ya know, Jose really is not a very bright man.

See how well it works?

:)

Is the former FBI agent looking into the source of the unlimited funding for Gil's services - ie, the "Connecticut family"?

I too think it mighty strange that a phone number registered to Mrs Baez is being used by a PR firm that claims to have no connection (except when it claims there is a connection).

I have to wonder if the SA's are just shaking their heads in awe at the continued mess JB brings to this case. Clearly there IS a connection from JB to GC (TB) and none of this seems kosher to me!

LOL, actually he just tells people that. His relationship is with Tremarco, he only met NS on this case.

Really? How do you KNOW that if you don't mind my asking.

I certainly hope that we do hear who that Connecticut family is!

Yes, it really is strange about the Mrs. Baez connection. Wonder what her name was before she and Jose hooked up?

I am just plain nosey - I want to know!

So if some of this stuff about Todd Black is true ....... does it give Casey a right to appeal due to the character of the law office representing her?

If true, should the state step in now .... to avoid this issue?

Yes, and LP jumped off the "crazy train" as soon as the family started showing their true colors.

Didn't CA ask LP to remove himself when he withdrew KC's bond, after the FBI report came back + for human decomp & hair w/death band belonging to either KC or Caylee?

We know he said KC kicked him out of her house when he said he didn't want to hear anymore Zani the Nanny stories.

I'll never forget the look on his face when he was interviewed following the FBI report. He had aged several years in those few days while KC was bonded out. He thought the maternal bond was too strong for a mother to harm her own child. He's been trying to make sense of it ever since.

Absolutely. They should file a motion for a Nebbia Hearing asap.

snipped from above:

The Nebbia hearing, largely a hearing to determine a lawful source of bond funds, is wrought with opportunities to gather information on the defendant’s income. The Prosecutors in this case, should they be granted their motion, are in a position of opportunity to educate the court about the defendant.

I googled...

What if someone believes that the money to be used to bail someone out is the product of criminal activity?

The judge or a magistrate may stay the release of a defendant if a peace officer or prosecutor files a sworn declaration demonstrating probable cause to believe the source of the consideration, etc. was feloniously obtained, or the judge or magistrate has probable cause to believe the source was feloniously obtained. This order is commonly known as a Nebbia Hearing or Bail Sufficiency Hearing. If probable cause exists, the defendant then bears the burden by a preponderance of evidence to prove that no part of the source was so obtained. A defendant who prevails must be released on issuance of a bail bond as specified.
