Former Friends Take Lie Detector Tests!

  • #61
Because if they did and it came out that they were lying they would just say that LE is making it up, so what would the point be? It is everybody elses fault!
Frankly before this is over, I fully expect Cindy to blame Caylee for all this, I have no doubt she'd sacrifice Caylee for that worthless piece of flesh, Casey.

Amy, in particular, seems to have been truthful because LE is proceeding with the stolen checks cases.

It all depends on where you live whether it may have been necessary to save your job. Florida, for example, is a state wherein an employer may fire any worker without a contract at any time without warning or cause.

You took the words straight out of my mouth. I came from MA where the employment laws were completely different. Here in FL they can just fire you without any reason...it's scary!

Sorry for OT post!

Sorry if this has been posted already... (1/2 way down the article)

CASEY'S FORMER FRIENDS TAKE LIE DETECTOR TESTS

Detectives still can't shake the truth from Caylee's mom Casey, but her ex-fiancé, ex-lover and ex-best friend have talked and investigators want to make sure it's legitimate.

Sources told Eyewitness News exclusively that Casey's ex-fiancé Jesse Grund, ex-lover Ricardo Morales and ex-best friend Amy Huizenga all went through lie detector tests. Sources said they were conducted not because they were accused of anything, but to make sure detectives could confirm all the details of their stories.

Huizenga is the same friend from whom Casey's accused of stealing checks from.
Good ole unnamed "sources" is busy again leaking, leaking, leaking.

I never thought that Tony was involved. However, if he was asked to take the test and refused, then I would question his involvement. I've felt sorry for the guy and thought he was very smart to keep himself out of the public eye. I can't imagine how embarrassing it would be to find out your girlfriend was a pathological liar who could kill her own child. We need to know his status on taking the test. How can we find out???? There is also the question of why KC was so frantically trying to get his phone number after she was arrested. I sure hope this young man is cooperating with LE in every way. If LE leaked the info to the press about the other three friends, then why not leak whether Tony took it? My hinky meter is starting to go off. Could this be a way of putting pressure on him?

hmmm well maybe they can go on the Moment of Truth there would be some money won involved with that!

This was in Massachusetts, same law, an at will employee I believe it is called.

I live and work in Massachusetts. I suspected that what your company asked you to do was illegal, as I have often seen posted in the break room lists of employee rights. I did a little digging on the internet and found the following:

http://www.lexmundi.com/images/lexmundi/PDF/LaborEmployment/Labor_Employment_DeskBook/LaborEmployment_USA_Massachusetts.pdf

PG 4 snipped: "Massachusetts employers may not require or request as a condition of employment that an employee or applicant take a lie detector test."

They were pretty careful to omit any mention of where the source originated. Has this station in the past used the phrases "sources within the department" or "a source close to the investigation", or is it always vague?

Well, it will prove when they have skin tension, respiration changes, pulse changes and whatever else the leads connect to, but it won't confirm a single fact, substitute for real investigation, be admitted in court to prove truthfulness or to distinguish between the truth and a lie. If it could, we wouldn't need a jury, now would we?
Right on Themis.

A defense atty can arrange for a lie detector test for his client. He does not have to share the results with the prosecution however . Of course, if his client passses, he will make a big deal about it. Somehow I don't think Baez will do that, do you? Mr. Smarmmy Smile knows she is guilty. He really gives me the creeps - he always has that smirk on his face, Can;t waut ti hear the "truth" in his opening statement.

That bothers me too. If information is true and LE has authorized it's release, why not name the person the information came from? "Sources tell us" screams leak. That doesn't mean it's not true, but if you put the info out there, own it. If you're not willing to own it, don't say it.

Polygraph results may not be able to be admitted in court but it does prove these people would do whatever they could for Caylee.

I believe it is evidence of their love for Caylee.

I think finding Caylee or getting justice for her matters to them.

IMO

Lie detector tests are really odd and I don't trust them. Also, I think Casey would have agreed to take one before she had a liar. Someone who lies so much and is in so much denial wouldn't say no to taking one. Saying no would damage their image, also, she'd be hoping until the last second something would happen to get her out of it.

I agree. Good for them and thank you to them. It allows the police to better focus their investigation.

I've heard that those that tend to generally feel 'guilty' about things and may be overly sensitive could fail a lie detector even if they were telling the truth.

This worries me, because if there was some kind of theft at my work and I were questioned, I'd probably remember an ink pen I took home or mailing a bill with the company's evelope. While this isn't something my boss would get angry about, if I were asked if I'd stolen something and I said no, it would probably just show that I was lying.

Even if I was completely innocent, I don't think I'd take one for fear the test might get it wrong. That's why what these young people did is so remarkable...completely selfless and done for Caylee.

That's exactly what Scott Peterson did. He told LE that he was willing to take one but then later told them that his parents said he shouldn't. He told his parents that he wanted to take one but that LE said he was too emotional.

:clap::woohoo::clap:
That's what people who love, care, and worry about Caylee do. They are assisting LE as LE works tirelessly to find the truth.

There will probably always be stonewallers closely involved in this case, but their actions are duly noted by the public, LE and the FBI.

He already his girlfriend was the mother of a two year old that she had spent not one night with in a full month. I would have thought he would think there was something pretty weird about that.

I've wondered about him for a while now....and I think you might be right about putting pressure on him. I hope it works!

Why? They are pro investigators after all...I think they should conduct their investigation the best way they see fit.
