I've been racking my brain trying to figure the purpose of the "Defense Expert Witnesses" dream-team that aren't even on the defense's witness list. Dr. Henry Lee... Kobilinski... Werner Spitz... Kathy Reichs... Why are these people involved if they aren't even scheduled to testify? Light is slowly dawning on MarbleHead... All high-profile, frequent television guests that will draw (more) attention to this case. And, of course, guess who was crowing about how great this crew is, just two days after Caylee's remains were found? From the Hartford Courant:

"Lead counsel Jose Baez is playing to win, his spokesman Todd Black said. "As you can see, he's been putting together a tremendous team," Black said."

Is there a chance that the reason there has been no funeral for poor Caylee, is because controversy is good for business?:furious:

MOO

Precisely!! Drag it out. Hype it up. Spin, spin, spin.

You are exactly right, all of these experts are on the team yet none are identified to testify. Now, I am sure that JB can ammend his witness list but this all makes sense when you think of the entertainment deal, media rights, TB aka GC, etc.

There is a strong smell of generating future revenue by elevating the trial of the century into something bigger than OJ via ill advising KC on pleading out.

The irony will be the appeals after KC is found guilty.

:)

Is the former FBI agent looking into the source of the unlimited funding for Gil's services - ie, the "Connecticut family"?

I too think it mighty strange that a phone number registered to Mrs Baez is being used by a PR firm that claims to have no connection (except when it claims there is a connection).

Geez, I almost feel like a game of Baghdad Bob is being played.

Think of them more as a "cast" and it all makes sense. :)

Ere Go...Thank you, I totally get it now :) You could have warned me that the cheap-azz Target goggles part was coming up, though :blowkiss:

Lol, I admit the windshield- size white sunglasses she wore while out on bond had my wife shrieking as she watched them come down the belt at target on the video and recognized she had been wearing them to JB office.

Went like this..
Me: Why cant you ever buy sunglasses at Target, they obviously carry them.
Mrs. Drivenon: Blllllllleeepppp. Not suitable for posting.

Sold out of rose colored glasses.

An earlier post mentioned "cast" ..... GC, experts, etc...

I don't think I've seen a cast of characters like this since the last really good crime family trial in NYC.

The Urban Legends have already been cast...

Duh, I know! When the WS's figured this out MONTHS ago, they gave the media a heads up.

Why, oh why has it taken this long to be reported?
I've been thinking about this all night. FOX I can understand, there may be a conflict with their own. Even that doesn't sit right with me. I find it hard to believe that one of their reporters who's a buddy with Mr. B. has swallowed all of his ethical responsibility, but that very well may be the case. Sad to think.

I think he has them all competing for the big job right now... See who can come up with the best BS theory on how there is no way his client could have done this because....(insert bs) They are likely all fighting like bear eat bear trying to win the expert witness title.

I googled...

http://www.bailyes.com/faq.htm

What if someone believes that the money to be used to bail someone out is the product of criminal activity?

The judge or a magistrate may stay the release of a defendant if a peace officer or prosecutor files a sworn declaration demonstrating probable cause to believe the source of the consideration, etc. was feloniously obtained, or the judge or magistrate has probable cause to believe the source was feloniously obtained. This order is commonly known as a Nebbia Hearing or Bail Sufficiency Hearing. If probable cause exists, the defendant then bears the burden by a preponderance of evidence to prove that no part of the source was so obtained. A defendant who prevails must be released on issuance of a bail bond as specified.
How would this relate now...after bond has been revoked?

ITA. She hasn't been forgotten by anyone!

The sooner all these foolios are exposed, the sooner Caylee will be seeing justice.

Kinda sorta, with a wide girth..

In theory: KC is "bondable", meaning if she were not charged with a capital crime, is convicted on lesser inclusions or accepts a plea deal and someone lost her mind and let her out pending sentencing, she has a standing bond.

Ere Go....

A nebbia hearing, would allow the prosecution to identify the source of the funds securing the bond, as was posted via promissary note (alleged) by the parents.. Any documents showing Casey's income or viability would be subject to said hearing..

Ere Go...

If Baez is getting paid elsewhere, via Entertainment deals. Gil's I want to look less like Andy Kaufman fund or other, WE WILL KNOW ABOUT IT..

Ere Go...

The Bar steps in, on 4.1 issue and does their business, uncovers conflict or ineffectiveness of counsel, he gets tossed and KC gets a real lawyer who tells her what the eff is going to happen, gets her to plea and she sails up the river sans oversized white cheap-azz Target goggles. The End

Ere Go...

Nothing more to say, just like typing Ere Go.
Shouldn't this have been done earlier? Who in their right mind would step forward to do it now? Wouldn't there have to be an impetus to get this started, in other words a VERY good reason for a proceeding like this?

Ok...I have to go to the basement now (or the rant thread). I'm beginning to feel somehow all this cr*p is conneted to Caylee not being released for burial.
