Former Friends Take Lie Detector Tests!

  • #81
I've heard that those that tend to generally feel 'guilty' about things and may be overly sensitive could fail a lie detector even if they were telling the truth.

Very true. I remember Mark Lunsford's mother failed a lie detector test, which we all know had nothing to do with her granddaughters disappearance. I would imagine she felt guilty and blamed herself for her disappearance though. If asked during the test "are you responsible in any way for so and so disappearance" and you blamed yourself in any way you could fail the test.

I say hook Casey up to the polygraph with a professional reading it but Cindy asking her the questions. Casey can't pass one then I bet.

CASEY'S FORMER FRIENDS TAKE LIE DETECTOR TESTS

Detectives still can't shake the truth from Caylee's mom Casey, but her ex-fiancé, ex-lover and ex-best friend have talked and investigators want to make sure it's legitimate.

Sources told Eyewitness News exclusively that Casey's ex-fiancé Jesse Grund, ex-lover Ricardo Morales and ex-best friend Amy Huizenga all went through lie detector tests. Sources said they were conducted not because they were accused of anything, but to make sure detectives could confirm all the details of their stories.

Huizenga is the same friend from whom Casey's accused of stealing checks from.

Just on page one of this thread, but the first thing I thought of in reading this is, what about TonE? There are others too, like TonE's roommates Clint and Nate, and I wonder why all haven't taken a lie detector test?

WOW! Wonder what the results were????

It really doesn't matter. It's their willingness to take one that says the most to LE. We know Casey would pass one without a doubt.

I agree with you, anyone who wants to see how far things have progressed should read the Witches Hammer. Hopefully we will never see the resurgence of trial by fire, water, and the lesser known handy medieval torture techniques.

Perhaps, but then I'd subject myself to a cavity search if (like a lie detector test) it made LE and the general public dismiss me as a POI in my child's disappearance and focus their attention to finding the truth.

I respect the arguments on both sides of the lie detector debate, but making a p!$$!ng contest out of it with my baby missing wouldn't be my priority. Naive, maybe, but whatever it took to rally people behind me in my search I would do.

Wonder if JPC is going to take one?

Unfortunately, it doesn't mention the results.

Perhaps they're the ones who are lying... :)

Wouldn't that be a turnaround.

If they're the ones lying how come Casey is the one going in out of jail on the check fraud charges filed by Bank of America, Target and now Amy?
.
YEAH..THEY'RE LYING AND SWEET LITTLE CASEY IS TELLING THE TRUTH, THE WHOLE TRUTH, NOTHING BUT THE TRUTH...........LET'S GET REAL HERE.

A TRUE sociopath could take the test and pass with flying colors, unfortunately...they do not feel the same things NORMAL people feel when they lie, so they do not trigger the appropriate responses during the test...

And if a person were taking the right medication they'd pass with flying colors too.

Can't an employer fire you if you refuse to take the test amid theft allegations ?

I don't think they could, unless you signed an agreement when you were first employed with them, or somewhere down the line.

No. An employer cannot fire you for that.

In Texas, an employer can fire you "at will". They do not need a reason.

Obviously they passed, or they would have not said again , today, that kc is the ONLY poi in this case.

Did you notice this little tidbit in that news story?

Dude, all a judge would have to do is read a couple of your cough "press releases", before laughing your claim out of court.

This one from the other day is a particularly amusing statement to have been made by someone who claims to be in the business of public relations:

And the judge is sure to get a laugh out of his comment about a reporter in the market's highest rated TV station: "She is a reporter of lies and bile."

I wonder how long it will take for Todd to realize that the TV news community can easily freeze him out, putting him in the position of having to hope that they'll air whatever vitriol he spews next?

He really should do something about his grammar problems, too, and maybe get his own website - you know, like real PR firms - instead of using his aol address.

HAHAHHAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

thats funny, especially the last sentence

carry on :)

I never thought that Tony was involved. However, if he was asked to take the test and refused, then I would question his involvement. I've felt sorry for the guy and thought he was very smart to keep himself out of the public eye. I can't imagine how embarrassing it would be to find out your girlfriend was a pathological liar who could kill her own child. We need to know his status on taking the test. How can we find out???? There is also the question of why KC was so frantically trying to get his phone number after she was arrested. I sure hope this young man is cooperating with LE in every way. If LE leaked the info to the press about the other three friends, then why not leak whether Tony took it? My hinky meter is starting to go off. Could this be a way of putting pressure on him?
IIRC The officer told Casey that they'd already talked to her friends and to TonE. I bet she was frantically trying to get hold of him and he wasn't answering her calls before she got arrested and she continued trying to reach him after she was arrested to see what he'd told them.

It appears she's the type (from what Amy and others said) who once she moves in on a guy is like glue. Probably jealous of any other girl he might pay attention to. It might have been as simple as her being worried that he wasn't answering her calls because he was with someone else.

We don't know that TonE hasn't. As far as the other two, the same goes. Besides, LE isn't necessarily going to LDT every person connected with the case especially if there's corroborating information from several different sources.

No. An employer cannot fire you for that.

However, an employer can refuse to hire someone based upon refusal to submit to a lie detector test.

Not in all states.

People like to believe that, but it does not work that way in real life. There are other indicators in a polygraph besides the heart rate. Also, most of the time now, they use the voice analysis with the polygraph. Once they sign the release for the polygraph it also includes the VA which most people never notice.

I am sure they have been using VA on all of them since the beginning of this case.

I believe she didn't actually fail it but has some responses which were strange and made it uninterpretable. Then the FBI gave her one and she passed it with no problems. Could have just been the person giving the test on the first one too. They re-tested her because the voice analysis indicated she was telling the truth.

I think you're right Turbo, now that I think about it. Maybe it was an inconsistency on the test. Whichever it was, many posters on forums I seen, took it as a sign of guilt.
