I have a problem with some of these protesters who carry signs like "baby killer," etc. Right or wrong, we live in a country where we are considered and protected by law which says we are "innocent until proven guilty in a court of law."

No one in the Anthony family has even been charged with killing Caylee. Maybe one of them did, but to try and convict them in a court of public opinion is wrong! If that were permitted by llaw, we'd all have a lot to fear!

I'm not saying I do or do not think Casey or any of the other family members did or did not kill Caylee. I really have no idea! All I do know is that (as of this moment) none have been charged, much less convicted!



While many cite the First Amendment as justification for the protesting that has been going on around the Anthony home, the "right to peaceful assembly" really has more to do with allowing U.S. citizens the freedom to protest against our own government:



Maybe loosely defining "right to peaceful assembly" might defend the protesters, but the Anthony's and their neighbors have civil rights also, and one of those rights is the right to "quite enjoyment" of their property.

With protesters carrying inflammatory signs that say "baby killer," etc., I do not believe anyone that lives in that neighborhood is able to exercise their right to "quite enjoyment."

I think a quiet, non-inflammatory gathering is okay. Holding signs asking Casey, CA, GA, LA, etc. to please provide the "truth," the necessary information to find Caylee, is okay.

But I think the "angry mob" mentality that seems to exist in the protest is wrong and very harmful to everyone!

I know that this has to be he77 on the neighbors, but I'm not sure what can be done. If the protesters aren't on private property or in the street, is it breaking a law? I know that the screaming has gone too far. I wish that the cops would start charging the loud protesters with disturbing the peace. I find it really disturbing that people would involve their children with this though. How frightening it must be for them to be subjected to such a chaotic environment! Unfortunately I think this neighborhood will basically be held hostage until KC is back in jail. I feel really sorry for the kids who live there that can't even go outside to play

Hey, shouldn't someone call the cops cuz two of the vehicles in their driveway are blocking the sidewalk? I think they can get a citation for that. I think the Anthony's need at least a daily visit from the cops just to remind them that one knock some day soon may be one similar to a week ago Friday.. Buh bye, Casey!

Just go to them and click thru. The only things that locking does is prevents posting, quoting and editing.
