Exactly, Missizzy, had the children lived a while and then died under suspicious causes but in this case, I agree, Munchausen's by Proxy does not fit in this case.

She apparently didn't want to go to the doctor for contraception after a "bad experience." So it was easier to just go through 8 pregnancies and kill the babies afterward? :sick:

Dominique Cottrez, a 51-year-old married mother, has been sentenced to nine years in prison for murdering eight of her newborn babies. Prosecutors had asked for 18 years.

The murders took place over 20 years and her husband and children didn't notice because of her obesity, prosecutors said. The infants were discovered five years ago, when Cottrez sold the home she'd inherited from her parents.

Her defense over the years has been that the babies were the product of rape by her father, who died in 2007, but a week ago Monday she confessed this was untrue.

I suspect Cottrez will serve less than half that sentence. Considering the number of babies killed and the wicked defamation of her father, I think she got off lightly.
