothing fancy, just regular eggs. Free-range, extra-large, brown, Eggland's Best, etc. prices higher.
