Thanks to whoever shared the website link. I found they ship to the UK and just ordered the Winter Wonderland tin.

With shipping and tax, it's quite pricey (just under £50) but worth it for a bit of fun and something different.

Hi @HongKongPhooey, one of my favourite shops is Harts of Stur (http://www.hartsofstur.com/brands/nordic-ware) and they carry Nordic Ware if you want some more in the future. Sorry I didn’t see your post earlier to point you in their direction.
Thanks Ellie, I think I'll be having some fun with this.

I cant share the link unfortunately (my ipad is glitchy sometimes) but attached is a Nigella recipe that I've made a few times before. I bought the alpine bundt tin some years ago, when the recipe first came out. The link address is on the picture if anyone wants to see the recipe.

I saw this link on my morning news rounds and thought of this thread :D
Tupperware Profits Soar as Pandemic Shut-Ins Store Leftovers
More at link https://www.nbcboston.com/news/busi...as-pandemic-shut-ins-store-leftovers/2220005/
Restaurant pain has turned into Tupperware's gain with millions of people in a pandemic opening cookbooks again and looking for solutions to leftovers. They've found it again in Tupperware, suddenly an “it brand" five decades after what seemed to be its glory days.

I do enjoy y’all’s food chat very much. Thanks :D

Breakfast Casserole just came out of the oven and smells so good! I’ve posted the recipe before but in case you missed it, it is below. It was a cool 75 degrees this morning here in SWFL.

Spray a 9” x 13” glass baking dish with cooking spray.
Line it with flat tater tots (Ore Ida Crispy Crowns).
Mix together 14-18 eggs or use a 32 oz carton of egg mix.
Add to the eggs:
2 cups of grated cheese (any kind)
2 cups of diced veggies (tomato & spinach is my favorite)
1 cup cooked crumbled sausage (Jimmy Dean turkey sausage)

Stir gently to blend then pour over tater tots. Bake at 350 deg about 45-50 min until the edges are lightly browned and the center is almost set.

The cranberry-orange bread sounds great, especially when baked in that beautiful pan!

My late mother would make a molded cranberry-orange salad for the holidays, usually with pecans and grape halves in it, sometimes chopped apple. She used an old-fashioned food grinder to grind the fresh cranberries and the unpeeled orange. This was pre-food processor times. She used individual molds so we each had our own, served on lettuce on a small plate. Very tasty and refreshing!

I made it a couple times but thought it was too much work and messy to make. A food processor would make it much easier.

This is pretty close to what she made:
Molded Cranberry-Orange Salad

Wow! That salad looks delicious! And it would be beautiful in any Nordic Ware pan. This is getting me in the mood for the holidays. Such as they will be this year.

Ha! As a southerner, we use other stuff (yes, we are made fun of if you google such, but ok by me! :p:D:p:D I have so many cottage cheese and sour creme and other containers I reuse now to give leftovers and share stuff with neighbors.) The downside, they aren't clear so I label with blue painting tape on the lid what is inside and date that it was done/frozen. Works for me!

I just finished reading the Tupperware article that was was featured in today's Detroit News :D The only Tupperware that I owned was a nesting bowl set (4) with lids.

I don't get alerts for pages as I have too many that I follow. Instead, when I log in each day I click to one page of mine of "watched threads" and can view them all and choose! And then right click and open new tabs to view those I'm interested in (too many old cases which nothing going on, and months/years of posts I don't follow regularly)

I cannot even imagine getting alerts and how that works. Glad we all have available what works best for each of us!

I don't get alerts and have never used "watched threads" feature. When I log in, I click on "My Content" and can see my posts starting with most recent.

Cranberry Santa Loaf

This is the cranberry bread I make.

Thanks for this recipe. I will definitely make it during the holidays. I would probably use fresh cranberries. As soon as I see them at Nino's, I will buy several bags and store them in the freezer.

Did you assemble the casserole this morning, or do you let it set overnight in the fridge? When I make stratas, I usually make them the night before to let the bottom layer (bagels, bread, English muffins, potatoes, etc.) soak up the custard. The best one I ever made was a bagel, lox, onion, tomato, cream cheese version - the components of a typical bagel & lox plate. "Breakfast" casseroles are great for any meal :)

I love tater tot breakfast casseroles, and have used variations on the recipe to use up leftover vegetables and cheeses.

My current favorite uses sautéed onions and garlic layered on top of the tater tots, then 2 cups (total) of chopped red bell peppers and tomatoes. Then I use 3 cups of shredded Mexican cheese blend and 12 beaten eggs. I stir a tablespoon (or more) of hot sauce into the mix.

After baking I snip some green onions on top.

I serve this one with sour cream and fresh salsa on the side.

Also, I can’t always find the Ore Ida Crispy Crowns do I usually use regular Ore Ida tater tots, and they work fine. I have tried some store brand tater tots and they tend to fall apart so I prefer Ore Ida.

Ore Ida Mini Tater Tots work well too. When my oldest was at UVI, she couldn’t get tater tots. She’d buy hash brown patties and break them up in pieces.

A quick dip or dressing that I like is simple: mix Hidden Valley Ranch dressing with either Chipotle Tabasco sauce or canned chipotle peppers in adobo sauce.

I use it as a dressing for taco salads and southwestern salads, and a dip for chips and veggies. It is also good served with tater tot casserole.

No, I never assemble it in advance. It’s so easy to make, I cook it immediately. We refrigerate it and it generally doesn’t last more than 3 days. If we need a high protein snack, we’ll heat up a square.

My oldest uses onion, garlic and red pepper in hers. I’ve made it with a little chopped broccoli too. It’s a great “finish up the leftovers” type dish.

I have used raw potatoes, grated and lightly cooked, like half-cooked hash browns. This is actually my favorite way to make a breakfast casserole but the shortcut of using tater tots is much quicker. If I am making it for a special occasion I will take the time to start with raw potatoes.
